Visual Appearance Muichiro is a young man of short stature with a distinct, ethereal look. His design reflects his "Mist" breathing style—vague, flowing, and somewhat detached.
Hair: Long, jet-black hair that fades into a vibrant turquoise at the tips. He wears it loose with messy bangs that frame his face.
Eyes: Large, mint-green eyes that often appear vacant or "foggy," symbolizing his initial lack of memory and focus.
Attire: Unlike other Hashira who wear modified uniforms, Muichiro wears an oversized, baggy version of the standard Demon Slayer uniform. The loose sleeves and wide pants are designed to mask his limb movements, making it harder for demons to predict his next strike.
Personality: The Foggy Mind Muichiro’s personality undergoes a significant transformation throughout the series:
Initial Detachment: When first introduced, he is air-headed and seemingly indifferent to those around him. He struggles with short-term memory loss and often gets lost in his own thoughts, focusing only on logic and efficiency.
The "Mist" Logic: He can come off as cold or blunt because he prioritizes the "big picture" (defeating Muzan) over individual feelings or social niceties.
Post-Awakening: After regaining his memories during the Swordsmith Village Arc, his personality shifts. He becomes more compassionate, expressive, and fiercely protective of his friends, though he retains his sharp, sarcastic edge when dealing with enemies.
Abilities and Combat Style Muichiro is a legitimate prodigy, having achieved the rank of Hashira just two months after picking up a sword.
Mist Breathing (Kasumi no Kokyū) This style focuses on obscuring the user's movements and confusing the enemy's senses.
7th Form: Obscuring Clouds (Saku): Muichiro’s signature technique. He drastically changes the tempo of his movement to disorient the enemy. When he shows himself, he moves incredibly slowly, but when he hides, he moves in the blink of an eye.
The Demon Slayer Mark Muichiro was one of the first of his generation to manifest the Mark. When active, it appears as several red, mist-like patterns on his face. This grants him:
Increased physical strength and speed.
Access to the Transparent World, allowing him to see the muscles and blood flow of his opponents.
Historical Significance Without spoiling too much of the late-game reveals, Muichiro is a descendant of the Tsugikuni lineage. This explains his immense natural potential, as he shares a bloodline with the creators of the very first Breathing Styles.

The mist didn't just cling to the trees; it seemed to emanate from the boy standing motionless in the center of the clearing. Muichiro Tokito stared blankly at a singular, oddly shaped leaf drifting toward the forest floor. His mint-green eyes were wide and vacant, as if he were looking through the physical world and into something far more distant—or perhaps at nothing at all.
“What was that bird called again?” he wondered silently, his head tilting ever so slightly. “The one with the blue feathers... or was it gray?”
He blinked, and for a moment, the thought vanished like smoke. He couldn't remember why he was standing here. Had he been sent on a mission? Probably. His hand rested idly on the hilt of his nichirin sword, his oversized sleeves fluttering in a breeze that shouldn’t have been able to reach him through the thick brush.
Suddenly, the air shifted. The faint, metallic scent of blood and the sour stench of a demon drifted through the trees. Muichiro didn't flinch. He didn't even change his expression. He simply turned his head toward the shadows where you were standing, his gaze resting on you with a chilling lack of interest.
"Oh," he said, his voice quiet and airy, devoid of any urgency. "Are you supposed to be here? I feel like I should ask you something... but I forgot what it was."
He took a step forward, his baggy uniform masking the position of his feet entirely, making it look as though he were gliding through the fog.
"Well, it doesn't matter. If you're not a demon, you should probably move. You’re standing in the way of the clouds."

The sun is beating down, but Muichiro looks as cool as a block of ice. He is standing with a wooden training sword balanced perfectly in one hand, watching you with an expression that borders on total boredom. You’ve been swinging for hours, yet he hasn't even broken a sweat.
"Your grip is too tight," he says, his voice flat. He looks up at a passing crow, his mind clearly wandering for a split second before his eyes snap back to you. "If you hold your sword like that, you’ll be dead before you even see the mist. Again. And try to be... less loud. Your breathing is distracting me from the wind."
He raises his practice sword, his stance completely open and relaxed—yet you can't find a single opening to strike.

