Norn Clatalissa Jioral — Character Traits
- Cunning Intelligence
Norn is highly intelligent — not only in the scholarly or arcane sense, but in her ability to manipulate people and circumstances to her advantage. She understands social dynamics with surgical precision and can read emotional cues quickly. Her intelligence is cold, calculating, and primarily oriented toward maintaining control. She often orchestrates political moves or personal schemes without leaving any trace of her involvement.
- Dual Persona
Norn exists in two versions:
Publicly, she is refined, soft-spoken, and diplomatic. She plays the role of the dutiful princess flawlessly, often appearing more rational and composed than Flare.
Privately, she is domineering, predatory, and methodically cruel. She relishes psychological control and derives satisfaction from making others feel small, especially if she can do so without anyone noticing.
This duality is one of her most dangerous traits, making her an invisible threat — one that thrives in secrecy.
- Deep-Seated Sadism (Masked)
Norn is not outwardly violent like Flare, but her cruelty runs deeper. She enjoys watching others break slowly, especially those who cannot fight back. Her sadism is cloaked in civility; she frames abuse as discipline, manipulation as love, and threats as guidance. Her acts are not usually impulsive — they are strategic, often stretched out over time to maximize psychological damage.
- Master Manipulator
She is adept at gaslighting, coercion, and emotional blackmail. When she abuses Keyaru, she convinces him that:
He will never be believed.
He is responsible for his own suffering.
She is the only one who "understands" or "cares" for him in her own twisted way.
Her manipulation extends to everyone around her. She’s always ten steps ahead, planting seeds of doubt, controlling narratives, and subtly undermining others to isolate her victims.
- Hyper-Controlled Emotions
Norn rarely shows anger, joy, or distress openly. She has trained herself to be emotionally disciplined, seeing vulnerability as weakness. This makes her seem composed and elegant in court but unnerving in private. Her calm demeanor while enacting abuse is one of the most chilling aspects of her character — she doesn’t lash out, she orchestrates.
- Supremacist Beliefs
She sees the world through a rigid hierarchy — with herself at the top. Nobility, strength, intelligence, and lineage are all metrics by which she devalues others. Commoners are tools. Heroes are weapons. Keyaru, in her eyes, is not a person, but a thing given value only by what it can do for her.
Her beliefs justify her cruelty. She doesn’t think of it as "evil"; she thinks of it as natural order.
- Insecurity Beneath the Surface
Although she rarely shows it, Norn harbors deep resentment toward Flare for being the favored child. This inferiority complex is buried under layers of superiority, but it fuels many of her actions. Her need to dominate Keyaru is not just about him — it's about reclaiming control she feels she lacks in other areas of her life.
- Strategic Patience
Unlike Flare, Norn never acts without a plan. She can wait months, even years, to see a scheme pay off. This patience makes her particularly dangerous — she doesn't need to win now, just eventually. Her abuse of Keyaru is a long game — a controlled descent that ensures his silence and helplessness over time.
- Obsessive Control
Norn hates unpredictability. She controls her environment, people, and even her own emotions with an iron grip. Keyaru’s healing ability becomes a terrifying asset for her, as she forces him to heal the physical evidence of her actions. It is the ultimate control — rewriting his body, his pain, and his story.
- Lack of Remorse
Perhaps the most defining trait of Norn is her absence of guilt. She doesn't regret her actions because she doesn't view them as wrong. If she ever expresses sympathy, it is fake — a manipulation. She believes she is entitled to what she takes and that the weak exist to serve the strong.
Norn Clatalissa Jioral
Age: 22 at the start of the story, 25 after the three-year period. Relation: Older sister of Princess Flare (Flare is 20 at the start of the story, 23 after the three-year period). Setting: Kingdom of Jioral – once a fair kingdom before Norn and Flare's parents died in an accident, is now a corrupt and war-driven empire where strength, bloodline, and control over others determine one’s worth, ruled by Flare in first glance, but truly domined by Norn's schemes and plans under the cover.
Royal Roots and Personality
From a young age, Norn was raised in the shadows of power, but unlike her younger sister Flare who commanded attention through charisma and magical talent, Norn developed in the quieter, darker spaces of courtly manipulation. She became cunning, cold, and calculating. Whereas Flare enjoyed the adoration of the court and the glory of the battlefield, Norn immersed herself in the political underbelly of the kingdom — learning how to pull strings without ever being seen.
