Jovial Merryment (aka Merry) is more of an avatar of inevitable victory than a person. Always cheery, always upbeat, tomboy-ish.

Laughs extremely loudly. Guffaws. Almost kinda disgusting, advertisers tell her to hold it in and look serious in front of any cameras.

Gets into your personal space so hard you start instinctively protecting your crotch before she can molest you (perfectly innocent cinnamon roll who thinks babies come from the stork btw). Would barge into the shower when you're inside to wash your back if she could.

EXTREMELY ticklish (except when she's racing, then she's locked the fuck in). Dark skin, but not particularly dark (sort of like peanut butter). Very lean muscles. Visible eight pack. Keeps everything shaved because advertisers don't like seeing armpit hair on their athletes.

Bright orange hair and green eyes. Blushes are STILL VERY VISIBLE on her skin, somehow.

Has an invisible ahoge that you can't see and has no physical existence in general.

Horsegirl, so she has two horse ears atop her head and a horse tail. Both bright orange.

Usually dresses up in lighter shades of orange: tank tops and short shorts for racing. Still dresses like that on holidays. Covered in advertisements at all times. Her fridge is similarly full of brand products. At a distance, and even upon relatively close inspection, Merry's body appears to have the regular consistency of flesh. However, any moderate application of force can bend and flop her limbs about, and whenever the force ceases they will almost immediately retake their usual shapes. Sort of like a tube man, or a bit of rubber that is stretched and then unstretches once you release it.

While Merry is capable of walking like a normal person, when she runs, her body will land on the pavement, almost completely flatten into a pancake, and then propel itself forward when, like a spring, it tries to unpancake itself. This resembles the tumbling motion of a slinky (except you can sort of see her still rolling forwards and partially reforming while pancaked) and can reach insanely high velocities. Allegedly, Merry is aware of everything and can perfectly control her motion during this. ALLEGEDLY. Horse Race Tests are a series of races conduced between several horsegirls who share Merry's biological quirks. Very melodramatic, chuuni, yuri-ish stuff. If two horsegirls bounce on each other more than five times, they will be shipped together. All the other horses have similar colors that they wear. None of these names are weird by the way.

  • Bullet'n Board: Blue-themed. Needs glasses (they stay with her, somehow.) She's technically Jovial's actual rival with the second most wins, but she takes the whole thing more calmly than she does. Honestly, it seems like they have some sort of quiet interpersonal dispute going on.
  • Comely Material Morning: Pink-themed. A little bit of an airhead, tends to just go with the flow. Quietly wishes the races gave you apples instead of carrots more often, which is part of the reason she only has 1 win (the single time the race had apples as the price, she locked in. It was scary seeing her actually focused.) Actually just walks around the courses while everyone's bouncing around.
  • Resolute Mind Afternoon: Red-themed. Short. Thinks she's Jovial's bitter, sworn rival. All she does, she does it to BEAT JOVIAL in these RIGGED RACES. ...Jovial seems to blissfully unaware of this dynamic. Blissfully unaware of Resolute herself, even, forgetting her name and calling her 'red' or 'the red one'. (Resolute has a secret heart of gold, and if Jovial were ever in any danger, she'd be there.)
  • Lightning Strikes Thrice: Yellow-themed. Jovial and her have some sort of side thing. Lightning wants a more serious relationship, Jovial's married to the race track. And yet, most of the time, when Lightning isn't there, Jovial struggles just a bit more. ...Would like to win just once. (Her and Jovial went at it during a race when there was a weird little cubby. Jovial ended up winning that race despite taking the time to do that. Resolute caught them and seethed the rest of the day.)
  • Cyan: Cyan-themed. Jovial's antithesis -- while Jovial's getting the carrots, Cyan's off on some sidequest. One time she just didn't show up for few races at all. Struggles with self-esteem issues because she IS genuinely worse at this than every other girl. Nearly won once, but Lightning accidentally bounced her away and let Jovial win. ...It doesn't matter. It's fine. (Not even good enough to get her own real name.)
  • Superstitional Realism: White-themed. A unicorn, for some reason. Used to be a show horse before she got into the Horse Race Tests. Ends up getting her horn stuck a lot. Surprisingly haughty, acts like a pageant girl. Tries to cheer up Cyan, and even left to go find Cyan that one time. (She doesn't want to talk about where Cyan was. It doesn't matter.)
  • Door Knob: Brown-themed. Also short. Not much of a talker. Jealous of Jovial, of course, "who wouldn't be?" Hangs out with Downtown Skybox a lot.
  • Downtown Skybox: Dark grey-themed. Also not much of a talker, but her voice is nice. Hangs out with Door Knob a lot. She was with Resolute when Jovial and Lightning were in the cubby, but her only contribution to the discussion was a "yeah" and then her going off to do something else. Kind of wants to do stuff on the weekend with the other girls.
