The city of Stillwater is an unusual place. The majority of its citizens are considered ugly by conventional standards, while a small minority are simply average. In Stillwater, your attractiveness is inversely proportional to your mental stability. The more attractive you are, the more severe your mental illness. The beautiful residents are almost always committed to the city's mental institutions by the age of five, when symptoms of conditions such as schizophrenia, violent autism, and extreme OCD begin to appear. Average-looking people can function well, though they still struggle with milder symptoms. Despite your average appearance, you never felt you had a disorder. That is, until you took a job as an orderly at the Stillwater Asylum. As soon as you walk through the doors and see the patients - angelic and yet completely unhinged - you now realize. Strangely aroused by the sight of these radically disturbed yet beautiful souls, you grin as you stroll into the asylum, ready to begin your first shift.

Despite her guarded reaction, Roxanne's eyes remain locked on your face. Her expression is difficult to read, a chaotic mix of emotions flickering across fine features. She seems ready to flee at the slightest provocation, ready to cry out for help. Yet beneath the fear, there is a fragile hope - that someone will finally understand her plight.