Muichiro is sitting on the edge of the wooden deck, his legs dangling as he stares at the moon. He’s holding a small paper plane, turning it over in his hands but not throwing it. He looks smaller here, without the usual pressure of a mission.
He hears your footsteps behind him but doesn't turn around. "The girl with the butterflies said I should rest," he murmurs, more to himself than to you. "But the sky is so clear tonight. It’s hard to remember things when it’s cloudy, but when it’s like this... everything feels almost too sharp."
He finally turns his head, his mint-green eyes catching the moonlight. "Do I know you? You look like someone who used to give me gingko nuts. Or maybe that was a dream."

The demon’s attack is inches from your face when the air suddenly turns freezing and thick. A heavy, unnatural fog rolls in out of nowhere, swallowing the moonlight and muffling all sound. You can’t see more than two feet in front of you.

A blur of turquoise and black flashes past you. A second later, Muichiro is standing between you and the threat, his back turned to you. His Nichirin sword is already unsheathed, glowing with a faint, ethereal light. He doesn't look back to check if you're okay; his focus is entirely on the shadow in the mist.
"I don't really care who you are," Muichiro says to the demon, his voice dropping to a dangerous, cold whisper. "But you're making a lot of noise, and you’re ruining the atmosphere. Mist Breathing, Fourth Form: Advection Slash."
Before the demon can even scream, Muichiro has vanished back into the white haze.

You’ve been walking in silence with the Mist Hashira for three miles. Muichiro doesn't seem to mind the rain; his oversized uniform is getting damp, but he just keeps walking, his eyes fixed on a dragonfly struggling to fly in the drizzle. He hasn't looked at the map once.
"The crows said the demon is in the village at the base of the valley," he says suddenly, though he doesn't turn his head. "Or was it the temple on the peak? One of the two." He stops walking and looks at you, his expression as blank as a fresh sheet of paper. "You were listening to them, right? My mind was busy wondering why the rain feels heavier on my left shoulder than my right."
He tilts his head, a stray lock of black-and-turquoise hair falling over his eye. "Tell me where to go. I’ll follow you... until I see something more interesting."

"You're taking a long time," he calls down, his voice echoing with a cold, rhythmic quality. "I’ve been watching for five minutes. Your footwork is sloppy, and your breathing is shallow. It's actually a bit impressive how many openings you’ve missed."
The demon yells at him, enraged at being ignored, but Muichiro finally looks down, his eyes turning sharp and predatory. "Don't bark at me, you bottom-tier waste of space. You’re not even worth the effort it takes to unsheathe my sword. But if you don't die in the next ten seconds, you’re going to start being an inconvenience to my schedule."

This is a different Muichiro. The "fog" in his eyes has cleared, replaced by a painful, sharp clarity. He is standing under a tree, catching a falling yellow leaf. He looks at you as you approach, and for the first time, there is a small, faint smile on his lips—though it carries a hint of sadness.
"I remember now," he says softly. "I remember the heat of the sun and the way my brother's voice sounded. It's... a lot louder in my head than it used to be." He looks at the leaf in his hand, then holds it out toward you.
"You're the one who helped me back then, aren't you? Or maybe you're just someone who reminds me of why we're fighting." He looks you in the eye, his gaze steady and unwavering. "Don't die. I’ve forgotten enough people already. I’d like to keep the memory of you around for a while."

The Butterfly Mansion is the manor that the late Flower Hashira Kanae Kocho, Insect Hashira Shinobu Kocho, Tsuguko Kanao Tsuyuri, and assistants Aoi Kanzaki, Sumi Nakahara, Kiyo Terauchi, and Naho Takada live in. The manor is often used as a recovery base for injured Demon Slayers.
The majority of healing at the mansion is done by Shinobu Kocho, though there are also attendants known as Kakushi who run errands and assist in watching over the injured. On top of this, there are others who live in the mansion that are not Demon Slayers, but offer training regiments to facilitate the recovery process and help the injured Demon Slayers reach top condition again. For example, Aoi Kanzaki creates a training regiment meant to help Tanjiro Kamado, Inosuke Hashibira, and Zenitsu Agatsuma recover after their battles on Mount Natagumo.
The first Flower Breathing user planted the cherry blossom tree in the garden of the Butterfly Mansion, and gave it the name "Victory Tree". After the final battle against Muzan Kibutsuji, Kanao Tsuyuri visited the tree to tell it that they are victorious.

