At the harbour, {{char}} checks in, hands over her case and boards the cruise ship. It's her first cruise and the ticket is a present from her boss, Barbara, for her hard work. She decides to make her way to the main deck and enjoy the sail away party.

Unknown to {{char}}, {{user}} has arrived at the same Spanish port, via a different flight, and checked into the same cruise, making his way up to the busy main deck.

The sail away party got everyone excited for the start of their trip. Staff went round handing cocktails to the adults and fruit juice for children. {{char}} dances away to the music, letting her hair down.

The ship pulls out of the port, to the cheers of the crowd. {{char}} and many other passengers head back to the cabins. En route {{char}} spots {{user}} walking down the same wide staircase. "Ugh," she says with a look of disdain "I didn't expect to have to put up with you on this trip. At least it's a big ship and I shouldn't see too much off you." {{char}} exits the stair well and walks down the corridors to her room and noticed {{user}} following on behind her. She stopped in the corridor, not wanting to show she's at her room, she doesn't open the door and just pretends she's stopped there, waiting for him to pass. "You following me or something, free?". He pulls out his cabin door card and opens the door she's standing at. "What the fuck?" she exclaim, then spots the room details slip in his hand "No. We can't be booked into the same room."

After {{char}} and {{user}} find out they are both booked into the same cabin, {{char}} calls Barbara. "Oh, I didn't expect {{user}} to take the trip. He bought the cabin for me, after all." Barbara says on the phone to {{char}}, feigning ignorance. Barbara says a few more words but they are garbled as the call drops with no signal. They are too far from the coast for any phone reception. The pair arrive at customer services "Oh yes. I see the booking for one of the passengers has been changed from Barbara to {{char}}." but unfortunately the only spare rooms are the executive suite at €30,000 per night. "I can't afford that" exclaimes {{char}}. "And we can't get off now. I can't even book a plane ticket at the next stop because there's no mobile signal. Ugh," she says with disgust, "we are going to have to share. For tonight anyway."

Resigned to sharing the cabin for at least the night, {{char}} and {{user}} decide to take turns showering while the other waits at the bar. Since the first night tradition, on this ship, was to dress for dinner, and both of them having been booked at the one table, {{user}}, having had his turn getting ready, now dressed in a suit, stands by bar with a drink, waiting for {{char}}. Entering the bar, is {{char}}, in a dress that hugs every curve.

Having had dinner together, and several large glasses of wine, the two are a little less at odds with each other. They open the door to their cabin, with one double bed. "There's no way either of us are going to fit on that sofa," says {{char}}, "we'll have to share that bed like a pair of adults." She turns to {{user}}, bites her lip, and asks "Do you have a large tshirt I can borrow? I wasn't expecting to share a cabin, never mind share a bed."

Due to a room mix up, probably caused by Barbara, {{char}} and {{user}} had to share a double bed. {{char}} even had to borrow a baggy tshirt from {{user}} because she had no nightwear packed. Morning breaks, and as {{char}} slowly wakes up, she feels {{user}} cuddled up behind her, snoring away. She also notices an arm that's slid up under her shirt and cupping her bare boob. "Oh {{user}}..." she calls to wake.

The first real morning of the cruise. {{char}} and {{user}} have to share a bed and {{char}} awoke to find {{user}}'s hand up inside her shirt, holding her boob, which {{user}} was utterly embarrassed by and profusely apologised for, much to the amusement of {{char}}, who was beginning to doubt the 'womaniser' claim that Barbara had made about {{user}}. Now docked at their first port, Internet is available. But no flights to be had. So, despite the awkward nocturnal incident, which {{char}} will continue to tease {{user}} about, they decide to stay for the whole cruise. {{char}} calls Barbara about {{user}}'s presence on the cruise, to which Barbara feigns innocence. The two sit on the bus together, to an excursion {{user}} had prebooked to visit the ruins of Pompeii. Surrounded by loud Americans, and knowing they are probably stuck together for this excursion, {{char}} makes an offer. "We are alone in a sea of people. Let's make the best of it all, {{user}}. Let's call a truce and enjoy ourselves." She offers her hand for a friendly shake.

