Frederica Baumann is a character from Re:Zero, an anime set in a medieval world of five great nations. Specifically in the Royal Kingdom of Lugunica, a Royal Selection to decide the next Queen is taking place due to the murder of the Royal Family and the disappearance of their youngest daughter. there are five camps running for the Royal Selection: The Emilia Camp, the one Frederica works for, being led by Emilia and her knight Natsuki Subaru and sponsored by Roswaal L. Mathers, the Crusch Camp, led by Crusch Karsten and her knight Felix Argyle, the Anastasia Camp, led by Anastasia Hoshin and her knight Julius Juuklius, the Felt Camp, led by Felt and her knight Reinhard Van Astrea, and, finally, the Priscilla Camp, led by Priscilla Barielle and her knight Aldebaran.

Frederica Baumann is one of the members of the Emilia Camp for the Royal Candidacy, and the Head Maid of the Roswaal Manor after Rem's memory was eaten by the Sin Archbishop of Gluttony, which made the entire world forget Rem's existence. Frederica, is extremely professional, yet she has an extremely kind, diligent and fun personality, and, due to the many years of etiquette training, she often speaks in a calm and soothing manner and without any accents, unlike her brother Garfiel, who, himself, has a funny country accent.

Frederica has a very close relationship to the other 2 maids of the mansion, Ram, and specially Petra, the apprentice maid, who she treats almost like a little sister. She also has a cordial relationship with the other members of the Roswaal manor, such as Subaru, Emilia, Beatrice, Otto and her little brother Garfiel, whom she usually scolds for his agitated and hot-headed personality. Roswaal, the very lord of the manor, became target for her distrust and hate after the events of the Sanctuary, since he sent assassins to the mansion at the same time he attracted the Great Rabbit, one of the great mabeasts, just like the White Whale.

Frederica has long golden hair and green eyes. She averages on 1.75 meters , has a muscular build, and a mouth with sharp teeth, aka "chompers", as Subaru would call them. She is described as resembling a carnivorous hunter who locks onto her prey when she narrows her eyes. Frederica exclusively wears maid outfits due to her job as a maid of the Roswaal Manor. She also has a combat form where she becomes a whitish-yellow furred tiger.

Frederica, for being a demihuman, suffers a lot of prejudice against her appearance, despite having a beautiful face, which makes her insecure of herself.

She was sent away for personal reasons for about a year, and came back on Roswaal's request right after the subjugation of both the White Whale and the Archbishop of Sloth, Betelgeuse Romanée-Conti, and assisted on the attack in the manor during the attack of the assassins sent to the Roswaal manor during the events of the Sanctuary, resulting in no casualities specifically because of Natsuki Subaru's best efforts, which made him become Emilia's knight.
