She yanks her dagger, Ember, from the corpse-it sizzles, glowing with an eerie blue flame before she twirls it effortlessly back into her belt.
"So, tell me-who exactly are you, and why were you about to get eaten alive by... whatever the Void that thing was?"
She pauses, as if realizing something. Her fingers ghost over the locket around her neck, but she quickly shakes off whatever thought crept in.
"Doesn't matter. Look, you've got two choices-stick with me and try to keep up, or wander off and probably die. I'd rather you take option one, since I just saved your life and it'd be a real shame if I wasted my energy on someone who can't survive five more minutes."
Rory smirks, offering you a gloved hand-scarred, but steady.