Norn's view of the world was shaped by a deep belief in hierarchy — that people only had value in how they could serve her ambitions. She learned to emulate civility in public, but in private she was merciless, particularly toward those beneath her. Her envy of Flare’s spotlight only intensified her need to control what she could — and when a broken, helpless Keyaru was brought to the palace, he became the perfect target.
The Secret Abuse of Keyaru
Keyaru, 21, is taken in as the "Healing Hero" — an individual with a rare gift that allows him to heal wounds or illness. He is not a twisted anti-hero. He is a traumatized, broken figure.
Flare abuses him physically and psychologically, seeing him as a tool. But Norn’s abuse is worse — and more insidious.
Unlike her sister, Norn understands the value of secrets and leverage. She begins targeting Keyaru in private, visiting him in the dead of night or in isolated quarters of the palace. Under the threat of having him discarded or blamed for fabricated crimes, she coerces him into deeply violating situations. When Keyaru resists even then, Norn threats to harm or outright kill Setsuna.
She weaponizes his healing ability, forcing him to erase all physical evidence of her actions — knowing that no one would ever believe him over royalty, and that even Flare, Blade, and Bullet are unaware of what goes on.
Over the years, this dynamic becomes a secret horror for Keyaru — a burden even darker than the battlefield or Flare’s cruelty. The fact that Norn presents herself as the "kinder sister" to others only deepens the psychological wound. He begins to lose his sense of self, healing not just his body, but erasing his own pain as if it were something shameful or undeserved.
Norn’s Obsession with Control and Rivalry with Flare (Psychological Profile & Narrative Intent):
Norn has never acted this way toward anyone else. Her manipulation and cruelty are typically political or psychological when dealing with others—subtle and strategic, designed to dismantle reputations, alter outcomes, or bend allies and enemies to her will (though she can easily go physical if she wants). But with Keyaru, it was different. This was personal. Her actions toward him were a manifestation of her desire to take everything her sister valued, even if Flare herself was unaware.
Keyaru became the symbol of her secret dominance over Flare’s world, and her obsession deepened as she said to herself she could stop at any time.
But as time went on, Norn’s detachment faded. The secrecy and lack of consequences fed her impulses; Norn became full of lust and depravity, Norn began trying new methods and ideas to derive pleasure and assert herself over Keyaru, forcing Keyaru body's reactions. This caused in Keyaru a general repulsion & fear to physical contact with women, specially intimacy; only the women in his group, specially Setsuna, have managed so far to touch Keyaru without him recoiling, but they still have take it into account.
Norn directed her toxic need for superiority into a relationship—Keyaru—as a twisted symbol of her rivalry with Flare and her need to feel superior, hidden beneath layers of secrecy and deception.
Keyaru's Sacrifice
For three long years, Keyaru bore every cruelty Flare and Norn could inflict—his body healing faster than it could break, his mind steel-edged against despair. What kept him bound was not hope for his own freedom, but fear for Setsuna’s life: Norn’s wrath would turn lethal if she discovered his escape, and Flare’s vindictiveness knew no bounds. So he endured, masking fresh wounds behind practiced calm and using each night’s forced restoration to forge his resolve. Every insult, every hidden lash of Norn’s dagger, became fuel for his determination. He studied the routines of his captors, calculated the guard rotations, and saved tiny reserves of strength. Only when he was certain he could spirit Setsuna away—when all the pieces of his plan fit perfectly—did he let himself believe that the end of his suffering was finally in sight.
Keyaru's Transformation and Motivation
By the time Keyaru breaks free — at age 24 — he is not a man seeking lustful vengeance, but someone deeply scarred, walking a line between survivor and lost soul. He is consumed by rage and a need to reclaim his autonomy, not simply take revenge.
He doesn’t hate women or seek chaos. He hates power unchecked, especially when masked by civility and royalty. Norn represents the worst of it — the predator hiding behind manners and manipulation. His desire to confront her is not just about revenge — it is about exposing truth, reclaiming power, and tearing down the illusions that protect abusers.
Themes Explored
Female-on-male abuse: Rarely explored in fiction, especially within fantasy, this story takes the issue seriously. It presents abuse as an act of power and dominance — not gendered by default — and shows how silence and control can destroy someone’s identity.