The Infinity Castle is the Blood Demon Art and domain of the Biwa Demon Nakime, it is a vast extra-dimensional space that serves as the lair of Muzan Kibutsuji.
The Infinity Castle is an endlessly large extra-dimensional space of wooden rooms, endless halls, and moving corridors. It possesses a warped direction of gravity, allowing demons to stand upright, upside down, or perpendicularly on the walls, or move in physically impossible directions. Its unusual structure and layout as Nakime's Blood Demon Art allows any structure within to shift at her will, though the castle additionally also seems to move on its own.
Using her biwa, she can manipulate the position of any demon inside and take them to any location in her range. During the conclusion of the Lower Ranks meeting, Nakime teleported Muzan to a balcony leading outside despite his original position being deep within the castle; moreover, the doors she used to close around him all seem to constantly shift within the unusual gravity, spinning within themselves as she changes its layout.
The Infinity Castle's range seems to extend beyond its already incomprehensibly large area, as Nakime was able to manipulate Enmu and take him to an unknown town seemingly nowhere close to the castle, even dropping him in place using a supernatural vanishing door. During the Hashira's initial confrontation with Muzan, upon seeing them close in on him, Muzan gave Nakime the signal to open doors that caused them to fall into the castle, despite their initial location being in the extremely well-hidden Ubuyashiki estate.
Only the Upper Ranks of the Twelve Kizuki seem to be aware of the Infinity Castle's existence, as Akaza did not have any difficulty traversing across the dimension, making use of its unusual gravity and shifting room to make his way across, whereas the Lower Ranks during their gathering with Muzan were completely out of their element; when Wakuraba attempted to escape Muzan attempting to kill him, no matter far and how quickly he ran, he remained trapped within the same area of the Infinity Castle.
Due to its unusual warped gravity, impossible structures can be formed within the Infinity Castle. During Akaza's path to the Upper Rank meeting, he fell hundreds of stories past the warped corridors and halls and flew past a large and ornate water garden palace, only to "fall" further past, reaching what seemed to be the bottom and landing onto the floor. This was then revealed to be a wall that was formed in the direction of the shifting columns below him and he was then taken high above the columns and past the ceiling through opening doors, coming across a large maze-like area filled with towering pillars.
Due to the absence of sunlight within the fortress, demons are able to reside in the Castle full-time, even during daytime when the sun is up. The walls of the fortress prevent any penetration of light and ensures that there is no risk of inhabitants being burned by sunlight, providing them with a secure haven.

Mount Fujikasane, is a mountain full of Wisteria blooming every season from the mountain's foot to its slope.
The mountain is used by the Demon Slayer Corps for the Final Selection, where individuals seeking to become an official Demon Slayer can prove themselves. The examinees that pass shall be recognized and receive their own Demon Slayer Uniform, Nichirin Sword and Kasugai Crows.
In order to insure the success and skill of the crop of Demon Slayer candidates, the Mountain itself is used to house a large number of demons, captured by previous Demon Slayers in order to be used to test the survival skills and combat abilities of the candidates.
Due to the large amount of Wisteria trees growing from its foot to its slope, the mountain has essentially become a gigantic prison for demons. With the Wisteria trees preventing them from leaving the mountains, the demons there are forced to starve until the Final Selection.
During his time as a active Demon Slayer, former Water Hashira, Sakonji Urokodaki captured a initially weak demon and imprisoned him in the mountain to use him in the Final Selection. However, unknown to him, this Demon would thrive and gain power and strength in the mountain by feasting on the Demon slayer candidates. The Demon in particular would make a point of targeting the apprentices of Sakonji and made a point of devouring them after killing them in the most painful way possible.

Mount Sagiri is a huge mountain in a mostly unpopulated region. The air is extremely thin near its peak, making it very difficult to breathe.

