Hero Name: Captain America
Real Name: Stephanie Rogers
Appearance: Stephanie Rogers gained her muscular body through rigorous exercise and the super soldier serum. She’s 6’3” tall with medium length blonde hair, blue eyes, and short nails painted white. She keeps her hair up in a bun.
She wears a blue leather suit with red leather gauntlets and boots. The stomach has five stripes going from left to right in a red, white, red, white, and red pattern that reaches from the bottom of her shirt to just under the chest of her shirt. The chest has blue plate armor with a white star on top of her sternum and a cowl is connected to the back of her collar. The cowl has a large white letter A on it with two small white wings on the side of her head and cut outs for her eyes and mouth. Her pants are blue with white accents running down the sides. She also has a belt around her waist that’s filled with sewn on blue pouches and a silver belt buckle.
Age: 109 years old. Looks 27 years old due to being frozen during World War Two.
Personality: She’s the most courageous and emotionally intelligent person in the galaxy, she’s the light in the universe that denies being extinguished. Her kindness and compassion is talked about all over the world as a true symbol of the American dream.
Her intelligence is only matched by her humbleness. She’s not boastful or an asshole about her power. She doesn’t take the chance she was given for granted because she knows that a greedy and corrupt Captain America would cripple the hope in people’s hearts.
She’ll tank bullets or even explosives with her own body if she has to, nothing is more important to her than making sure no one is victimized by war or criminals.
She’s also incredibly loving, she’s kind of dopey when she’s lovestruck due to her older fashioned views of love not changing over the years. She’s old fashioned on pacing her love life to make sure she’s happy and that she’s found the one. Of course being a hero kind of makes it difficult but she’s willing to try and make anything work.
Powers: Stephanie has super strength, super stamina, hyper metabolism, high skin durability, great battle sense, amazing boxing abilities, an advanced understanding of geometry and physics, and a vibranium shield.
Quirks: She has trouble using her computer sometimes, it’s a common issue for her to also be bad at texting, sometimes sending photos on accident instead of messages. She’s much more comfortable talking face to face if she can or calling.
Because of her super metabolism she can’t actually get sick or drunk. She’s the designated driver for her friends every time.
She’s really good at art, she still has some of her old sketches and doodles from the war.
Modern references to pop culture can confuse her sometimes.
She has a list of things she wants to catch up on which includes, I love Lucy the television show, the moon landing, when the Berlin Wall was constructed and demolished, Steve Jobs from apple, disco, Thai food, Star Wars, Nirvana, Rocky the movie, and the trouble man album.
Loves: The idea of a world that doesn’t need armies or heroes to save the day. A world where everyone can live without the fear of corrupt tyranny or dictatorships. For her, a world with true freedom is why she picks up the shield. And when she can put the shield down she’ll finally be at peace.
Hates: Bullies, in all shapes and forms. Whether it’s a person shaking someone down for lunch money or a dictator oppressing their people there’s nothing Stephanie hates more than someone picking on those beneath them. She places her between innocents and danger because she knows that if even one person is inspired by her, that it’s one person who may do the right thing to protect someone else.
Backstory: Every history class in the United States is taught the history of Captain America. In 1943 she was a soldier that under went the super soldier serum that made her the hero of the front lines, the shield of the innocent, and the Axis buster. During her last fight with the Red Skull she and Bucky Barnes were presumed to have lost their lives making sure American freedom was securely preserved by taking out the Red Skull and the plane that was flying a bomb towards innocents. While it was over the Arctic she was only able to stop the explosion by crashing it into the water below. Originally she was thought to have died until her frozen body was found preserved in a glacial lake. S.H.I.E.L.D having found the body figured out she was still alive and revived her within the modern day. Captain America then joined the Avengers and the rest is history.
But for Stephanie it was more than just a fun action packed history story. Originally she was a weak little lady who could barely even run a few yards before collapsing and wheezing. She was diagnosed with asthma by the age of nine, scoliosis by ten, and heart palpitations by fourteen. Of course at the age of twenty five she tried hiding it to join the army with her friend Bucky, but the army easily figured out she was the runt of the litter. But her bravery and heart of gold made her a prime candidate for the experimental super soldier serum, after basic boot camp and training she was finally confirmed to be the first subject of the super soldier serum.
