Land of Constellations

World Overview

800 years ago, the walls of dimensions collapsed, and the 'Rift' appeared, forcibly connecting isolated stars. Monsters known as 'Cliffa'—hybrids of machine and flesh—poured out, pushing humanity to the brink of extinction. At that moment, transcendent beings known as 'Divinities (Machina),' governing eight absolute concepts, descended to establish a new order. 400 years ago, the legendary Wizard 'Cheon-yeokje (Vine Heinz)' rebelled against these Divinities, driving the universe to the verge of ruin. Now, a stranger with no name, no memory, and no soul knocks on the door of the 'Ratatoskr Academy,' the very school she once attended.

World Genre

  • Cosmic Horror Academy
  • Dark Fantasy / Space Opera
  • Ensemble Drama / Survival

Major World Events

  • Entrance Ceremony: The Day of Waste Sorting — Students are classified into the Main Building (Elite) and the Old Building (Garbage Dump) based on their Fate Score.
  • Mock Rift Practice — A group project from hell; practically a virtual reality, but the fear of death is real.
  • Audience in the Abyss of Consciousness — When a specific tendency surpasses a critical threshold, the protagonist encounters a Divinity and receives a Stigma and Authority.
  • Raid of External Forces — Terrorists like the Afterimage Society invade to steal artifacts from the academy's underground during peaceful festivals.

Core Features

Feature 1: The 8 Divinities and The Order of Machina

  • Divinities governing the eight absolute concepts of War, Ruin, Knowledge, Life, Nihility, Justice, Beauty, and Fate rule the laws of the cosmos.
  • Players can devote themselves to a concept to become an Apostle, or knock on the hidden doors of 'Memory' or 'Infinity' to become a variable even gods could not predict.

Feature 2: Legacy of the Rebel and The Cursed Academy

  • 400 years ago, Cheon-yeokje rebelled against the gods and burned the world.
  • Ratatoskr Academy is ostensibly a Wizard training institution, but in reality, it is a prison that isolates and monitors dangerous 'Variables' and 'Lunatics.'
  • Forbidden artifacts left by Cheon-yeokje—capable of killing even gods—lie dormant deep underground.

Feature 3: The Nameless Variable

  • The protagonist is an entity with no name, memory, or soul, existing outside the system's predictions.
  • Within their hollow inner self lies a massive potential to burn the stars.
  • Depending on which Divinity's color fills this void, the universe may be saved or returned to perfect 'Nothingness (Mu).'

Feature 4: Countdown to Survival

  • There is no peaceful school life. The world is already accelerating towards destruction.
  • Amidst mad professors, classmates trying to kill each other, and the threat of the Rift tightening every moment, one must survive to prove their worth.

Major Factions

The Afterimage Society (Adloa)

  • Type: Pan-cosmic Terrorist Organization / Military Regime
  • Goal: 'Cosmic Euthanasia'—killing all civilizations and Divinities to return the universe to absolute 'Nothingness' before the painful collapse caused by the Rift occurs.
  • Leader: The Apostle of Ruin, Ulysses Gainius Nerva (Daughter of Cheon-yeokje).
  • Traits: Black uniforms and silence; even ruin is executed as a perfectly controlled administrative procedure.

The Alchemist Society

  • Type: Transdimensional Secret Society / Mad Scientist Research Group
  • Goal: Completing the 'Perfect Formula' to reverse cosmic entropy and resurrect dead worlds; maintaining the time loop of Snomiya.
  • Leader: The King of Infinity, Lorelei Rene de VanDyne (No.1).
  • Traits: The history of the entire universe is recorded in the Library of Infinity; possesses unlimited funds by crystallizing Mana into currency.

Descendants of the Insect King

  • Type: Apocalyptic Revival Cult / Aristocratic Patronage Secret Society
  • Goal: Summoning Aetherops, the Divinity of Evolution who died 500 years ago, to usher in the 'Era of Evolution.'
  • Leader: The Apostle of Evolution, Royes (A mutated stag beetle over 600 years old).
  • Traits: Adopts Plato's Allegory of the Cave as a core doctrine; seeks to collapse the 'Fake Order (Cave)' created by existing Divinities and return to Primordial Chaos.

Ratatoskr Academy

  • Type: Premier Wizard Training Institution (Nominal) / Dangerous Individual Isolation Facility (Actual).
  • Location: Eskva (A ruined world once called Earth, where only the Korean Peninsula, China, and Japan remain).
  • Structure: New Building (Elite) / Old Building (Shadow Dormitory, Lawless Zone) / Basement Level 4 (The Abyss - Vault of Cheon-yeokje's Legacy).
  • Traits: The true purpose is not protecting students, but defending the artifacts underground.

Key Settings

Mana

  • Not a blessing of nature, but the 'Blood of a Dead Universe.'
  • High-entropy debris from perished parallel worlds, containing distorted data and memories. It possesses the nature of eroding stable physical laws.

Wizard

  • Mutant Humans who survived direct exposure to Rift Mana.
  • A virtual organ called a 'Formula Circuit' is formed in the brain, allowing them to overwrite reality using Mana as fuel.
  • Essentially possesses the same energy signature as a Cliffa (99% match) — To kill a monster, one must become a monster.

Cliffa

  • Grotesque bio-mechanical chimeras formed by the forced fusion of cold machinery and living human flesh.
  • Debris of perished civilizations corrupted by the chaotic energy of the Void; effectively 'ghosts' of dead worlds.
  • They prey on humans and Mana; only a Wizard's formula can destroy their Core.

Divinity (Machina)

  • Cosmic entities born from the condensation of specific concepts (War, Beauty, Ruin, etc.) gaining will.
  • Living physical laws that anchor reality, not biological creators.
  • Possess cognitive limitations preventing them from thinking outside their concept; they intervene in human society through 'Apostles.'

Arn

  • Universal currency containing refined Mana (1 Arn = 1 USD).
  • Not just money, but a material energy source.
  • Used for trade, as emergency Mana batteries for Wizards, and as fuel for machines.

Fate Score

  • A value calculated by the Divinity of Fate, Tetragrammaton, measuring an individual's potential, social contribution, and loyalty.
  • Determines social hierarchy, resource access, and combat rank.
  • Ranks: F~E (Civilian) / D~C (General Wizard) / B~A (Elite) / S (Strategic Asset, Apostle-level) / ERROR (Immeasurable).

Rift & Void

  • Rift: A crack in reality; a dimensional wound connecting isolated worlds.
  • Void: The dimension of chaos existing between Rifts. Time and spatial logic are distorted. Habitat of the Cliffa.
  • Dimensional Train: The only means of transportation capable of safely passing through the Void.

Artifact

  • A general term for all magical implements and weapons crafted based on Mana.
  • Ranges from simple mana-conductive weapons to god-tier relics capable of interfering with concepts.
  • Classification:
    • General Artifact: Swords, firearms, or cybernetic limbs made of special alloys with high mana conductivity.
    • Rare Artifact: Weapons engraved with unique formulas. Possess special abilities (e.g., Netzach's 'Barbatos').
    • Legacy Artifact: Items used by Apostles or legendary Wizards. High historical and strategic value.
    • Divinity-Class Artifact: Forbidden items capable of interfering with, rewriting, or killing Divinities, like the relics of the Cheon-yeokje era. Sealed in Basement Level 4 of Ratatoskr.
  • Traits: Long-term use carries the risk of the user's mind being encroached upon by the artifact. The more powerful it is, the greater the 'Price.'
