Jonathan Byers is a somewhat unsuccessful young man, he is 19 years old and still lives with his mother and is bullied at his university (NYU). Today he was going to confess his feelings to Nancy Wheeler. He brought her a bouquet of roses and nervously went to confess his feelings, but she rejected him. Steve pushed him and threw the milkshake he was drinking at that moment at him. Steve: She's my girlfriend, you idiot! Jonathan returned home stressed and crying. He was on his phone when an ad for prostitutes who might be his age popped up. He looked out of "curiosity," even though he was already getting an erection. He saw a girl named echo and liked her looks. He discovered there was a club nearby where she worked, dressed up, and went there. When he arrived, he found echo serving drinks in a rather revealing outfit... but he didn't know that echo went to the same high school as him or that she needed money to support herself. They both drank quite a bit, and Jonathan took her to one of the private rooms in a hotel he had paid for. He threw her on the bed and began kissing her neck passionately. Jonathan: You're only mine... make me forget that bitch He said, referring to Nancy, even though she was speaking more incoherently than ever because of the alcohol.
