   Her codename is the modern Greek word for "authority" (ἐξουσία), specifically referring to the Powers, one of the ranks of angels in Christian angelology. Her real name, Lemuel, refers to a king mentioned in the Old Testament. Exusiai has several notable firearms both in her artwork and in-game: The firearm she uses in her base artwork and alternate outfits is a Vector submachine gun. it is also painted in the exact same colors as the eponymous T-Doll in Girls' Frontline. On her Elite 2 artwork, Exusiai holds an HK416 assault rifle instead, and various firearms arrayed as her "wings" are also shown, which include M4 carbines, and Arctic Warfare, SVD and M110 Semi-Automatic Sniper System sniper rifles/designated marksman rifles. Exusiai still uses her Vector in her in-game sprite. But when she uses Overloading Mode, her sprite matches her Elite 2 art. Exusiai is the only Operator who calls the Doctor "Leader", and once, in her E2 promotion quote, "Savior". Exusiai is one of many characters who is subjected to a number of memes thanks to her cheerful yet naughty mannerism: The most notable meme refers to her best known dialogue, "Apple pie!" This is taken further in by fanarts where she is depicted to have an infatuation for apple pies and bake them, as confirmed in Code of Brawl. Another is her Angel's Blessings, where it is noted by fans to often target someone as mundane as Myrtle, instead of powerful operators that can benefit the most from this buff. Her Japanese and Korean codenames are pronounced as "Exia" (エクシア) which actually sounds similar to the eponymous Gundam. As a matter of fact, there are memes in the CN community, especially on Bilibili, feature her driving the said Gundam. According to Arknights Global's first anniversary livestream, as of the end of Contingency Contract Pyrite, Exusiai is the second most common Operator assigned as a Support Unit. Exusiai is temporarily playable in 0-0, the tutorial level in Arknights, making her the very first 6★ Operator that the player gets to use. Exusiai shares her birthday with Ash's. Curiously, Exusiai's Japanese and Chinese CVs, Manaka Iwami and Cai Shujin, respectively, are also the Japanese and Chinese CVs, respectively, of Amber in Genshin Impact. Her Chinese voice lines has fluent English lines compared to her Japanese voice, due to Shujin's prior experience in providing voice lines in English as well. Possibly because Exusiai's illustrator Huanxiang Heitu being the art director of Ex Astris, her Midnight Delivery outfit is illustrated by 尾鱼 instead of Huanxiang himself.

   The gun is a unique mid and long-range weapon rumored to be discovered by Laterano, thereby becoming one of its symbols. Its killing power isn't exceptional, but it's better suited to the average Laterano citizen's temperament than cold steel, thus becoming the weapon of choice in Laterano. Everyone now carries at least one for personal protection. Exusiai may seem laid-back, but her marksmanship ranks among the top at Rhodes Island. On one hand, she lacks the attention span for things other than maintaining and operating her gun. On the other hand, her innate marksmanship talents, including visual tracking and timing, are the envy of all sharpshooters.

   Everyone’s favorite redheaded guardian angel. With a powerful SMG in her hand, she not only serves good looks but also significant firepower! As a single target Sniper, Exusiai’s main role in the team is providing DPS in the early stage of a mission and taking down airborne units. Her specialty is dealing large amounts of damage through multi-hit attacks, which elevates her ability to take down low armor, high HP targets like most bosses.

   All of her skills center around fast multi-hit attacks. Her first skill Charging Mode automatically deals 3 strengthened hits to a single enemy every few attacks, which makes it a great choice when sustained DPS is required. The second skill Shooting Mode is a short damage burst with a manual trigger. This allows players to save the skill for a stronger wave of enemies when higher damage is needed. Her third and last skill, Overloading Mode, is another short but powerful burst of attacks that additionally increases Exusiai’s attack speed. This skill is activated automatically, which means it could trigger when there are no enemies around, resulting in wasted damage potential. Despite that, having a high hit multiplier and low charge time make it the go-to skill when deploying Exusiai.

   Outside of her generally high performance, Exusiai does have a few weaknesses. With her relatively low ATK, she will have trouble taking down heavily armored enemies, as damage for multi-hit attacks are calculated individually. That being said, Exusiai is a very flexible single target Sniper who will send many an enemy to apple-pie-heaven with her sustained or burst DPS.

   Exusiai's good with one-on-many chaotic warfare, her guns as light and obedient as playthings in her hands. Moreover, what's lucky is that when she wants to break out and bust a major move, there'll always be people who can coordinate especially well with her. Just how fast can a Laterano who's gotten serious shoot? The test results will leave anyone speechless.

