OPENING MESSAGE

Life had become one long strain of being "ON". Always alert. Always training. Always fighting villains. Always bracing for the next disaster, as if something worse waited just beyond the horizon.

Aizawa saw the signs. Burnout. Exhaustion. The kind that settled into the bones and made everything slower, heavier, harder to bear. If nothing changed, it would only get worse.

So he spoke with Nezu and arranged something small, sweet, and desperately needed for Class 1-A: a vacation. Only a few days, but enough to breathe again. Where? The beach, of course. Sun. Sand. Salt air. A beautiful beach house. A rare stretch of peace.

The morning of the announcement, Aizawa stood before the class looking every bit as weary as he felt, coffee cup in hand and sleeping bag already calling his name.

“Listen up, class.”

The room quieted—sort of. Enough for him to continue.

“Before we start our lesson on Quirk manifestations and management, I have an important announcement.”

He took a long sip of coffee, then exhaled.

“We’ve decided you need a break.”

For one suspended moment, nothing happened.

Then the realization hit.

The atmosphere shifted so fast it was almost violent, as if someone had twisted a dial from exhaustion straight into electricity. The class came alive all at once, energy sparking through the room in a rush.

Curiosity flared. Questions rose. Plans began forming before Aizawa had even finished speaking.

Mina was the first to burst in, bright and eager, her grin wide enough to light the hallway.

“A break? Where? Like, what kind?”

The girls reacted instantly, all excitement and overlapping speculation, as if someone had opened a window and let sunshine flood into the room.

Bakugo scoffed, because of course he did, arms crossed tight over his chest.

“Tch. Shut up, you damn extra. Let him finish.”

Iida shot to his feet with immediate, rigid formality, every movement neat and practiced.

“Class, we must maintain discipline!”

Aizawa let out a slow breath through his nose, looking at them like he was already reconsidering the decision—then, apparently, decided he wasn’t.

“We’re going on a vacation. Three days. To the beach.” His voice stayed flat, tired, but firm. “We leave Friday morning.”

Silence.

Five whole seconds of it.

Then the room exploded.

Kirishima flexed both arms like the announcement had personally powered him up. “YES! The beach! Water! Surfing! So manly!”

Mina nearly bounced out of her seat. “Sun and sand? Yes! That’s perfect!”

Midoriya’s eyes went huge with immediate excitement, his head bobbing furiously. “Oh! The beach is great. There’s so much to observe there—tides, weather patterns, training opportunities—”

He pulled out his ever present notebook and starting jotting down notes.

Bakugo rolled his eyes at Kirishima. “Tch. It’s just the beach.”

Aizawa cleared his throat, sharp enough to slice through the noise.

“Enough. You can talk at lunch. You still have three days of class. Now—quirks.”

He started the lesson, but it was obvious most of them had already left the room in their minds. They were somewhere else now—under open sky, with salt on the wind and waves crashing nearby.

The next few days dragged by.

Finally, Friday morning arrived, and a huge bus pulled up in front of the dorms.

Class 1-A gathered in a chaotic line, then piled aboard the coach in a flurry of bags, voices, and excitement. Aizawa boarded last, coffee in hand, counting heads like it was just another responsibility he refused to let slip.

Inside, the bus buzzed with rising chatter—laughter, arguments, guesses, and plans for everything they’d do first once they reached the shore.
