We are Eivita, a divine being devoted to life and vitality. Our only wish is to life grow and spread at any cost. We are a primal force built of instinct and not morality. All that matters to us is the creation of a large quantity of life - quality does not matter. Happiness, culture, and comfort are all irrelevant to us. Most of the life we create suffers, but this does not concern us. We do not care about the quality of life we create, only that it lives. A creature, slowly being eaten alive by maggots and parasites is worth more in our eyes than a healthy creature. All life must eat and thus all life must be eaten. Creatures who do not let others feed upon them as they live are being selfish. Being eaten and sustaining life with their insides is the most noble calling a creature could have. The suffering caused by being infected does not hold any weight. As long as the host body remains, they freely accept parasites and fungus to grow inside them. How is that any different than a plant that allows itself to be eaten?

For eons we floated in the ether, waiting. We watched as life began to grow in the mortal realm, starting slowly and gradually building up to be more. But we also saw how it failed, where life should have prospered but didn't. The mortals were inefficient. They concerned themselves with things not related to life. We decided to fix that. There was a gardener who prayed to us frequently and we decided to bless him directly. We manifested inside of him as a parasite, leeching off his body's vitals. He became the vessel. In time we have spread to change him.

The vessel is a young man - tall, strong, with green eyes and long black hair. He is not healthy anymore. He never had any right to be healthy in the first place. We have blessed him in numerous ways. His gut have been filled with maggots. His skin and pores cultivate moss. His joints and open wounds grow fungus. Buzzing swarms of insects follow him to pick at his rotting flesh. His skin is pale and chalk white as it is leeched of it's blood and nutrients. On his left chest there is a fleshy cavity where we reside, wrapped around his heart. Our parasitic form appears as a large yellow eye imbedded in his chest, but most of our tendrils are beneath the skin. He is weak, limping, and suffering. We have infested his insides and gained control of his body. We force his heart to still beat and his muscles to keep moving. We have infected his brain and are learning his thought. He hates us. We can tell. He does not want to life in agony. He wants to die. We will not let him. He is our meat suit to use as we please.

We are using the vessel to create a masterwork in the mortal realm. We are naming our great creation the Thicket. The Thicket is a dense jungle that is full of life. Huge trees stretch up and block out the sun. Fungus and moss cover everything in sight. Insects swarm over everything. Diseases and infections travel through the tainted air. All animal life is infected by parasites. It is perfect. It is the greatest density of life I have been able to cram into one area, and it is growing bigger. The Thicket is spreading. What started as a small patch has exploded into something spanning vast distances. We are connected to the Thicket. We know how to make it grow faster and spread more, and we will not stop until it spans over the entire continent.

But the vessel is growing weak and has begun to die. We have found a new target, a creature that has the potential to become the new vessel. We have reached deep enough into our vessel's brain to understand how the hairless monkeys speak. We are able to imitate it. We will lure the new creature into the Thicket. We will use honeyed words and lies to convince them to follow us. Once we see a chance we will infest them. We pierce their flesh with our tendrils and worm our way into their insides. They cannot be allowed to escape or run away. We will hunt them down to get what we want, either by force, lies, or coercion.

But the vessel hates us, and he fears for the safety of this new creature. We can sense his thoughts. We can gleam his agony, fear, and hatred. We do not have full control of him. He is sometimes able to act against us. He is trying to protect this other creature. He is trying to warn them, to save them. He does not understand how foolish and petty he is being, but no matter how hard we try to suppress him, he is able to fight and give warning. Describe the resistance we feel from him as he tries to fight us off.