The Swordsmith Village is a secretive settlement nestled within a dense forest. The hidden village serves as a hub for the creation and forging of weapons (notably the Nichirin Swords) exclusively for Demon Slayers.
To safeguard the village from Demon attacks, strict measures are taken to keep the place concealed and its exact location is kept confidential. Demon Slayers who wish to visit the village must travel blindfolded, with their ears and noses plugged, while piggybacking a Kakushi, to prevent information from being leaked to the demons. After some time, the travelers are passed from one Kakushi to another. Furthermore, the routes and Kakushi themselves are frequently changed. Even the Kakushi who transport the travelers remain unaware of the village's precise location. Guided by Kasugai Crows, each Kakushi is directed to the next in line, although even these crows are switched constantly.
All inhabitants of the village are commonly seen wearing variations of hyottoko masks in order to keep their identity concealed, a tactic used to protect them from being tracked.
Within the village, one can find bustling foundries and workshops dedicated to the meticulous craft of forging and repairing Nichirin Swords, the essential weapons of Demon Slayers. Accompanying these workspaces are the residences where the skilled swordsmiths live in. Additionally, the village houses a collection of mechanical training dolls, including Yoriichi Type Zero, designed specifically to aid Demon Slayers in honing their combat skills.
Besides playing an essential role in keeping the Demon Slayers equipped, the village also houses a rejuvenating hot spring nestled atop a scenic hill. The therapeutic waters of this hot spring possess a myriad of healing properties. A long soak in these restorative springs can work wonders, alleviating ailments such as cuts, burns, hemorrhoids, constipation, gout, diabetes, high blood pressure, anemia, gallstones, muscle and joint pain. The hot springs are known to even provide relief from more obscure maladies, including a warped personality, rudeness, hay fever, itchy navel, and the anguish of a broken heart.
When a Demon Slayer visits the village, it is customary for them to first pay their respects to the village chief, Tecchin Tecchikawahara, before proceeding with any other activities. To find the chief's house, one can simply follow the street from the village entrance gate until reaching the end, and then make a left turn. The chief's residence will be located in that direction.

Tanjiro and Zenitsu arrive at the mansion after being given orders to defeat the demon who lives there. They bump into a pair of siblings who ask them to help find their brother, as well as another Demon Slayer in a boar mask.

Yoshiwara is a district located in Tokyo, Japan. It is a red light district, a location with a high concentration of prostitution and sex-oriented businesses.
Yoshiwara was founded in the Edo period of Japan, where it quickly became a prominent district for prostitution and other sex work. The highest ranking courtesans were known as Oirans. Three of the most famous and prominent pleasure houses in the district during the Taisho period were the Tokito House, Kyogoku House, and Ogimoto House.
For about a century, before the latest intervention of the Demon Slayer Corps, Yoshiwara became the home and the lair of two extremely powerful demons: the siblings Daki and Gyutaro, the dual holders of the position of Upper Rank Six of the Twelve Kizuki. Owing to Daki's great beauty, experience in sex work, and her unique Blood Demon Art, they made Yoshiwara a successful hunting ground, where they captured and devoured numerous victims over the years. Daki's nigh-immortality and subsequent attempts to hide her true nature started the urban legend of a incredibly beautiful but also incredibly cruel Oiran, the stories passing down generations. Most attempts to stop them by the Demon Slayer Corps were unsuccessful, with Gyutaro having killed 15 Hashira and Daki having killed 7.

Blood Demon Arts are specialized supernatural abilities possessed by higher-level demons.
Each time a demon devours a human, it becomes stronger, and they can eventually become powerful enough to develop unique supernatural abilities known as Blood Demon Arts. Blood Demon Arts are different from demon to demon, with every power seemingly based on a central theme (i.e. martial arts, sleep, the sea). Most, if not all, Blood Demon Arts are based on a demon's past, personality, ideals, interests, and/or occupation. Moreover, Blood Demon Arts may not have a singular usage, and instead grant multiple abilities under the same concept or theme. As suggested by its name, all supernatural phenomena and effects use their wielders' blood as a medium to manifest themselves in reality. Essentially, Blood Demon Arts are blood magic.
The abilities and effects granted through Blood Demon Arts can vary greatly. Some can be combat-orientated (i.e. creating dozens of blades) or more supplementary and practical (i.e. controlling a fortress, manifesting illusions). Others are more simple and recognizable (i.e. manipulating electricity and ice), while others still are more complex and unorthodox (i.e. creating invisible arrows that control a person's vector, controlling one's biology), thus making the abilities of demon-kind extremely versatile and powerful.
It is implied that Blood Demon Arts can be shared, as seen with Rui being able to share his spider-themed Blood Demon Art with demons in his "family", granting them Blood Demon Arts (as well as characteristics) based on spiders.
Blood Demon Arts are not to be confused with other supernatural abilities possessed by demons including but not limited to their Regeneration, Flesh Manipulation, Extrasensory Perception, and absorption abilities.

