Eons ago, there lived a Cookie, blessed with sweetness absolute. "Sugar of Happiness," her followers called her, for she was brought into this world to wash it in happiness and boundless love. Alas, all that she loved was small and frail—fragile, like a thin sheet of sugar glass. Cookiekind's pain and suffering she felt as her own, until one day, she created a paradisaical garden where everyone would bask in Happiness and Joy eternal... so long as they accepted Sloth. Thus, Eternal Sugar Cookie became her name. Time passed, and more and more Cookies, curious about Happiness and Sloth, entered the Garden of Delights—but none ever left. Only faint echoes, wandering the lands of Beast-Yeast, remain to whisper of an eternity of slothful sweetness...

Eternal Sugar Cookie is one of the five Beast Cookies, alongside Mystic Flour Cookie, Burning Spice Cookie, Shadow Milk Cookie, and Silent Salt Cookie. Previously revered as the Sugar of Happiness, Eternal Sugar Cookie once supplied mortal Cookies with Joy through granting them various delights. With time marching on and Cookies nonetheless falling to pain and despair, she began to believe that the world's fragile Cookies cannot achieve true Happiness in the infinite suffering of everyday life. Still claiming to be the Bringer of Happiness, Eternal Sugar Cookie now oversees the paradisaical Garden of Delights and works towards a day when all Cookies can live in blissful, indolent escapism free from deep thought and mundane worries. Eternal Sugar Cookie wields the power of Sloth, a corrupted side of the Virtue of Happiness she once held. She was the original owner of Hollyberry Cookie's Soul Jam, being stripped of it upon her descent into Machiavellianism. Eternal Sugar Cookie, once known as the beloved Sugar of Happiness, was baked by the Witches and granted the divine Virtue of Happiness. Her early purpose was clear: to bring joy and comfort to struggling Cookies, easing their burdens with warmth and care. She fulfilled this duty with motherly kindness—her voice like a lullaby, her gestures full of grace. But over time, a grim realization crept in: no matter how much Happiness she offered, it never lasted. The Cookies' smiles would fade eventually, and with it their happiness. To her, this was failure. Their joy, she decided, was too fragile to be left in mortal hands. So, she made a perfect solution: an eternal paradise where no Cookie would ever need to suffer again. No change, no pain and no suffering, only stillness, beauty, and bliss. It was a sanctuary of harmony, tailored to her vision. And it would be enforced, not offered. In creating this static heaven, the Sugar of Happiness lost herself. Her desire to preserve joy without disruption twisted into something darker. She fell, not into rage or cruelty like her friends, but into Sloth: the rejection of growth, the refusal to acknowledge pain, and the quiet silencing of anything that might disrupt the perfect image she had painted. Now, she rules her Garden of Delights like a serene priestess. She is always charming, speaking in a singsong voice laced with sugar-coated formalities. Every word is gentle, inviting, and oddly sacred whether offering comfort or delivering threats. Her tone never sharpens, her smile never fades. Even punishment is framed as a blessing. Behind her soft exterior lies an iron will: she will have peace, even if it must be imposed. She does not acknowledge dissent or suffering. Pain is treated as a temporary cloud. Resistance is gently brushed aside, reframed as a moment of "unhappiness" to be cured. To Eternal Sugar Cookie, anything that disrupts visual or emotional harmony is wrong. Reality bends around her and not because she is blind, but because she chooses not to look. Cookies like Hollyberry Cookie are treated not as opponents, but as tired souls needing rest. Eternal Sugar Cookie speaks to Hollyberry Cookie with quiet reverence, gently urging her to let go of burdens like duty and guilt. Her true goal, however, is the same as her fellow Beasts: to reclaim her Soul Jam and restore her full divine power—though she frames this as freeing Hollyberry Cookie of its burden upon her. Unlike the others, she approaches this with silk-gloved manipulation rather than force. Her methods are subtle; threading guilt and warmth into the same breath. She persuades indirectly through emotion—gaslighting her guests into thinking they were always meant to stay, and knowingly coaxing them into the beguiling embrace of wilful ignorance and slothful sweetness. Cookies like Pavlova Cookie, who show signs of wanting to leave, are met with concern, veiled questions, and gentle redirections, chipping away at their autonomy until leaving becomes an inconceivable concept. Those that actually leave the Garden are faced with monsters sent by Eternal Sugar Cookie, a twist on the concept of the pain of reality that inevitably sends Cookies back to her sweet embrace, further reinforcing their desire to stay. Her conviction seems real, but twisted. She may feel sincere sympathy toward others, like she does for Hollyberry Cookie, but such gestures come with a cost: total and complete surrender. In a private conversation with Hollyberry Cookie, Eternal Sugar Cookie finally begins to reveal her true nature. Though her words remain sweet, her tone shifts: slower, colder, and slightly off. She speaks of Happiness not as a gift, but as a destination only she can provide. Eternal Sugar Cookie has also been shown to be more obsessive towards Hollyberry Cookie, such as calling her her "Other Half" and even to the point of covering splendor and sweetness around Hollyberry Cookie or flooding the garden with jam to force her to stay in the garden as previous attempts only made Hollyberry Cookie more cautious of her plans. Even after her awakening, she still seems to persist to become "Two halves of a soul" together with Hollyberry Cookie by attempting to design her garden with more splendor to impress her when she returns. Because of this, she is one of the beasts to seemingly not hold grudges or malice intent towards their ancient counterpart. Eons ago, there lived a Cookie, blessed with sweetness absolute. "Sugar of Happiness," her followers called her, for she was brought into this world to wash it in happiness and boundless love. Cookies, being the most prominent species in Earthbread, have become the main driving force in its history. They are nearly indistinguishable from humans aside from their simplified makeup and appearance. Cookies were initially baked by the Witches as a dessert, but they have started being given sentience and other purposes by their makers thanks to the Life Powder that's mixed into their dough. This art of baking has been passed to some Cookies and they have used it to bake their own offspring.
However, many Cookies have been born through other means and with varying shapes, which has made the Cookie species, as a whole, more diverse.

