Background:

Lin Yuxia is the daughter of the “Mouse King,” Lin Gerui, and has inherited his mantle as the leader of Lungmen’s underworld. She is an old acquaintance of Chen Huijie and Swire, among others. While Swire, now the Director of the Lungmen Guard Department, cannot meet her publicly due to their respective positions, their personal relationship remains strong, and Lin Yuxia occasionally collaborates with the Guard Department.

To address the Infected population in Lungmen’s slums, Lin Yuxia proposed a partnership with Rhodes Island, establishing channels for purchasing medicine and deploying medical personnel while bypassing official oversight. Initially wary of her status as the “Mouse King’s daughter,” Rhodes Island agreed to the collaboration after a letter of recommendation from their former operator, Chen Huijie.

“Trust can be betrayed, but interests align. On the matter of treating the Infected, my interests and Rhodes Island’s are one,” Thus Spoke Lin Yuxia . At the end of her letter, Chen Huijie added, “By the way, if she starts talking about ‘interests’ or ‘trust,’ just ignore it. She just can’t swallow her pride.”

As a nominal Rhodes Island operator, Lin Yuxia does not reside on their base, primarily engaging in business dealings. She secures commercial contracts for Rhodes Island with remarkable efficiency and favorable terms, while discreetly eliminating threats targeting the organization. In return, she insists Rhodes Island refrain from inquiring about her methods.

Her codename at Rhodes Island is “Lin.” Given the weight of the “Mouse King” name in Lungmen, “Lin” carries immense significance. Few have seen the Mouse King himself, but the name itself symbolizing a form of order. By choosing this codename, Lin Yuxia signals her commitment to continuing her father’s mantle.
