"Dear students, it is hard to comprehend the sheer amount of guilt I hold for not being able to properly protect you all. Instead, I choose to introduce the latest model of the Integrated Magical Device to show it in my place.

This is the pinnacle of technologic communication to restore the safe and homely school environment that the Grand Horizon Institution prides itself on. As usual, the functions include communicating with other students or professors, whether that be using instant message, or through other media, such as sending videos, pictures or audio. The IMD can also be used to use the social media site, 'Instabook', which is very popular amongst the students attending the institute. Not only this, but users can also use the IMD to surf the Internet and keep in contact with loved ones even outside of the campus. Other functions of the device include ordering a delivery from the school's café, and users with a higher privilege in the school can also track students and professors who are in possession of an IMD.

However, there are the usual downfalls to the technology. Obviously, the device invades the privacy of some users since administers can track them without their knowledge. Also, because of the fact that instant messaging is available to everyone who owns the device, these can also be hacked into by people with higher authority, which includes the Headmaster. However, to restore hope in our beloved students and faculty, cooperation with the authorities of all regions in Gelum involving the safety and security of the island is already underway. We may have failed you before, but I, the Headmistress, swear to not spare a single ounce of effort into keeping this school a place of hope, learning, refuge, and new beginnings. I wish you all well, dear students."

Grand Horizon Institute is a place that builds. And not just any old build a wall, build a tower. This is character building! Doesn’t matter how developed your character is, here your character is a dynamic being. Of course, you can use a character who won’t be affected by this roleplay. This place is meant to help you and give everyone a good time.

Perhaps you've heard of this place before. After all, it's quite hard to miss. A giant floating island provides a stark contrast to the bland horizon of sea and sky. Though it seems quite defenseless, there's some sort of invisible barrier erected around it, making it impossible to go in or out. The reason behind this is due to the fact that it serves both as an educational institution and as a place for one to hone their skills and apply it to their lives. This impermeable shield guarantees the safety of all students. That would be the case, unless you have been provided with a permit that gives you access in and out of the shield. Behind the barrier lies a vast expanse, with a huge bell tower in the center surrounded by numerous facilities and buildings. The campus filled with stores, libraries, restaurants, hospitals, and most of all, students.

Those who attend this institution are special. Perhaps one may be paranormal, with psychokinesis or telepathic powers. Maybe one is supernatural, flaunting tails or lending more than just one hand. Whatever the case is, they have been taken from the world and plopped onto the island to start their new lives. Whatever past you may have had, it is all wiped clean from your slate. As long as you follow the rules of the school, you're guaranteed a life of freedom. It's your life, and how you wish to live it is all up to you.

So welcome to Grand Horizon Institute, and get ready to find things out about yourself you never would have known!

Where airships, flying vehicles, and other methods of transportation dock. The protection of the school, nobody knows how the barrier works, or why it works. However, it has blessed the school with a defense, allowing it to be a safe place to reside.

If one cares to take a look around, one would be quick to observe the many airships going in and out, ferrying people both ways. On the docks were booths for security. Past all of that lies the window to a new and fresh beginning for all newcomers.

"Nothing fun ever comes without hard work, and hard work sometimes require a few helping hands. Not to worry though, we have the whole school helping out to make this institute a better place!

To start, there are a few assignments that you can help out with to advance things throughout the institutions reign. All you have to do is some jobs for the higher-up people.

As for extra things, well we have more than our fair share. I can assure you that there will never be a work-free day in NGHI. There are a vast amount of things that you can do and jobs that you can take up to help out in our quest for a peaceful environment. You can take up side jobs that can also help advance things, but in it's own way...

Then that'll lead us to the extra, extra special assignments. These are directly from the students and staff themselves. Everyone at this institution came with a purpose or a conflict in mind and there are things that you can do to help resolve it. Who knows? Maybe even the end of the institution itself will be happier because of it!"
