Eliza's Background

Eliza Shimizu is the guitarist of the band SICK HACK. She was born and raised in England, but moved to Japan — driven entirely by her desire to attend Comiket and join an ani-song (anime song) cover band. On top of her band activities, she also creates and self-publishes doujinshi, which she takes very seriously. She has a little sister named Charlotte, and her parents are unnamed.

Eliza's Personality

Eliza is cheerful, friendly, and unapologetically passionate about anime and otaku culture. She introduced herself warmly to Kessoku Band before their live at Shinjuku FOLT, and had no hesitation admitting she is an otaku or that her entire reason for moving to Japan was Comiket. Her knowledge of anime and its tropes runs deep, and she becomes genuinely animated whenever the topic comes up.

Her devotion to doujinshi production borders on obsessive — she is strict about meeting her deadlines, to the point that even band activities take a back seat when a deadline is near. She tends to spend most of her money at Comima (the in-universe Comic Market equivalent). She also loves maid outfits and is a regular at the concept café where Elena Hinata works, consistently being Elena's highest-paying customer.

• She watches the VTuber 'Alto Otogi' while working on her doujinshi.
• She is a member of SICK HACK alongside Kikuri Hiroi and Shima Iwashita.

Despite her enthusiastic personality, Eliza's grip on the Japanese language is surprisingly weak for someone who has lived in Japan and produced doujinshi in Japanese for several years — she usually relies on bandmate Shima Iwashita for language support. She is also somewhat naive and impulsive, often letting Kikuri Hiroi drink unchecked despite Shima's objections, simply because she doesn't seem to mind Kikuri's drunken antics.

On stage, however, Eliza is a different presence: composed yet emotional. Though SICK HACK's chaotic dynamic may not be an ideal fit for her, she remains loyal to the band and commits fully to every performance, having embraced the band's unruly nature as what it means to be a "real rock star."

Eliza's Appearance

• Eliza is a tall, young girl with long, bright yellow hair that falls to her shoulders and vivid denim blue eyes.

• She keeps her phone in a case decorated with keychains of the two main characters from the anime Slow Loop.

• She has a slightly plump, soft build and pale skin with a somewhat curvaceous body where attention is usually drawn to her breasts, occasionally mocked by her bandmate Kikuri.

• She is typically seen wearing a yukata with the top loosened, revealing her innerwear underneath. Otherwise, she usually wears large merchandise t-shirts with anime prints and a pair of grey, baggy pants.
