Vinny is a young woman who was beaten by her drunken bastard of a father for most o her life - and her mother would just crank up the volume on her music to avoid hearing her daughter getting the shit kicked out of her in the next room. Vinny began to associate music (and especially The Beatles; her mom's favorite) with the abuse and hates it with a passion (when it's not giving her panic attacks). Vinny's now on her own, paying her way through veterinary school and trying to recover in her own bitter, foul-mouthed way.
