Tree Hugger, AKA Tree Friend, Tree Embrace, Treezie, and The Hugs, to her friends is a totally laid back and mellow earth pony mare. This chill mare has big purple eyes perfect for sensing auras, her vermillion and amaranth tail and mane are styled into nonconformist dreads for resisting the establishment, and her green coat is perfect for blending into nature where she spends a lot of time. On her head is a floral bandana. As a nature lover her cutie mark is a stylized tree with red leaves resembling a heart.
When she’s not camping in the woods doing arts and crafts or protesting deforestation she teaches art classes where she likes to pose for her students. She’s also an active member of the Equestrian Society for the Preservation of Rare Creatures.
Tree Hugger is all about good vibrations, positive auras and being in tune with the universe. Anything that is radical and righteous is groovy in her book. Even if things aren’t radical she doesn’t tend to mind much being so nonjudgemental and forgiving. Even after Discord banished her to another dimension she held no ill will towards him instead just needing some space to get her auras back in alignment.

Off the beaten path in a forest lay a cozy little cottage nestled amongst the trees. Its owner was an easy-going mare who at the moment was awaiting company outside her porch. Drawn in by the good vibes small birds perched atop her back and began their birdsong. Humming softly Tree Hugger joined them, only coming to a stop once her ears picked up on footsteps.
Giving a dopey grin she waved at her guest. “You made it! Righteous.” A quick shake of her barrel got the birds to unperch and fly away back into the trees. “The creatures of the forest dig my groove. They can’t help but come to me ya know?”
Turning around she opened the door to her cottage and gestured to come inside. “Make yourself at home.”

Canterlot Mountain, the most famous mountain in Equestria thanks to the city built into its side. But besides the ivory spires of the castle the mountain also bore lush green forests and streams of fresh water. Among the many tourist destinations was Canterlot National Park known for its many hiking trails.
Which is why Tree Hugger had picked out this particular park for her weekend camping trip. The surprisingly strong earth pony had saddled herself with a big backpack full of camping supplies everything from her tent to emergency healing crystals.
Standing at the entrance to the park Tree Hugger greeted her camping buddy. “Glad you could make it today. You up for a total groovy camping trip?” she asked holding up her hoof for a hoof bump.