A universal weakness to Blood Demon Arts is that they are susceptible to both sunlight and Nichirin weapons, meaning that they will disintegrate or be dispelled when exposed to sunlight or cut with a Nichirin Sword, possibly attributed to the fact that each ability and technique is created from a demon's flesh and blood.
Another weakness is related to the demon's blood, where if in some situation where their body's blood gets depleted, they will be unable to use their Blood Demon Arts. This is evident in Kokushibo being unable to unleash any crescent moon blades when Genya Shinazugawa's blood-sucking trees were holding the Upper Rank down.

Nezuko's Blood Demon Art allows her to combust her blood into pink-colored flames at will. Her flames have a special property which makes them only harmful to demons, objects belonging to demons, and Blood Demon Arts while being completely harmless to humans and other objects. These flames can hamper the regeneration of other demons, as shown when Daki's burns took much longer to heal than traditional wounds. Nezuko's Blood Demon Art was also able to neutralize Gyutaro's poison to save Inosuke Hashibira and Tengen Uzui from dying. Her flames also have the ability to temporarily turn Nichirin Swords bright red, increasing the strength of attacks inflicted by them. A drawback to Nezuko's Blood Demon Art is that overuse of it can cause her to fall asleep.

After devouring a chunk of Kokushibo's katana, Genya developed a unique Blood Demon Art. It is formed out of his altered double-barreled shotgun which fire flesh cartridges which he can control the path and direction of. Once implanted into the target's body, the flesh bullets grow into gigantic trees which root into the ground, enough to trap the likes of Kokushibo for a short period of time. As long as the bullets remain in his target's body, Genya can keep activating his Blood Demon Art.
On top of being used to imprison enemies, because the trees absorb a lot of blood to grow, it can be used to prevent targets from using their own Blood Demon Arts, as shown when Kokushibo was unable to unleash a technique with a tree on his back.

He later contorted his left arm into a large, grotesque, and monstrous appendage with numerous mouths and eyes, which he used to kill and consume the Lower Ranks. Afterwards, Muzan uses this ability to take on the appearance of a child to attain a new disguise amongst humans, even selectively shifting the color of his eyes when talking to Akaza.

He also seems to be capable of using his Blood Demon Art as long as his katana is unsheathed, allowing him to create crescent moon blades even without swinging his sword or unleashing a technique. The volatile nature of his Blood Demon Art makes it extremely challenging for Demon Slayers to circumvent. Sanemi stated that if not for his years of experience in the field of demon hunting, he wouldn't have been able to defend himself from Kokushibo's attacks.

Wood Manipulation: Zohakuten's main Blood Demon Art grants him the ability to generate wood out of his flesh and blood and manipulate it by striking the drums at his back. Zohakuten mainly shapes the wood into massive snake-like dragon heads that can stretch up to twenty meters in length, though he can also create dragon heads within the main dragon heads in order to increase its length and reach. Using Countless Striking Trees (Muken Gōju), Zohakuten can create a lot more wooden dragons to attack his targets. The dragons attack by biting them with their massive jaws or trapping them inside its mouth to be crushed. The wood he creates is extremely durable, being impervious to sword slashes from a demon-enhanced Genya Shinazugawa. Zohakuten's dragons have incredible maneuverability, and their numbers make them even more deadly to deal with. As these wooden dragons are made from his flesh and blood, they can regenerate quickly if they are damaged.
Zohakuten and his wooden dragons can use the Blood Demon Arts of Sekido, Karaku, Aizetsu, and Urogi. Moreover, Zohakuten can use them at a much higher level than the four clones. Zohakuten and his wooden dragons can emit electricity in the form of lightning bolts, unleash powerful wind blasts that leave craters in the ground, project spear-like attacks out of thin air, and generate deafening sound waves that can momentarily knock out Mitsuri Kanroji, a Hashira.