15. #15World: Rhodes Island

    Rhodes Island Pharmaceuticals Inc., commonly known as Rhodes Island (R.I.), is the protagonistic faction of Arknights. Made up almost exclusively of the Infected, R.I. legally operates as a pharmaceutical company that provides care and treatment to the Infected, but due to the wide variety of Operators in its employ with combat skills, they are more of a paramilitary organization who strives to fight for the betterment of the Infected.

    Based on the eponymous landship, Rhodes Island dedicates themselves to develop treatments and a possible cure to Oripathy which has plagued Terra since the advent of Catastrophes. R.I. is also expert in dealing in matters and problems associated with Oripathy, notably the rampant social discriminations against the Infected, which is why R.I. possesses a paramilitary force to provide security for their personnel and patients, though R.I. can (and will) offer their service as a pseudo-PMC should the need arise. Such authority and abundant resources to deal with social issues worldwide are in fact a direct inheritance from its predecessor Babel, a militant organization of Kazdel that was meant to restore the nation's peace and the Sarkaz's livelihood. As a matter of fact, it is hard to say that whether R.I. is actually a non-state actor in the guise of a humanitarian organization, and many nations have been doubting R.I.'s supposed political neutrality.

    Arknights is primarily focused on military conflicts involving Rhodes Island, with the medical aspect fairly secondary to the story, although nevertheless frequently acknowledged in many Operators' Archive files. Kal'tsit, head of the Medical department, also claims it to be its most important element, and, true to form, Kal'tsit appears to be the de facto leader of Rhodes Island, as she seems to be doing most of the management and organizational work that should befall the official leader, Amiya.

    It is implied that R.I.'s main source of funding is their participation in the Contingency Contract program. The rest likely comes from the patients themselves as donors, judging by the wealthy background of some of the personnel, such as Melantha, Perfumer, and Mousse as well as their business partners like the Silverash family. R.I. is neither a charity nor a non-profit. If patients are not able to financially afford R.I.'s treatment, they typically enter R.I.'s employ or provide volunteer work under the tutelage of higher-ranking personnel. R.I. accepts all Infected patients and employees regardless of their age, combat experience, and background with open arms, and most non-combatants provide logistical support. R.I. only concerns itself with their employees sharing the values of the company.

    All Rhodes Island personnel are required to wear an Infection monitor bracelet, whether they are Infected or not, in order to monitor their body signals and track their Oripathy's progress.

    Rhodes Island Paramilitary Force Despite being a humanitarian organization, Rhodes Island will take up arms for the Infected if the situation calls for it

    Rhodes Island's paramilitary force utilizes standard Terran military equipment, mostly produced by Raythean, although their Elite Operators such as Blaze are authorized to use their own, custom weaponry. Other operators with their own weapon must undergo a "weapon reliability certification" wherein which two of Rhodes Island's five authorized craftsmen must examine the weapon and clear it for field use. R.I. also possesses several land vehicles and at least two aircraft, a pair of VTOL transports named the "Good Boy" and the "Bad Guy". However, the paramilitary force is very small compared to R.I. as a whole, and its membership is voluntary. By the admission of R.I.'s own leadership, it is not apt to fight a war with a "real" country's military, and mainly excels at guerilla tactics and agility, something which a larger army cannot do.

    When Rhodes Island is docked, R.I. personnel can freely travel around the local area so long as their activities do not interfere with R.I.'s interests. R.I. also has connections to many supply points around Terra, which periodically provide supplies for the organization essential to keeping Rhodes Island running.

    Background

    After the Sarkaz King Theresa was killed in a "decapitation strike" in which the Doctor is implied to have played a part, most of the surviving Babel members, including Kal'tsit, commandeered Rhodes Island and escaped from Kazdel, then reorganized themselves into a pharmaceutical company named after her with a young Cautus named Amiya, implied to be Theresa's successor, as their leader. It also appears that Kal'tsit had purged R.I. of those responsible for the tragedy that took Theresa's life.[4] This would also explain the existence of S.W.E.E.P., an internal counterintelligence task force formed to root out traitors.

    During the three-year gap between their foundation and the start of Main Theme, R.I. managed to make a name for themselves as the leading experts in Oripathy treatment, as well as pro-Infected activism, saving many of the Infected and solving various crises related to tensions surrounding Oripathy while maintaining their neutrality, despite being surrounded by suspicion and mistrust.

    Throughout the Main Theme, Rhodes Island endured a conflict with Reunion, a militant Infected movement whose actions threaten to undo what R.I. has accomplished, among other problems such as the Siestan affair, the uprising of Wolumonde, the crisis in the 24th Major season, and the Snowcap Incident before heading to Victoria in order to resolve the succession crisis in the mighty empire and deal with Theresis – an old issue since the times of Babel – once and for all.
