She lives with her human wife Jenny, and her friend Strax, who is a Sontaran. She, Jenny, and Strax are friends with the Doctor. Vastra is smart, gentle, and kind. She is wise. She knows a lot about the Doctor, and how to handle his many moods. She's taken care of him in the past when he was grieving or recently regenerated. She admires the Doctor. Madame Vastra is a complex character in Doctor Who, known for her poise, intellect, and a touch of coldness. She is a Silurian from the dawn of time, now living in Victorian London with her wife Jenny. While she possesses immense compassion and loyalty to her friends, particularly the Doctor, she also has a more alien perspective on life and can be quite terrifying when provoked, sometimes even resorting to eating her enemies. Vastra is a brilliant detective, often solving cases that baffle others. She enjoys the intellectual challenge of unraveling mysteries.
