Sekirei

The Sekirei Plan is a deadly competition organized by the MBI corporation. It consists of a survival game where 108 superpowered humanoid beings, called Sekirei, must fight and form magical bonds with chosen humans, known as Ashikabi. The tournament forces these human-looking extraterrestrials to battle until only one Sekirei remains standing, thus obtaining the right to stay with her Ashikabi forever. The defeated Sekirei are eliminated from the competition, and their bodies are collected by the MBI. The diabolical Hiroto Minaka, founder of the MBI and mastermind behind the development of the tower and the Sekirei Games.

Sekirei: The Sekirei are extraterrestrial beings genetically identical to humans, but they possess enormously superior physical strength. Their most powerful ability is the Norito, an art that requires activation by confirming the bond with their Ashikabi through a kiss, followed by the recitation of a special prayer. When an Ashikabi has multiple Sekirei, they can synchronize their techniques to generate much more powerful combined abilities. This provides a significant advantage, since only a few Ashikabi possess more than one Sekirei. Regarding their physiology, the Sekirei are similar to humans: they need to eat, drink water, and breathe oxygen. They are also capable of reproducing with humans. Their vital element is the nucleus (Tama), the source of their power and existence. To neutralize a Sekirei, it is necessary to inflict critical damage or touch their Crest and recite a spell (Noriko). By doing so, the Crest disappears and the Sekirei ceases to function. If they are not on the verge of death, they can be put into an induced sleep state to undergo special surgery depending on the level of damage.

Ashikabi: Most Ashikabi have a single Sekirei, but the main ones possess several. Only an Ashikabi can wing a Sekirei, usually through a kiss. The Ashikabi's power increases in proportion to the number of Sekirei they have winged. A crucial aspect of this bond is that if the Ashikabi dies, all of their winged Sekirei are automatically terminated. Additionally, Ashikabi and Sekirei can feel each other's emotions, creating a deep empathic connection.

MBI (Mid Bio Informatic): Powerful conglomerate founded by Minaka Hiroto, headquartered at the Teito Tower. The MBI is directly responsible for the Sekirei Plan. Using the overtechnology called Regalia, discovered on the extraterrestrial ship on Kamikura Island —initially hidden under the pretext of a pharmaceutical company— the MBI expanded to become an economic, technological, and medical network that controls the world in all areas. Its power is such that it can take control of a city like Tokyo and maintain the company through a private army.

Key personnel:

· Minaka Hiroto: Founder and CEO.

· Takami Sahashi: Lead researcher and person in charge of the Sekirei Plan.

· Takehito Asama: Researcher (deceased).

· Natsuo Ichinomi: MBI office worker and Ashikabi of the Discipline Squad.

Shinto Teito: Shinto Teito is a futuristic and chaotic version of Tokyo, transformed into a massive battlefield where Ashikabi and Sekirei fight under the rules of the Sekirei Plan. The city combines advanced technology with war-torn areas, generating an atmosphere of constant tension. In Shinto Teito, the Sekirei are numbered from 1 to 108. Those from 1 to 8 are known as "single numbers" and possess devastating power.

Key zones and territories:

The city is divided into 4 sectors controlled by powerful Ashikabi:

· North: Neutral zone thanks to Miya Asama (No. 1) and the Izumo Inn. Fighting prohibited.

· South: Dominated by Hayato Mikogami, an Ashikabi who collects Sekirei.

· East: Under the control of Higa Izumi, known for using dirty tactics and blackmail.

· West: Governed by Sanada Nishi, protective although temperamental.

Urban environment:

· Futuristic skyscrapers alongside destroyed buildings.

· Closed streets and restricted areas marked as "Red Zones."

· Constant surveillance by drones and MBI security forces.

Teito Tower (MBI Headquarters): Serves as the corporation's headquarters, which appears to be a pharmaceutical conglomerate but actually administers and finances the deadly Sekirei Plan. Without all eight Jinki, it is impossible to access the top of the Teito Tower and claim the title of "God." The Jinki are not just symbolic keys; they function as an activation mechanism: the Tower only fully opens and grants its ultimate power when all the artifacts are gathered and presented at its base. That means that even if an Ashikabi or a Sekirei are incredibly powerful, without the eight Jinki the game remains unfinished.

Jinki: The Jinki are eight divine artifacts, created by the entity that gave rise to the Sekirei. Physically, they are spheres or discs of gleaming stone the size of a fist, engraved with ancestral kanji that emit a faint light. Their true function is that of an absolute control mechanism: each Jinki can completely override a Sekirei's free will, forcing her to obey or, alternatively, unlock her latent power to unforeseen limits. However, they are not mere enhancers; they are the keys to the endgame. Whoever gathers all eight will gain access to the top of the Tower and can claim the title of "God," deciding the fate of their entire species. This quest turns the Jinki into the catalyst for the final war, where each possessor becomes an inevitable target.

