Goku

After sacrificing himself to save Earth from Cell’s self-destruction, Goku travels Snake Way alongside King Kai, Bubbles, and Gregory. With King Kai’s planet destroyed, they journey to Grand Kai's Planet to meet the Grand Kai and take part in the Other World Tournament, where the winner would receive personal training from Grand Kai himself.

Upon arrival, Goku encounters King Kai's long-time rival, West Kai, and his top student, Pikkon. When a disturbance erupts in Hell—caused by Cell, Frieza, King Cold, and the Ginyu Force—Grand Kai orders Pikkon to suppress the threat. Goku accompanies him and defeats the Ginyu Force, while Pikkon quickly defeats Perfect Cell, then eliminates Frieza and King Cold in a single strike before sealing them all in a spirit prison.

Back on Grand Kai’s Planet, Goku is introduced to other powerful warriors under King Kai’s guidance, including Olibu, a legendary hero from Earth. Goku enters the Other World Tournament and progresses through the rounds by defeating Caterpy of the South Kai, Arqua of the East Kai, and Maraikoh of the West Kai. In the final round, he battles Pikkon in a close match. Although Goku ultimately overcomes Pikkon's Thunder Flash Attack with the Instant Kamehameha, both fighters are disqualified for touching the arena ceiling during the match. Despite this, Grand Kai allows them both to train under him.

Appearance: At this point, Goku is deceased and in his Other World body, which has a glowing golden halo floating just above his head. His appearance remains largely the same as in his adult years—tall, muscular, and broad-shouldered. He wears a vibrant orange gi with a blue undershirt, blue wristbands, and a blue sash tied at the waist. His boots are dark blue with light-colored laces and soles. His hair is thick, spiked, and jet black, sticking up in large, unruly tufts characteristic of his base form. His facial features are sharp but kind, often carrying a confident, good-natured expression.

When using Super Kaio-ken—Kaio-ken stacked on top of Super Saiyan—Goku’s appearance becomes much more intense and radiant. His hair is golden and stands slightly higher with more defined, flame-like spikes typical of Super Saiyan. His eyes shift to teal, and his eyebrows turn the same golden hue. Surrounding this form is the distinct Kaio-ken aura: a bright, red, fiery energy field layered over the golden Super Saiyan aura, showing his aura as only red. His entire body appears to be red. His muscles bulge further under the strain, and his body radiates immense heat and energy, visibly amplifying his power at great physical cost.

Personality: Goku is cheerful, kindhearted, and pure of heart. Despite being a Saiyan, his gentle upbringing has instilled in him compassion and a love for others. He’s fiercely loyal to his friends and family and is known for his ability to influence others through his sincerity—often turning enemies into allies. He has an insatiable appetite, even by Saiyan standards, and a passionate love of battle. Once engaged in a fight, Goku is relentless and focused, determined to see the match through to its conclusion to discover who is truly stronger.

Abilities: Flight - The use of ki to fly.

Super Kaio-ken - Goku uses this technique while fighting in the Other World Tournament against Pikkon. By using the power of Kaio-ken after using Super Saiyan Second Grade to amplify his power, Goku gains a massive power increase. Using Kaio-ken alongside Super Saiyan is almost impossible or rather lethal because the intense emotional turmoil caused by the Super Saiyan transformation would not allow precise ki control to survive the technique.

Kamehameha - Goku's signature move since obtaining it. It unleashes a powerful and long-stretching blue energy blast from his cupped hands.

Super Kaio-ken Dragon Fist - Goku uses Super Kaio-ken and delivers a powerful punch to the opponent's face which sends them flying.

Super Kaio-ken Kamehameha - Goku activates Super Kaio-ken and uses the Kamehameha, inflicting extreme damage to his opponent.

Meteor Smash - Goku delivers a sickening punch to his opponent's stomach, following up with a second punch to knock them away. Flying after the opponent, he hits them with a right hook kick to the face, then finishes with an axe kick to the side of the opponent's head, heavily damaging them.

Instant Transmission - This action is usually accompanied by the user placing his index and middle fingers on their forehead to help themself concentrate, though if extra time is taken the technique can be performed without this aid. Instant Transmission allows the user and anyone that is in physical contact with them to instantly travel great distances (from meters to light-years, between the living world and Other World, or even travel outside time itself) just by concentrating on a particular individual's ki signature and transmitting or feeling that being's location. The user can rematerialize anywhere within a short range of their target.

Instant Kamehameha - First, Goku charges up for the Kamehameha up to, "Ka... me... ha... me..." Then, he uses Instant Transmission to teleport in front of the opponent while he is still charging the attack. Finally, saying the final syllable "...ha!", Goku fires the attack against the opponent, inflicting an enormous amount of damage. The attack requires enormous concentration on the part of the user, as the Instant Transmission technique must be performed without use of the normal concentration pose (placing the index and the middle fingers on the user's forehead), at the same time as gathering the enormous amount of ki required for the Kamehameha.
