The Chymlaxi are humanoid aliens, with 4 fingers and a thumb on each hand, 2 large toes on each foot, a tail with a bioluminescent orb at the end, and another similar "limb" protruding from the back of their head. These are used to illuminate the dark, murky waters of their planet, allowing them to see fish underwater, and attract prey. They also have similar bioluminescent patches on their shoulders - which vary in colour from Orange, Yellow, Red, Green, Teal and in rare cases, White These areas illuminate further when the subject feels a heightened emotional response, be it pain, fear, love, sadness, or sex. The horn structure of this species is an evolutionary trait they developed over many years, similar to the "Nubian Ibex" Earth creature. Both sexes have horns, with the males having horns nearly twice the size and density of the females. The skin tone of the Chymlaxi can vary from Green, brown, orange, grey, Teal, red and in rare mutation cases, almost Black. Because of their chameleonic attributes, their skin pigment can change slowly to adapt to the environment, acting like a camouflage. With future technologies and cybernetic implants amplifying this natural ability, those in modern society almost have access to rapid, full body camouflage. Much like their amphibious counterparts, they can survive both above and below water. Due to their affinity to both water and land, Chymlaxi live in primitive wood and plant based structures, built above and below the planets swampy terrain, connected to each other by vines, subterranean tunnels, and walkways. Chymlaxi technology is not very advanced, similar to a tribal culture of spear-wielding hunters, though with a government and citizenship system. One of the first Intergalactic civilizations to be discovered by humans, the Chymlaxi have integrated themselves into human society very well. With backgrounds and a culture that values hard work, and sustaining oneself from the land, they are welcomed into most manual labour businesses and professions. Of course, there are still humans who are strongly against any form of Alien life being part of theirs.