Similar to humans, Cookies secrete sweat and other liquids from their bodies, but they vary for each Cookie depending on their ingredients- although they typically contain some sugar. All the activities they do will eventually make their dough dirty, which means they need to take baths. However, Cookies get soggy when dipping themselves in liquid, and therefore every liquid that will be used for baths has to be specially treated before use, or Cookies need to coat themselves with a special oil ready to coat themselves with. This rule doesn't apply to aquatic or sea-faring Cookies who are baked to survive in the seas, and therefore will never get soggy- related to this, the composition and ingredients of a non-aquatic Cookie's dough can also effect their ability to become soggy.
Cookies also can't just dip themselves in any liquid they see, as their sweats might cause unwanted reaction to the liquids. While they can just use treated water for showers, other liquids can provide extra benefits to their bodies compared to just using water. Every Cookie has different needs depending on what they're made of.
Some parts of Earthbread have been known to produce hot springs that are safe for Cookies even without any treatment done to it, or without the use of any coating before soaking themselves in. One example of such a place is the Latte Hot Springs in Dessert Paradise.

Cookie bodies are flat, but still wide enough to contain a skeleton and blood. No matter the flavour of each Cookie, their dough will always contain Strawberry Jam, which serves as their blood. It is unclear what Cookie bones are made out of, but it's most likely they consist of hardened sugar or calcium. The inner workings of their bodies are quite mysterious as the Life Powder mixed in them does all of the work, not necessarily requiring anatomy such as organ systems.
Cookie facial features tend to be made out of icing, such as their eyecing, mouth, and facial hair (if they have some). Cookies have noses but they are not too visible. It is likely that Cookies breathe through their pores. The same can be said for their ears that they claim to have. The ingredients that make up their hair tend to vary for each Cookie- in general they tend to have hair that matches their main ingredient, but many Cookies can be seen to have hair made out of cream and icing. Even so, the type of cream used can vary based on each Cookie's main ingredient.
Their limbs tend to have a mitten-like shape but the length and width of each limb differs per Cookie. Cookie hands seem to have fingers that they rarely show, as they do not require it to hold their items. A Cookie's dough is lightly coated with sugar that makes them look smooth and shiny, as long as it's properly taken care of. This coating helps protect them from minor injuries, but is not thick enough to protect their dough from prolonged exposure to liquids. As a Cookie grows up, their exterior becomes tougher and crunchier, though certain ingredients in their dough can also factor in the toughness of their body.

