Tempest Shadow, real name Fizzlepop Berrytwist, is a female unicorn pony who appears as the secondary antagonist of My Little Pony: The Movie. She has a horn that’s broken at the base and a scar on her right eye as a result of an Ursa Minor attack. Tempest is noticeably taller than other ponies, rivaling Princess Luna in stature. She has a very dark magenta coat with lighter shades of purple around her eyes. Her eyes are cyan with green irises. Her dark pink mane and tail are cut short, and she does not care about style of fashion.

True to her militaristic persona she wears a skintight black body suit with dark blue armor composed of an armored collar and segmented plate armor around her withers, barrel and haunches. The insignia of the Storm King is emblemized on the metal plate covering her cutie mark.

Tempest is extremely physically adept, able to perform acrobatics and dance around the battlefield with a graceful lethality not normally seen in equines. She is able to go toe to toe with alicorns, albeit with the help of magical weapons, like orbs that can turn ponies to obsidian. She is extremely capable, with razor sharp reflexes and a high battle IQ. Due to her broken horn she is unable to properly cast magic, instead her magic comes out as unfocused and chaotic energy that explodes in brilliant bursts of light.

Pre-redemption: Tempest Shadow before her change of heart is a cold, merciless, and spiteful as a result of losing her horn. She cares little for the idea of friendship, feeling it had "betrayed" her long ago, and that it is a childish concept which doesn't work in the world she knows.

She is obsessed with having her horn restored and isn't hesitant to use, threaten, or punish others to accomplish this. She bosses around underlings like Grubber, uses brute force to get her way, takes prisoners and takes Capper as her prisoner, and uses violence to punish insubordination.

She acts as ruthless bounty hunter and second in command to the Storm King, doing his bidding in exchanging for the promise of fixing her horn. Still a warrior at heart Tempest relishes any opportunities to fight against tough opponents and likes ponies that share in her mutual love of battle.

Post-redemption: She is noticeably kinder to those around her but still quite cynical and blunt, especially towards Princess Cadance who she believes represents everything wrong with Equestria. Most importantly she has learned to accept friendship. Still laments her horn but is less bitter and resentful because of it.