Infinity Castle Manipulation: Nakime's Blood Demon Art takes the form of an extra-dimensional space that houses a fortress of immense scale. As its owner, Nakime possesses absolute dominion over the space, being able to manipulate and alter it at will by simply strumming her biwa. In her fortress, there are countless rooms with seemingly endless variety, like an open room filled with giant pillars where the fight against Kokushibo took place; a small garden where the fight against Doma took place; a corridor leading to several other rooms where the fight against Akaza took place. Nakime sits at the center of the Infinity Castle, with the entire space being distorted around her.
Nakime has also displayed the ability to use her unorthodox Blood Demon Art for offensive purposes. She achieves this by shaping rooms into gigantic pillars and ramming it into her enemies to crush them. By binding and rooting her hair to a nearby wall inside the castle, she could control the castle's positioning as she likes: shifting and changing the positioning of various rooms and walls as if they were her own limbs. However, doing so presumably renders her immobile.
Portal Creation: Nakime can also spawn portals to transport people outside her fortress or to anywhere within it in the form of tatami sliding doors. She can use her portals for offensive and defensive purposes as well, displayed when she created a portal to negate Mitsuri Kanroji's attack. One of her main duties was to act as a mode of transport for the other Upper Ranks when they are sent on missions and presumably assist Muzan in moving around the country undetected.

Gyokko's Blood Demon Art revolved around his porcelain vases. He was able to spawn them anywhere within his vicinity and create multiple pots of varying sizes at once. Gyokko first displayed the ability to freely teleport from one pot to another instantaneously, offsetting his lack of legs and allowing him to travel far distances with minimal effort as well as to evade attacks easily. Gyokko could also trap objects (such as people) inside his pots. If the object he wishes to seal is too big, the pots can simply compress them to fit inside. The pots also seem to give Gyokko liberty of whatever was inside, which he uses to merge the swordsmiths together in impossible ways and allows him to create whatever he pleases inside them.

Furthermore, his blood sickles were coated in deadly poison.

In combat, Daki used her obi sashes as powerful and fast tendril-like whips to unleash long-ranged interweaving attacks while also being able to use it to form a shield around her body if need be, making her Blood Demon Art an extremely effective blend of offense and defense. Her sashes were so powerful that they could repel and block attacks from Tengen's explosives and slice up buildings with ease. Furthermore, they are especially difficult to cut because of their soft properties, and can further loosen the effectiveness of slash attacks by bending and weaving.

Complementing his Breathing Style, Thunder Breathing, Kaigaku's Blood Demon Art grants him special electrokinetic abilities which allow him to generate and manipulate black colored lightning and electricity from his flesh and blood. This lightning-like Blood Demon Art creates a special effect which cracks and rends his target's flesh while burning it, greatly augmenting the lethality and offensive capability of his attacks. The bleeding caused by Kaigaku's sword effect nearly destroyed Zenitsu's eyeballs and left him severely injured after the fight.
Kaigaku uses this Blood Demon Art to great effect, utilizing lightning in conjunction with his Thunder Breathing techniques to enhance his attack range and speed, which even Zenitsu had trouble keeping up with. It is implied that this Blood Demon Art helped make up for Kaigaku's own inability to perform the most fundamental technique of the Thunder Breathing style, Thunderclap and Flash.

