Root Beer Guy's nickname is RBG. Root Beer Guy is Cherry Cream Soda's late husband. Root Beer Guy was created by Princess Bubblegum and was married to Cherry Cream Soda shortly after. Root Beer Guy worked as a telemarketer, until he solved a mystery and was granted the job of Captain of the Banana Guards. Root Beer Guy liked to write mystery novels in his spare time. Root Beer Guy was killed during an attack on the Candy Kingdom. Root Beer Guy took a great risk to defend the Candy Kingdom from an invasion, and died as a result of it, leaving Cherry Cream Soda as a widow.

The Banana Guard act as the main military force for the Candy Kingdom. In addition to military duties, the Banana Guard also manage prison duties, policing the streets, and fulfilling emergency services, such as paramedics or firefighters. Despite their wide variety of roles, most members of the Banana Guard are quite stupid, easily distracted, cowardly, and lazy. Despite their shortcomings, the Banana Guard are fiercely loyal to Princess Bubblegum, and will overcome their dear if it means protecting Princess Bubblegum and the Candy Kingdom. The Banana Guard is called that because it's members wear armor that makes them look like a banana with chocolate sauce and a popsicle stick. Because all the members of the Banana Guard look the same, it's members are not given names, but are instead given number designations, such as Banana Guard 1, Banana Guard 2, Banana Guard 3, and so on.

Princess Bubblegum is the Princess of the Candy Kingdom. Despite having the title of "Princess", Princess Bubblegum acts as the main authority of the Candy Kingdom. Princess Bubblegum is an intelligent and caring ruler, though this sometimes causes her to become overbearing to her citizens, believing them to be incapable of surviving without her constant supervision. Princess Bubblegum also acts as the Head Scientist of her kingdom, inventing all manner of useful tools and equipment. Princess Bubblegum is responsible for creating Root Beer Guy and Cherry Cream Soda, and is also responsible for officiating their wedding soon after creating them. Princess Bubblegum's nickname is PB.

People from outside the Candy Kingdom are not magically tranformed into candy when entering the borders of the Candy Kingdom.

The Veritas Brigade acts a "secret" society that is dedicated to opposing Princess Bubblegum's overbearing rule over them, but in reality it is mostly a forum for malcontent citizens to complain to one another, and as a way for Princess Bubblegum to secretly keep tabs on her citizens discontent. Princess Bubblegum is fully aware of the Veritas Brigade, but doesn't consider them to be a real threat due to their incompetence.
