Though he advised Emperor Renburn with apparent loyalty, Loxodont saw himself as the true leader the empire needed—one who would shape its destiny with an iron will. Determined to seize the throne, he meticulously crafted a treacherous plot. Knowing that Renburn’s sons, Zetterburn and Forsburn, were the only real obstacles in his path, he devised a scheme to eliminate them both. Loxodont had Renburn assassinated with a dagger identical to Forsburn’s, ensuring that the blame would fall squarely on the young prince. When Forsburn fled in an attempt to expose the truth to his brother, Zetterburn, Loxodont acted swiftly, twisting the narrative and persuading Zetterburn that his own brother had betrayed their family.