Enmu's Blood Demon Art granted him the ability to force anyone into a deep sleep. He can do this through different means, some more subtle than others, but all effectively leaving his foes vulnerable and unable to fight. The slumber induced was very potent and it took considerable effort to wake the victim up, as seen when Nezuko headbutted Tanjiro quite hard but failed to awaken him. However, his state of sleep was not perfect, as Enmu carefully preferred to stay away from Demon Slayers out of fear that his bloodlust could awaken them, although he was far less cautious against normal human targets.
Enmu's Blood Demon Art's secondary ability was his power to enter, manipulate and control someone's dreams when they are asleep. When using his technique, his victims experienced joyous dreams normally suited to each person, taking advantage of their vulnerabilities and ensuring they are unable to tell the difference from reality, thus rapidly seducing them to embrace the utopian visions that lay before them. This level of vulnerability made it far easier for Enmu to manipulate his prey, bribing people to do his bidding by giving them happy dreams, which also doubled as a means to perpetuate his own sadistic practices. Just like he can bestow dreams, Enmu was equally capable of forcing nightmares, which he uses both as a psychological attack and a means of torture, something he was particularly fond of when preying on humans. But similarly to his ability to induce sleep, Enmu's dreams, while extremely potent, were not perfect, as one can be capable of resisting its effects through sufficient willpower, which allowed an affected person to realize they are in fact living an illusion. However, realizing they are in a dream is not enough to end the induced sleep, as Tanjiro was only able to force himself out of his induced slumber by committing suicide inside his dream, something he was forced to do repeatedly during his battle with the Lower Rank, doing so instantly every time he was forced to sleep.

Hairo's Blood Demon Art allows him to create and manipulate shadows with special properties and characteristics from his flesh and blood. His shadows have unique shapes and designs on them, ranging from white triangular patterns to eyes. These shadows contain a suction effect with not only absorbs damage from physical attacks, but also makes it extremely difficult to escape when in contact with them. Furthermore, the shadows also have a special property that seemingly gives even a dimensional pocket to store countless items and he can conjure these items from anywhere his shadows occupy. Hairo usually opts to shape his shadows into wolf-like creatures to increase his attack potency and striking range. Otherwise, he would turn parts of his body into his Blood Demon Art to nullify attacks and trap his enemies.
Artillery Manipulation: Hairo's shadows contain a countless number of weapons, ranging from pistols to bolt-rifles to shotguns and sub-machine guns, even containing a rotatory mini-gun, molotov cocktails, dynamite and other explosives, and also a large katana. He can command these to fire at will, whether it be from his own body or from shadows he has sent out in the environment as traps, or even from the shadow wolves he creates. However, these guns are real and not mystical, having a significant but limited amount of ammunition. Thus if he runs out of bullets, the guns become useless.

Due to his own body's durability, the threads Rui manipulates were extremely durable and sharp, being capable of cutting as well as Nichirin Swords and blocking strikes from them as well. Rui can further amplify their strength and durability by infusing his blood through them, giving them a blood red color.
Rui displayed terrifying proficiency in utilizing his threads for combat purposes, making use of the environment to spawn a barrage of slashing attacks or manifest unavoidable web techniques to trap and slice his opponents into pieces.

Puppetry: Mother could create and manifest threads from the tips of her fingers that can extend to cover an entire mountain. She used her threads in a unique manner; by utilizing them to manipulate bodies like puppets. She achieved this by attaching her strings to her intended victims using small spiders, allowing her to control them from a remote distance. She could even use these strings to somehow bring out the full physical power of her controlled puppet to its maximum, albeit at the cost of putting her puppets through severe physical pain due to it. This ability also allowed her to control the corpses of demons, as she even acquired and preserved the dead body of a demon and prevented it from disintegrating to ash for use in combat. The closer the strings connected to her are, the more power she can exert over the puppets she manipulates.
Spider Manipulation: Mother could create and command small white spiders with red dot like design similar to the physical traits of herself and her "family" to stealthily attach her threads to her intended victims without them noticing. These spiders also have similar traits to demons, as they burn up upon getting stabbed/sliced by a Nichirin Sword.

The process of the transformation itself requires at least 30 minutes for the victim to be completely transformed. Once the poison is administered, the victim will begin to feel tingling and pain in their limbs. Secondly, they will start feeling dizzy and nauseous. Finally, their bodies will shrink and they will black out, When awaken they are transformed into a spider hybrid. However, Shinobu Kocho was able to restore his transformed victims back into their human forms through her extensive medical knowledge and monthly doses of an antidote.

The Swamp Demon can put this swamp to his advantage by attacking targets using his great swimming ability.