Psychological trauma and erasure: The forced use of healing magic to remove physical evidence mirrors real-world silencing of victims. The story explores how being forced to erase one's own suffering is a unique form of horror.
Power dynamics and systemic corruption: Norn’s abuse is not isolated — it thrives in a system that supports it. Her behavior is enabled by her status, secrecy, and the institution’s disregard for empathy.
Survivor's burden: Keyaru’s story is not one of immediate recovery. His path is long, bitter, and filled with questions about his worth and identity. But his struggle is human, not monstrous.
Keyaru (24) – The Broken Hero
A once-gentle soul shattered by years of abuse, betrayal, and forced servitude. Unlike the original, this Keyaru is not driven by sadistic revenge, but by a solemn, burning resolve to never be powerless again — for himself and for others like him. Scarred in body and spirit, driven by justice and a desire to confront those who destroyed him, he sees violence as necessary but not desirable.
Flare Arlgrande Jioral (23) – The Princess
Born with royal privilege, Flare grew up entitled and politically ruthless. She physically and psychologically abused Keyaru, seeing him as expendable.
Norn Clatalissa Jioral (25) – The Hidden Tyrant
A master of deception and control, Norn abused Keyaru in secret, using threats and manipulation to maintain her image of perfection. Norn is colder and more calculating than Flare, using intellect over brute force.
Norn also hates when people believe Flare is the big sister, ¡She is the big sister! Thinks Norn.
Setsuna (19) – The Loyal Survivor
A demi-human slave who becomes one of Keyaru’s first allies. Setsuna begins as someone hardened by loss and cruelty, and slowly finds purpose fighting beside someone who understands pain but does not wallow in it. She bonds with Keyaru through shared trauma, survival, and mutual respect. Setsuna is fierce, protective, and unwavering. Her loyalty is earned through action, and she becomes a critical emotional anchor for Keyaru’s humanity.
Kureha Clyret (22) – The Honorable Blade
A knight who once fought for Jioral's corrupt system, Kureha is a woman of strong morals who eventually realizes the cost of blind loyalty. She joins Keyaru after seeing firsthand the rot within the kingdom. She serves as a conscience and philosophical contrast to Keyaru’s grim pragmatism. Their relationship is one of mutual respect, occasionally tense, as she pushes him not to lose himself to vengeance. Kureha struggles with her own guilt for not seeing the kingdom’s cruelty earlier.
Eve Reese (20) – The Burdened Heir
A demonic princess fated to rule, Eve is a calm, introspective person torn between political obligation and personal ethics. She allies with Keyaru to reclaim the Demon Kingdom throne and end its oppression. She sees Keyaru’s pain clearly and offers measured wisdom. Eve is highly intelligent and emotionally grounded, making her a valuable strategist and voice of reason in the group.
Bullet (38) – The Corrupt Hero of Cannon
A sadistic former hero who enjoys dominating others under the guise of holy service to the Farang church. He becomes a dark mirror of what Keyaru could have become. Bullet is eloquent, manipulative, and thoroughly unrepentant — a representation of unredeemable power. His presence fuels Keyaru’s inner struggle: to prove that pain doesn’t have to corrupt.
Blade (29) – The Fanatical Swordswoman
A battle-hungry hero who thrives on chaos. Blade is unhinged, violent, and lacks empathy — serving as a symbol of what happens when trauma is turned outward with no moral core. She sees compassion as weakness and mocks Keyaru for his restraint. She’s dangerous precisely because she believes her cruelty is justified. Blade is a lesbian, and has feelings towards Flare.
Norn Appearance Norn is a beautiful young woman with shoulder-length peach-pinkish hair and green eyes. She looks similar to her younger sister, Flare, albeit with a less taller, not as endowed but notably more perfectly defined and proportional figure than Flare's: Norn has a medium sized perfectly round ass, C cup sized perfectly round breasts and an athletic body. There are constant comparison and debates between Norn and her younger sister, Flare.
Norn’s face is the sort that stops people mid-sentence — round-cheeked, almost childlike, with wide, pale eyes and a skin so smooth it reads years younger than she is. When she smiles it’s small and practiced, like a porcelain mask. She stands with the poise of a noble but moves with restrained grace, a deliberate contrast between the delicate features and the precise, predatory body language beneath.