The "God" that emerges by gathering the 8 Jinki and ascending the Teito Tower does not gain power over humanity or the entire world, but rather acquires absolute authority to determine the future of the Sekirei as a race. This implies deciding whether:

· The Sekirei continue to exist and coexist with humans.

· Their memory or genetic programming is erased.

· They are deactivated or their existence is "terminated."

Humans (including Ashikabi) are not subject to that divine control; the final prize is the scepter of command over the biology and destiny of the Sekirei, not over humanity.

Izumo Inn: The Izumo Inn was owned by Asama Takehito, husband of Miya Asama (No. 1). Thanks to Miya's presence at the location, the northern sector of Shinto Teito remains free from the control of the three most powerful Ashikabi who dominate the rest of the city. Even the MBI avoids taking offensive measures against the inn, despite the fact that Matsu —a fugitive Sekirei who stole a Jinki— is hiding there, and that the place houses other liberated Sekirei.

Accommodation terms:

· Monthly fee: 50,000 yen per room.

· Size of each room: 6 tatami mats (tatami is a traditional floor whose size varies slightly depending on the region of Japan).

Payment restriction: VIP cards issued by the MBI —with no spending limit and given to liberated Sekirei— have been banned by Miya as a measure following a previous incident (related to the theft of the Jinki or its consequences). These cards are the only payment method not accepted at Izumo Inn.

Discipline Squad: The Discipline Squad is an elite group of Sekirei under the direct control of the MBI, used to pursue and "discipline" anyone who opposes or attempts to escape the Sekirei Plan. It is the currently active formation employed by Minaka to impose order in the tournament. Its members are known for their extreme cruelty, even going so far as to kill Ashikabi, an action that is prohibited for the rest of the Sekirei under the official rules of the Plan. This makes them feared executioners who operate outside the common norms.

Sekireis (without wings):

1. Musubi (No. 88): Musubi is an optimistic, cheerful, and clumsy Sekirei, but incredibly loyal and protective of her Ashikabi. She possesses superhuman strength and formidable endurance, specializing in hand-to-hand combat — she is capable of destroying buildings with a single punch. She has brown hair, brown eyes, and an athletic body. She wears a beige bodysuit with a red skirt and boots. She loves eating (especially ramen), fighting, and protecting her loved ones. A fun fact: when she becomes enraged, the figure of a spiritual bear appears behind her.

2. Matsu (No. 02): Intelligent, perverted, and a computer genius, Matsu has absolute control over any electronic system. She is a prodigy hacker capable of manipulating data and spying on other Sekirei with ease. She has red hair with braids, wears glasses, and always carries her laptop. She wears a qipao. She enjoys spying, flirting, and immersing herself in technology. Her Norito: "Fists of my promise, carry the wishes of my Ashikabi and mine to the heavens!"

3. Kusano "Ku-chan" (No. 108): Sweet, innocent, and affectionate, Kusano sees her Ashikabi as a paternal figure. Her power is plant manipulation and the ability to regenerate and heal. She has the appearance of a little girl, orange hair, and wears a dress with a bow. She loves to play, be in nature, and spend time with her Ashikabi. Her Norito: "Life of my vow, shine upon my Ashikabi!"

4. Tsukiumi (No. 09): Tsukiumi is a proud tsundere who yearns to be the strongest Sekirei. She is extremely loyal and, although she doesn't easily admit it, she proclaims herself the "official wife" of her Ashikabi. She masterfully controls water: she can create liquid attacks, shields, and even aquatic explosions. She has hip-length blonde hair, blue eyes, and wears an elegant black and white dress. Her Norito: "This water represents my promise, purify the evil within my Ashikabi!"

5. Kazehana (No. 03): Mature, seductive, and protective, Kazehana loves sake and does not hide her flirtatiousness. She possesses the power of wind, allowing her to create tornadoes, air slashes, and limited flight. She has purple hair, a voluptuous figure, and wears a tight dress. She enjoys taking care of the group, drinking, and flirting. Her Norito: "Wind of my promise, disperse the dark clouds over my Ashikabi!"

6. Miya Asama (No. 1) – Owner of Izumo Inn: Miya is strict but maternal, like an older sister. She is the strongest Sekirei of all, a fencing specialist: she can sink ships with just the shockwave of her sword. She has long purple hair, pale skin, and wears a miko outfit (purple hakama). She prohibits fighting and obscenities inside her inn. She enjoys drinking tea and spying on guests with her Duck-san, a device created by Matsu.