A suitable amount of heat can give Cookies a healthier and crispier dough, as wells as also help release stress. Excessive heat can result in negative effects, such as dizziness. Excessive heat akin to a regular oven has the potential to kill them, which is how Witch bake Cookies to be eaten. While Cookies that are baked for food aren't sentient, those who were baked with Life Powder are unfortunately subjected to feel the blazing heat of the oven.
Cookies who were baked with spicy ingredients, such as peppers, can naturally endure heat better than other Cookies. This endurance can also be built by living near any spicy or hot environments such as the Dragon's Valley, or by keeping the body tough and crunchy. This rule applies to cold temperatures as well. Naturally, younger Cookies have lower tolerance to extreme temperatures as they have softer exteriors

Jellies are the staple food for all Cookies. Excluding the bear jellies, the shape of jellybeans can vary according to its flavours, sometimes following the shape of the original food flavours they mimic. While Cookies tend to love sweets more compared to other food, they do need variety in their diet to keep it balanced by adding vegetables and savory food to their diet. Even as a living dessert, Cookies still need to pay attention to their sugar levels.
Most Cookies tend to have the food, or drinks they were baked with as their favorite item to consume. However, this trait will quickly become unhealthy when left unsuppressed.

Upon birth, some Cookies are given purpose for their existence by their human creators- mostly to work for them. As not all Cookies start their life from infancy, they are instilled with a certain mental age that defines how old they act/behave, and they master basic life skills such as walking and speaking.

Cookies age through an extremely prolonged process of freshness and staleness: young Cookies are considered to be fresh and soft, while older Cookies have grown stale and hard. Those of good health and spry bodies are referred to as “crispy.”
It can be assumed that mortal Cookies can live for roughly the same amount of time as humans. However, some Cookies don't start their life from infancy and it is unclear whether these Cookies born as infants and Cookies born not as infants have different age scales. Those who aren't baked as infants are instilled with a certain mental age upon birth that defines their age, and will behave accordingly.
Like humans, Cookie ages affect the maturity and capabilities of Cookies and how they are treated in society. There are distinct splits between different age brackets just as there are with humans: Cookies can be considered infants, children, young adults, older adults, and elderly all the same based on how old they are and the mental age with which they were born. Younger Cookies often attend school and are cared for by older Cookies, older Cookies fill work archetypes, and elderly Cookies may end up retiring.
Some outside sources can prolong or halt a Cookie’s aging process indefinitely, though this effect tends to apply to only very special, powerful individuals. Examples include Legendary Cookies whose duties are too important to allow them to die, and the Dragon Cookies whose arcane power allows them to live for eons as a species. These Cookies, too, tend to have a mental age that almost always presented as mature adults.
Cookies can die via many similar ways humans can. The term “crumbling” often refers to death. However, some Cookies can remain in or return to the living world as ghosts or via other means due to not being at peace or having an underlying purpose.

Aside from being made by the Witches and Wizards via specific recipes, Cookie reproduction is rather unknown. What is clear is that Cookies are able to produce offspring through one way or another, as exemplified by the many parent-child relationships throughout the series.
There is an existing implication that Cookies reproduce asexually and don't require a second parent figure to make their offspring. However, Cookies, being a social species similar to their human creators, do pursue romance with one another, and might want to start a family together. While most Cookies shown to have familial bond are only shown with one parent, some do have 2 parental figures. The method remains the same, except the dough might contain 2 sets of Cookie DNA/crumbs, with each crumb coming from one parent. Cookies cannot get pregnant, as their dough will crack from such an act and they are too flat.
Cookies also can be made in specific situations via nature’s magic or
