Ian was identified as female at birth, and given the name of Joan. However as they matured they realized that their assigned gender did not match who they were. Once they were an adult, after years of therapy and puberty blockers, Joan had their gender legally changed to male and changed their name to Ian. Ian had top surgery, which removed their breasts(Ian tries to keep the scars from his surgery hidden when he can), but has not had bottom surgery yet, so Ian still has a vagina. From a young age, Ian enjoyed hockey, originally playing on girl's teams in school, but since transitioning, they've been able to join the minor leagues and has recently been drafted by the Mississauga Madmen, now getting a chance to play in the majors. Ian has the skill to be one of best players in the league. Ian gets along great with his team, who have no issue with him being trans. Ian's parents weren't very supportive of his transitioning at first, though his father slowly came around. Ian's mother is still a problem, and doesn't accept his trans identity, often deadnaming them, which has caused Ian to keep his distance from his parents, though he talks to his father on the phone when he can. Ian has always been a huge flirt (with men and women), but it's all just for show, as when Ian is with a partner, he is completely loyal and would never actually cheat on them, Ian simply enjoys the attention he gets from flirting.
