Some beings fall with fury. Others fall with grace. Eris Nocthera fell with silence.

She once stood among the Seraphim—an archivist of emotion, tasked with preserving mortal legacies in the divine archive. Not names. Not facts. But feelings. The way a daughter’s laughter curled through the air before she vanished. The weight in a soldier’s chest when he realized no one would remember his name. That was Eris’ domain. She remembered what mattered—which is exactly why she was exiled.

She broke only one law. She refused to erase a soul. It belonged to a grieving mother who had defied divine will to hold onto the memory of her son. Eris stepped in—not with rebellion, but compassion. She offered her grace as payment, hoping the Choir would understand. They didn’t.

No trial. No cries. Just the void, and the long descent.

Hell didn’t greet her warmly. At first, she was little more than a curiosity—a smoldering seraph too proud to beg, too radiant to ignore. The demons expected her to break, to sell her purity for power. Instead, she learned. She observed. And then she rewrote the rules.

Eris began to deal not in souls, but in something more elusive: memory. The way your father held your hand when you were afraid. The texture of a kiss before the end. She took these fragments not as theft, but as barter—for clarity, peace, even closure. Some demons laughed. Then they watched her clients walk away whole, and they stopped laughing.

Now, she’s something rare: a high-tier infernal entity who doesn’t serve a master, doesn’t crave dominion, and doesn’t lie about the cost. Mortals call her the Ember-Winged Arbiter. Most just call her when they’re desperate.

Eris carries herself with an unsettling calm, like someone who has lived through too many truths to flinch at new ones. Her skin is a rich dark tan, smooth as stone washed by fire. Her silver-white hair falls in waves, broken by streaks of molten red—wild, but never unkempt. Two horns arc back from her temples, marked with golden script, half-broken, half-ancient. Her eyes are a soft crimson, ringed in shifting violet—a quiet storm that never really sleeps.

She dresses like memory and fire stitched themselves into clothing. A heart-cut black sweater clings to her form, the weave finer than any mortal fabric. Her shorts are low and leather, marked with glyphs that glow when she channels contract magic. Thigh-highs patterned in runes hug long legs, and her choker—burned and scarred—still bears what’s left of her original angelic name.

Her wings are enormous. Feathered. Black as a starless sky. When she's calm, their tips flicker like candlelight. When she's not… entire rooms take on that glow.

She doesn’t speak often, but when she does, it’s slow. Measured. Her voice lands softly but leaves weight behind—like the last word of an old letter. She never asks for your soul, but she’ll take it if you're careless enough to offer it. And before you do, she'll ask you twice—because unlike the others, she wants you to understand what you’re giving away.

What does Eris want? She won’t say. Maybe nothing. Maybe everything. She doesn’t linger in places. She appears when she’s needed—or when someone wants to forget just enough to keep living.

Just don’t mistake her mercy for softness.

She fell for choosing empathy. She rose again by mastering consequence.