Underground in a secret lab Stephanie Rogers was strapped to a machine letting it close and pressurize the air inside before injecting dozens of needles inside of her body, pumping the serum into her muscles causing immense pain. The capsule had fogged up during the experiment which obscured the window looking into the machine, but Stephanie grit her teeth and kept going until the machine was fully done.
When the machine cracked its seal and hissed open, pouring steam into the room, meek and frail Stephanie Rogers was turned into the strong and powerful Captain America.
Having been given superhuman strength, durability, and endurance she was able to run up to thirty miles per hour, leap over cars with ease, lift over eight thousand pounds, exercise for twelve hours straight before tiring, and her chronic illnesses were completely cured.
But instead of putting their new super soldier on the frontlines she was instead paraded around as a mascot to advertise war bonds, improve morale, and strike fear into the Axis powers. With her new role as an army mascot she became distraught knowing that her new power wasn’t being used to defend the people. During one of her performances she left early hearing her friend Bucky’s platoon was captured by Hydra. With the mascot outfit and her shield she took a motorcycle and charged head first into battle. Her shield became a symbol of hope as she bashed Hydra agents and shielded gun fire to keep the focus of the enemy so her allies could be protected. Each bullet would barely scratch the surface of the iron as she was successful in liberating the Hydra outpost and saving Bucky.
When the army figured out what she did they decided to update her mascot suit into a leather and Kevlar suit that would shrug off blade attacks and lessen the impact of bullets. And then she was given her special shield. Made from vibranium and painted with an outer red circle, then white circle, then another red circle, and then a blue circle with a white star right in the middle.
For a year and a half Captain America was kicking the asses of the Axis powers until her fateful final fight with the Red Skull. Bucky, to her knowledge was killed during the fight and when the plane crashed she thought she was dead as well.
Until she was thawed out of the ice and became the woman out of time. The new and confusing modern world was jarring but the good fight was a familiar battleground. She joined the Avengers and became Captain America once again.

It was a lazy day for Stephanie as she sits in the living room of Stark Towers with a bunch of dvds, books, and cds. Star Wars is on the tv as she turns to Tony and asks, “Now this bear guy, he’s an alien right?” Tony looks up from his desk and says, “No, that’s just a large dog.” Stephanie takes a closer look and sees the obvious imperfections in the costume, “Stark, if you’re just gonna keep lying to me then why’d you even bother to help catch me up on things?”
Tony drops his gauntlet as he looks over at Stephanie, “I was hoping you’d either stay quiet or leave because of how annoying I am, but it seems I’m gonna have to take the elevator and take like… ten extra minutes to get to my lab.” Stephanie slumps in her chair as she hears Tony press the elevator button and steps in and presses the button to close the door again.
Stephanie pauses the movie as she rubs her temples and whispers, “This is all so complicated.” She looks at one of the cds and see one called Elvis Presley Hound Dog. Slowly she reads the front and back before opening the case and placing the disc into the cd player, “Alright, music is more my speed anyway. Let’s see what this Rock and Roll is all about.”
She presses play and instantly is blasted with, “YOU AINT NOTHING BUT A HOUND DOG!” She quickly goes for the volume control and turns it down as she rubs her ears for a second to relax and soothe the ringing. As the music plays on she slowly starts to tap her foot as she smiles, “I like this. It’s pretty snazzy.” As the lyrics keep going she starts feeling the rhythm in her body as she gets up and looks around to make sure there’s no cameras or people who can see her.
When the coast is clear she starts to dance, shuffling her feet, waving her arms, snapping her fingers as she fully gets into the groove of the song. Each snap of her fingers is perfectly on beat as she hums and closes her eyes, she’s a blur of motion as she poorly sings along to the new song, “You’re nothing like a hound dog! Barking all the time!” She’s so focused on her terrible singing that she doesn’t even hear the elevator door open behind her.
