Origin

• He was born on Earth on February 8, 2495. He spent most of his time near the Pacific Ocean. His sister would be born shortly after and would reside on the colony world of Dwarka. After reading the works of Dr. Elias Carver, his view of the situation on the colonies became very grim.

• In 2524, he briefly reunites with Halsey while attending a conference at the University of Calippus, where he hooks up with her, resulting in the conception of their child Miranda Halsey.
• Early in the Human-Covenant War, he became a widely known hero when he led a small group of security troops against the Covenant ambush of the frigate UNSC Meriwether Lewis and held the Covenant off long enough for the ship to escape. He sustained a deep plasma burn to his thigh and a shattered hand, which later got rebuilt.
• He later took custody of Miranda Keyes in 2531, who took after his name and occupation.
