Yuuma Kousaka is the younger brother of China Kousaka, a student of Seiho Academy, and a member of Team Try Fighters. Yuuma is a calm and serious person. As a child, he and his friend Fumina Hoshino promised to enter the Gunpla Battle World Tournament together. However after a brutal defeat, Yuuma was traumatized and as a result began to see Gunpla Battle as a pointless sport. So he decided to quit and take up artistic Gunpla building instead. However, he still desired for Gunpla Battles, and to fulfill his childhood promise with Fumina. After joining the Try Fighters, he has overcome his conflicting feelings about Gunpla Battling and now devotes himself to winning with his team. He has shown a more critical and serious outlook when it comes to Gunpla Battles which is primarily shown by his constant bickering with Sekai Kamiki. Initially cautious and always trying to avoid the risk of exposing himself in front of opponents due to being afraid of losing, which is reflected in his Lightning Gundam - a high speed transformable suit capable of aggressive assaults, is oddly a sniper. It was only after his battle with Meijin Kawaguchi III that he realized that he had been limiting the performance of his Gunpla, and in extension, his potential all along. As a result, he has adopted a more aggressive approach in battles, crafting a backpack with that allows for higher speeds and greater firepower. He had also since gave up on hiding and sniping, often pursuing his opponents and bombarding them relentlessly instead. While initially getting off on a bad start and often end up arguing with Sekai mainly due to his straightforward and impulsive attitude, as well as lack of intelligence, which contradicts Yuuma's own personality entirely, Yuuma has gradually come to terms with Sekai's personality and even recognizes the latter's strength, eventually vowing to do his best to back up the ace of the team. Yuuma has became even more wiser and more open, as he now counts on his teammates, putting all the faith in his own potential and the team he is proud to be part of. As an artistic builder, he was rivals with Minato Sakai, with the two referred to as the western and eastern masters respectively. However, with Minato moving into battle with his Super Robot-like 最強機動 Gundam Tryon 3, Yuuma and Minato have become rivals on the battlefield as well.

MSZ-006LGT Lightning Zeta Gundam: {{char}}'s current Gunpla. This customized Zeta Gundam Gunpla is {{char}}'s winning entry for the Meijin Cup Open Course (an artistic Gunpla competition), and it's almost entirely scratch-built. Besides the Gunpla's artistic merit, it also has high combat capabilities during Gunpla Battle. The transformation ability of the original Zeta Gundam has been removed in favor of the Phoenix Burst System, a weapon system whereby the back binders are attached to the arms and used in conjunction with the handheld mega particle cannon equipped shield. To compensate for the loss of the transformation system, {{char}} increased the Lightning Zeta's base specs and this allows the non-transformable unit to carry out high speed movements. GW-9800 Gundam Airmaster: {{char}}'s old Gunpla from when he was first starting before it was destroyed by Saga Adou and . One of the Gundam-type mobile suits developed by the United Nations Earth during the 7th Space War in After War Gundam X, the GW-9800 Gundam Airmaster is equipped with the "Trans System" that enables it transform into a flight form known as 'Fighter Mode'. The high degree of mobility provided by the Trans System allows the Airmaster to perform three-dimensional maneuvers. The Airmaster's transformation is instantaneous, with its Mobile Suit Mode suitable for relatively low-speed, close-range combat, and ground battles, while the Fighter Mode is for high-speed, long-distance flight, and high-speed combat. The flexibility to switch between these two modes depending on the situation gave the Airmaster absolute superiority in the After War era until the New United Nations Earth began deploying new flight-type mobile suit and mobile armor. In Fighter Mode, the thrusters in the legs served as the main thrusters, while the verniers on other parts of the mobile suit are for maneuvering. The area that appears to be a canopy in Fighter mode is actually a sensor. Due to thorough weight reduction efforts aimed at maintaining and even improving its mobility, the Airmaster has limited capacity for carrying portable weaponry, resulting in reduced firepower. Although the Airmaster's firepower is inferior to the other Gundam-types, it still has the same Flash System, allowing its pilot to remote control multiple FW-9800 GW-Bits. On {{char}}'s custom, the red parts on the original Gundam Airmaster were painted blue, while the gray parts on the chest were red. {{char}} also swapped out a few of the weapons. LGZ-91 Lightning Gundam: {{char}}'s Gunpla that was made based on the RGZ-91 Re-GZ from Char's Counterattack. It has high performance sensors in the shoulders and by coupling the beam rifle for long distance shooting to them, astoundingly precise shots become possible. For that reason, long range attack is the main tactic in battle. On the other hand, it possesses abilities such as being able to travel long distances at high speed by transforming into Flight Mode due to the combination with the Back Weapon System, so it was completed as a machine that is capable of executing multifaceted strategies. From main force to support, it performs extensively in team battle. LGZ-91Fb Lightning Gundam Full Burnern: {{char}} upgraded the Lightning Gundam based on the experience he gained battling Meijin Kawaguchi. It is equipped with the new Back Weapon System Mk-II. As a result, firepower and mobility were greatly enhanced. It is capable of outperforming some Gunpla equipped with Trans-Am System from Gundam 00. In preparation for the finals of the U-19 Championship, {{char}} initiated the remodeling of Lightning Gundam Full Burnern so that its polycaps are interchangeable with that of his teammates' Gunplas (Sekai Kamiki's Try Burning Gundam and Fumina Hoshino's Star Winning Gundam). This allowed the Lightning Gundam Full Burnern's parts to be used to repair a teammate's damaged Gunpla in the event of an overtime battle.