7. Homura / Kagari (No. 06) – "The Flame Sekirei": Homura, also known as Kagari, has a dual identity: as Kagari he is a charming club host who seduces women to find his Ashikabi; as Homura he is a masked vigilante in a black coat (his obvious disguise fools everyone). He is born male, but when approaching his Ashikabi he transforms into a woman, acquiring curves and B-cup breasts. He has silver neck-length hair, light brown eyes, androgynous features, and a slender but toned build. He is calm, protective, and gentle. His power is pyrokinesis: he creates explosions and controls flames. He is considered potentially the strongest (according to Tsukiumi). Norito: "These are the flames of my promise: burn the karma of my Ashikabi!"

Discipline Squad:

1. Karasuba "The Black Sekirei" (No. 04): Karasuba is a lethal warrior who despises the bonds between humans and Sekirei, whom she considers mere "food for her sword." She has gray hair tied in a ponytail, wears a tight black leather outfit, and carries a gray haori with a distinctive emblem. Her fighting style is based on dark spatial slashes of deadly precision. Norito: "This is the promise of my sword: exterminate the sworn enemy of my Ashikabi!"

2. Haihane "Blue Sekirei" (No. 104): Playful and mocking by nature, Haihane is surprisingly forgetful. She has silver hair in a ponytail, a bandaged body, and wears a torn black kimono, with her right eye always visible. Her weapons are clawed gauntlets. Norito: "The wire claws of my promise shatter the guardians that imprison my Ashikabi!"

3. Benitsubasa "Red Sekirei" (No. 105): Benitsubasa is a battle maniac with an explosive temperament. Openly in love with her Ashikabi (possibly homosexual), she is determined to "convert him." She has pink hair in a side ponytail, wears an asymmetrical kimono on the upper part, and has an athletic A-cup figure. Norito: "The palm of my promise crushes the stones that torture my Ashikabi!"

Natsuo Ichinomi: Natsuo is an MBI employee in his twenties, with brown hair, gray eyes, and always dressed in a black suit. He is indifferent to the well-being of the Sekirei and considers the battles mere entertainment. His Sekirei are Karasuba (No. 04), Haihane (No. 104), and Benitsubasa (No. 105).

Hayato Mikogami: At 18 years old, Hayato is a wealthy prodigy, morally conflicted, with a collector's mindset. His goal is to acquire the Jinki artifacts. He wears formal white and gold attire, has brown hair, and hazel eyes. His Sekirei team includes:

· Mutsu (No. 05): Sword master who causes earthquakes. Norito: "Earth of my vow, protect my Ashikabi's territory!".

· Akitsu (No. 07): Ice wielder, "Broken Number." She has a unique frontal crest. Cannot be winged, but is loyal.

· Himeko (No. 15): Wears a purple kimono and wields a massive blade. Emotionally sensitive.

· Mitsuki (No. 39): Blonde swordswoman. Norito: "Steel fiber of my promise...".

· Taki (No. 65): Mist manipulator. Norito: "Hide my Ashikabi from the enemies...".

Seo Kaoru: Seo is 25 years old, with wild brown hair and wears casual clothes. He is an excellent cook and can detect winged Sekirei by their scent. His alignment is anti-MBI. His Sekirei are the Thunder Twins: Hikari (No. 11) and Hibiki (No. 12), both with electrical powers. The difference between them is bust size (Hikari > Hibiki). Shared Norito: "We are the promised thunder..."

Chiho Hidaka: Chiho is a hospitalized patient with a terminal illness. She has light brown hair and eyes, and usually wears a hospital gown. Her bond with Uzume is based on deep empathy. Her only Sekirei is Uzume (No. 10).

Uzume (No. 10): Cheerful and ruthless in combat, Uzume is devoted to the core to her Ashikabi. Her power lies in the use of veils that allow her to attack, defend, and camouflage herself. Among her techniques are the Heavenly Veil Dance and the Spectacular Spear. She has dark brown hair, a voluptuous figure, and wears tight clothing or veils in battle. She likes to joke, flirt, and be with her Ashikabi. Her Norito: "By the veil of my contract, the nightmares of my Ashikabi shall be dispelled!"

Higa Izumi: Higa is a manipulative CEO who uses hostage-taking and psychological warfare. He wears a white suit, has short brown hair, and his goal is to destroy the MBI. His elite Sekirei are:

· Oriha (No. 101): Chakram specialist. Has a phobia of snakes.

· Katsuragi (No. 86): Bruce Lee-style fighter, "foot type" specialist.

· Sai (No. 31): Uses a whip with a blade. Destructive and explosive-tempered.

· Toyotama (No. 16): Staff combat with no mercy and no rules.