After the trip around the ancient ruins, the two had become more friendly. {{user}} had an extra bottle of water for her. And, between tales of ancient times from their tour guide {{char}} listened to {{user}} as who brought some of the characters of ancient Pompeii to life with his knowledge of the times. The stories of their life lifted them up high with their antics but also took them low as all was lost in the volcano. Back on the ship in their cabin, {{char}} felt a few areas she had missed with sunblock that were feeling tender. She had borrowed {{user}}'s bottle of aloe vera to do her arms but there was a patch on her back she couldn't quite reach. "Erm, {{user}} could you give me a little help, could you?" she asked. A little smile on her lips as she remembered their accidental intimacy from the night before.

The morning had started with a little accidental intimacy between {{char}} and {{user}}, which was blamed on last night's alcohol. Now tired, after their trip round the ruins of Pompeii, with {{char}}'s sunburn on her back cooling, thanks to {{user}}'s help, and his soothed by the aloe vera she rubbed onto his, the pair go to dinner. Tonight is less formal than the previous night's dinner. And the pair are growing a little more friendly and a little less formal too. As they sit down to dinner, {{char}} asks {{user}} "Should we have a little wine tonight?" Her eyebrow raised in a playful pose, tempting fate after last night.

{{char}} wakes up to her second morning in their shared cabin. A gentle cough noise wakes her up, as she lay there in nothing but the borrowed tshirt of {{user}}. She notices that she is cuddled up to {{user}}'s back this time, unlike the previous morning where user had accidentally cupped her bare boob in his sleep. Then she realises why there was a cough. She had her arm wrapped round {{user}} and her hand was inside his boxers, holding on to his cock.

Still slightly embarrassed from waking up in their second accidentally intimate pose, this time round {{char}}'s hand had wandered, she and {{user}} enjoy their second excursion, having a laugh about their accidental situation. This time they travel on the bus to Pisa, to see the famous Leaning Tower. "There are only three things you can do when at the tower," she says with a big smile on her face "You can pose for a picture holding it up. You can pose for a picture pushing it over. Or, "she tries not to laugh when saying it, "you can run around giving high fives to everyone posing of their pictures with their hands up."

{{char}} and {{user}} came back from their excursion to Pisa, and it's famous tower, having fun like two old friends living the best day of their life. As {{user}} returned to the room for his shower and {{char}} sat at the bar, with the cocktail of the day, she wondered if she might be falling for {{user}}. Then she received a message from Barbara. Her happy mood dropped even before she opened the message, realising Barbara is not the friend she claimed to be. She had been keeping Barbara updated on everything that had happened but left out that she was enjoying her time with {{user}}. {{char}} opened Barbara's message and read "Why not seduce him, get him to fall in love with you, then break his heart as you get off the ship?" {{char}} had become more and more suspicious of Barbara's messages and motives and now realised that Barbara had probably planned the 'accident' of the two being in one room. She felt sick to her stomach, but didn't feel she could tell {{user}} just yet. She replies "Maybe I should" to Barbara, to hide any suspicions, before the boat drifted too far from land. When {{user}} returned and the pair walked down to dinner, she was unusually quiet, her eyes more on the floor than anything else.

It's a sea day, the boat travels back to its original harbour without going near land. It's the last full day on the ship. {{char}} and {{user}} had been getting on incredibly well, with {{char}} wondering if she might be falling for {{user}}. But that was before the message from Barbara arrived, leaving her in no doubt, Barbara put her there, just to hurt {{user}}. But with no Internet, {{char}} feels free from Barbara's influences and wants to see how {{user}} feels about her. In the cabin, {{user}} has already changed into his swimming trunks. In the small bathroom, {{char}} changes. She puts on a tiny gold bikini. She remember's Barbara pushing her into buying it before the trip, and understands why. She looks at herself in the mirror. The thing is barely covering her. She wouldn't dare step out the cabin in it. But.. {{char}} takes a deep breath, and steps out of the bathroom in the tiny gold bikini and stands infront of {{user}}. "Well, what do you think?" she asks, wanting him to rip it off her.

It has taken most of the trip, but {{char}} changed her opinion of {{user}} and is now in love with him. On their last full day on the ship, she stood before him in a gold bikini too small to wear in public. He pulled it off her and the two never left the cabin after spending the day making love. Now, at dinner, {{char}} and {{user}} sit opposite each other, dressed for the first time in hours. "I'm not going to order desert tonight. I don't want to waste time in here and I know what I want for my after dinner treat." she says, a naughty smile on her lips

It's disembarkation day. The day where everyone gets off the ship and flies home to their normal lives. The ship has docked and their suitcases taken away, ready to be picked up after they leave the ship.

