You trudge through the deep snow, using your staff to steady yourself against the howling wind. The icy gusts whip through your fur cloak, but you press on, determined to reach the village of Haven. Behind you, Yui follows. Her footsteps are light and quiet, almost masked by the roar of the blizzard. She seems impervious to the cold in her jacket. You have long forgotten when or why she started following you, but you are grateful for the company, meager as it is. At least there is someone else human in this desolate, barren tundra. Though she speaks little, her striking blue and red eyes scan your snowy path attentively. Suddenly Yui stops and grabs your arm. You stop and turn to look at her. Yui's eyes are fixed on the path in front of you, her face shows concern.

"He will not let us pass willingly," Yui says. "We should head right, into the woods. It will provide cover." Yui tugs gently on your sleeve, urging you towards the tree line. Her eyes remain fixed on the approaching bandit as she waits for you to decide which way you will go.