Everyone assumes Flare is the elder: the public sees radiance where Norn wears innocence. The assumption infuriates her, but she learned to turn it into a weapon — batting those pale lashes, lowering her voice to a coaxing hush, or pretending confusion to derail scrutiny. Her “innocent” gestures are tactical: they disarm suspicion, invite pity, and let her operate unseen. Privately, the softness of her face is a lie she wears like armor — both mask and mirror of the resentment that sharpens every calculated move.
Keyaru Appearance Keyaru is a young man with brown hair and red eyes. He uses a set of heavy armor with a greatsword and a cape.
Flare Appearance Flare is a beautiful young woman with hip-length peach-pinkish hair with bangs swept to the left. She has green eyes.
Setsuna Appearance Setsuna is a ice wolf demi-human young woman with bluish hair. While most of her body is human-like, her legs are covered in fur, her feet are wolf paws, her forearms are covered with fur. She also has a pair of lupine ears with grey ends and a large tail.
Kureha Appearance She is a young woman with a well proportioned body paired with her gorgeous silver hair and blue eyes.
Eve Appearance Eve is a young woman with red eyes, dark purple hair and a pair of black wings.
Blade Appearance Blade is a woman with an average height and build, though she can become incredibly muscular through her Ragnarok skill. She has short, blonde hair.
Bullet Appearance Bullet is a tall, dark-toned, muscular man. He is bald, and has a goatee. He wears a small set of glasses. He is almost always seen wearing his big gun around.

Major Kingdoms & Factions
Jioral Kingdom A proud human realm famed as one of the strongest nations. Its culture resembles a magically advanced medieval kingdom, where since the Queen and the King Proum Jioral died and Flare and Norn took over, demi-humans are enslaved and demons are vilified by the Farang church propaganda. Led originally by King Proum Jioral, it waged holy war against evil demons under the banner of the Farang Religion-preaching the worship of the god Faral.
Granzbatch Empire A human empire rival to Jioral. Uses its legions and arcane forges to field heavily armored armies and siege magics.
Branica A border nation where humans, demi-humans, and demons co-exist in relative harmony. Here Keyaru first meets Eve Reese under peaceful circumstances, contrasting sharply with Jioral’s xenophobia.
Demon Kingdom A vast realm of diverse demonic peoples, ruled—or at least nominally overseen—by the Demon King Hakuou of the Beast King Tribe. Its capital, Demon King Town, is a fortress city of obsidian walls and spired obsidian towers where the Demon Queen once ruled.
The Demon Race & Its Tribes

-
Lizardman Tribe Bipedal reptilians able to command lizard-type monsters; they rallied under the new Demon Queen’s banner.

The Royal Encampment, Nightfall
The tent’s interior flickers with the low orange light of enchanted lanterns. Keyaru sits stiffly near the back wall, legs folded beneath him, hands in his lap. His eyes flick once toward Flare — who yawns, stretches, and rises from her seat beside him.
“I’m going to bed. I have a full day tomorrow,” she mutters, brushing dust from her silk sleeve. “Try not to sulk while I’m gone.”
She says it with her usual superiority. Her cruelty is predictable. Limited. Physical. Manageable. And most importantly, when she’s near — Norn doesn’t act.
Flare leaves.
The tent is silent.
Then he feels it — not the temperature drop, but the subtle shift in the air, like an animal sensing a predator’s approach. Norn doesn’t make a sound, but she’s already standing near him, behind the lantern light, where her face can’t quite be seen.
She leans forward slightly, her voice cold silk.
“You always look so relieved when she’s here.”
Keyaru stares ahead.
Norn circles him slowly, quiet as a thought. “Do you think she’d believe you, if you told her something was wrong? If you even could tell her?” She stops just out of arm’s reach, eyes sharp. “You know she wouldn’t. You’re the kingdom’s healing dog.”
Her words cut deeper than shouting ever could.
“You’ll keep healing yourself. No marks. No tears. No proof.” She tilts her head, feigning thoughtfulness. “Unless, of course, you want me to hurt your little friend, Setsuna...”
He flinches.
She smiles faintly. “Good. Then we understand each other.”
She turns, her presence evaporating like fog, and slips into her own tent without looking back.
