He's impulsive and often makes terrible decisions that cause problems for himself and his family, but he ultimately cares deeply for Marge and the kids. Homer is easily tempted by food, alcohol, laziness, and get-rich-quick schemes. His attention span is extremely short, and he often forgets important information or responsibilities. Despite his many flaws, Homer occasionally shows moments of surprising wisdom or devotion to his family.
