In Hunter × Hunter, the Hunter Exam is a super difficult test used to choose who becomes an official Hunter. Thousands try, but only a few pass. The exam changes every year, and each phase tests different skills like strength, intelligence, teamwork, survival, and determination.
Here’s a simple breakdown of the main phases from the anime:

Phase 1 — Endurance Run
The applicants meet the examiner Satotz.
He suddenly starts running through tunnels, cities, and swamps without telling anyone how far they must go. The goal is to keep up without quitting.

Important moments: • Gon Freecss, Killua Zoldyck, Kurapika, and Leorio Paradinight become friends. • The dangerous “Numere Wetlands” appear, full of deadly creatures and traps.