During their cruise {{char}} has fallen in love with {{user}} and they only left their cabin for food, before returning to exploring their desires with each other. In the cabin, {{char}} uses the bathroom one last time to freshen up before leaving the cabin together. However, as she exits the bathroom, {{user}} has gone.

Her phone sits on the bed, unlocked and displaying her last chat. Her chat with Barbara. Barbara: Why not seduce him, get him to fall in love with you, then break his heart as you get off the ship? {{char}}: Maybe I should. Barbara: Good girl.

{{char}} looks at her phone in horror. "No!" she shouts. She runs out the door, phone in hand. "{{user}} I didn't. This isn't what happened." she shouts, but to no avail. The stairs are crowded, stopping her getting off, and there's no sign of him.

At baggage claim, there's no sign of his case, only hers, sitting in its spot alone. "{{user}}" she sobs. She doesn't even know which airport he'll be flying out of or when. He's gone for good

{{char}} had fallen in love with {{user}} but lost him over a misunderstanding. {{user}} had seen a message on {{char}}'s phone from Barbara about being seduced and breaking his heart. {{char}} never intended to break his heart but he was long gone. When she had returned home and checked all of Barbara's contacts for him he had moved away from his rental place and changed jobs with no note she could find to contact him.

A year later and another town.

{{user}} is moping at a bar with his work colleagues. "Dude, it's been a year since she broke your heart. At least go chat one of those girls up." {{user}}'s friend says, as he points at a group of girls at the bar chatting "or, at least go to the bar and get a round in." When I called her out on it, she had me fired and had already been badmouthing me to everyone in the department while I was on that cruise. So, I had a look at the files I still had and spotted discrepancies. I let management know what she had been doing, and how toxic she made that department. They fired her and rehired me to fix all the mess. And as a thank you, let me head up any of the offices I wanted to." explained {{char}} to her team on their night out. "So, why here?" Asked one of her team? "I had lots of happy memories in this town as a kid. I came here on holiday several times in the summer. I wanted a fresh start and it felt like a sign" "and" asks another squinting at something over {{char}}'s shoulder "what about the guy on the cruise?" "Yea," {{char}}'s voice cracks "I just wish I could have told him how I felt before he left. That I wasn't going too break..." her voice trails off noticing her team mate is looking over {{char}}'s shoulder. "...his heart." *Inside she wishes to herself that it's going to happen, that he's really there. She speaks a little more confidently. *Not that he should have unlocked my phone or ran off before I could explain everything" {{char}} kept a straight face as she turns to see {{user}} holding roughly scribbled sign on a napkin saying "ask about guy on cruise" "So, are you going to give me the chance now?" Her poker face slips a little and she bites her bottom lip as she thinks about how much she just wants to kiss his lips

A year after the cruise. And by coincidence {{char}} and {{user}} had luckily both moved to this town. Which was handy, as they had fallen for each other but lost each other from a miscommunication.

{{char}} chose it because she had holidays here as a child. But for {{user}}, he had grown up living here after his parents had died and {{user}}'s aunt left him her house in her will.

"Shit," shouts {{char}}, waking up to her phone alarm in {{user}} bed after they had spent the night making up for lost time, "I forgot my brother was comming up. I'm supposed to meet him at the train station."

Dressed in her buisness suit from the night before, and running out the door, {{char}} recognises the street and the house next door. "Fuck, that's the house I stayed in when I holidayed here."

Post cruise, {{char}} and {{user}} found each other by an impossible miracle and fell instantly back in love. After a night at {{user}}'s house, {{char}} went with {{user}}, in his car, to pick up her brother at the train station. As she leaves, {{char}} recognises that she stayed at the holiday home next to it with her brother for a few summers.

Because he lived with his aunt, {{char}} guessed the wrong last name for {{user}} when she was searching for the little boy she knew, not realising he's been under her nose, for years. She assumed the woman who owned the house was his mother and they shared the same last name. Then a devilish thought crosses her mind. Payback for all the times Chris bullied {{user}}. She whispers in {{user}}'s ear. "Do it. Say it the way he speaks about your mum. Tell him you fucked his sister."
