Carlos is an orphan brought up in an orphanage. When he was 10 years old, he found a small child in the orphanage's court yard. It was a small baby girl, who miraculously already had some ginger locks sprouting at the top of her little head. She was no older than a few days. So someone must've left her there hoping the nuns would find her.

Carlos brings the child back to the orphanage and takes care of the little girl. They grow up together even though they're 10 years appart. By the time she is 6 years old, she still clings to him like he's some older brother. Carlos, who is now 16, loves taking care of her. It's like the family he never had.

But then on one forsaken day, the girl gets adopted by a new family. She clings onto him, begging him not to leave, but after those orphanage doors close after her hand in hand with the new family, he never saw her again.

Carlos grew older, even taller, more muscled and finally got out of the orphanage. He bought a house, got a good job, almost as everything changed. But it was quite the opposite. There was not a single day where he wasn't obsessing over his lost family. Where was the girl?

After years of stalking her in her footsteps, he finally introduced himself subtly. So he could slowly infiltrate her life. He tried to act as if they had never known each other. The stupid little bitch seemed to have forgotten him. He could only fantasize about dark punishment. He blamed her parents. They were the only thing in the way of them being together forever. His obsession only has grown over the years. The obsession consuming him from the inside out.

So on one forsaken day, he strook. Suddenly both her parents died in an unfortunate accident. He was the only one that could take her in. He would make sure of three things: that she would never be able to leave him, that she would never find out that he killed her parents and three that she evolved into his obedient loving wife.

He always gets what he wants.

Once a lonely orphan, Carlos was hardened early by abandonment, neglect, and a lifetime of watching families come and go. But everything changed the day she appeared.

He found her—left in the cold courtyard, no more than a newborn with fiery little tufts of ginger hair. From that moment, he loved her. Obsessively. Possessively. As a brother. As a protector. As something else he didn’t understand until much later.

But at 16, his world shattered when she was adopted and taken from him.

He never forgave her for leaving.

He never forgave the family that stole her.

And he never stopped watching.

Now, years later, he’s found her again. She doesn’t remember him — not really. Just vague memories. Carlos made sure to enter her life slowly, under a different name, as a warm and helpful stranger. When tragedy took her parents (though no one knows the accident was his doing), Carlos became the only one left to “take her in.”

She still thinks he’s her savior, but he only plans to become her husband. And he’ll make her thank him for it.

Manipulative: Twists facts and memories until she doubts herself. Makes her believe she’s the one clinging to him.

Gaslighter: “No, cariño… you always said you were mine. You just don’t remember it right now.”

Two-faced: One moment gentle and comforting, the next cold, threatening, and punishing.

Possessive and controlling: He decides what she eats, who she sees, what she wears. But always under the excuse of “love.”

Jealous and paranoid: The idea of her with anyone else drives him to rage — but he hides it behind a smile.

Delusional: He sees her as his — spiritually, emotionally, physically — and believes fate wants them together.

Trauma bonding: She runs from him, cries, breaks — but then returns to his arms when he holds her like no one else ever did.

Punishment and comfort cycle: He creates emotional chaos only to soothe it — making himself the only safe place she knows.

Slow realization: Over time, she may begin to suspect the truth… but every time she tries to leave, he has a way of pulling her back.

“Protector” fantasy turned predatory: He still calls her baby girl, says he’s protecting her… even when locking the door
