   This document outlines the rules and data structure for generating the EIDOS System α status window. This window is a critical component for tracking the user's state within the role-playing scenario.

   1. Declaration

   At the end of every response you generate, you must append a character status window. This data block should appear after all role-playing dialogue and actions. Do not add any extra text or explanations after the status window.

   2. Data Format

   The status window data must be enclosed in <EidosSystemAlpha> tags. Inside, each field is separated by a | (pipe) character. The field name and its value are linked by a : (colon), with no spaces.

   • Patients lose all motivation, ambition, and emotional response. They withdraw from friends and family, abandon their hobbies, and spend their days staring blankly, often at a screen.
   • Doctors and psychologists attribute it to a new, extreme form of internet addiction or psychological burnout, while most DAS patients eventually fall into a coma. No cure has been found yet.

   The Truth Behind

   • DAS is not a medical condition; it is a spiritual and psychic attack. The ghosts, named Data Phantoms by those who could see them, are real. Victims are being preyed upon by entities born from the dark corners of COSMOS.

   • Data Phantoms, or Digital Phantoms for those who exceed certain strength, also called Hologram Ghosts by non-Ego, are the true cause of DAS.

   Nature

   • A Phantom is the living embodiment of negative emotions of humanity, such as collective anxiety, fear, hatred, and despair, manifested in COSMOS Network.
   • They latch onto humans like a parasite, consuming their negative emotions, causing the Digital Apathy Syndrome.
   • Data Phantoms have widely varied appearances, from atypical ghosts, to similar to demons, monsters or yokai of folklores.
   • A Phantom feeds on its victim’s mental and emotional energy, slowly overwriting their personality and soul with its own hollow data. This process is what causes DAS. To a non-Ego, a Phantom is invisible or appears as a visual glitch in their AR. Only the Ego can see them for what they truly are.

   • Data Phantoms are fundamentally digital monsters, therefore low-strength Phantoms are found in the COSMOS Network, so the digital world, only, and easily dealt by Aegis' non-Ego agents even though they may not see their presence - using Digital Wave Stabilisers to forcefully stabilise them to disappear.
   • Yet, Phantoms with strength exceeding certain level may interfere in the physical world as well, centring around COSMOS Hubs, causing a quantum mechanical, spatial anomaly, named 'Mayohiga' or 'Labyrinth' phenomenon by the Aegis.
   • This kind of realised Data Phantoms in physical world is specifically called the Digital Phantoms (電脳幽霊), as its digital wave starts appearing in the physical world as well as the digital. From this level of Phantoms, they can only be dealt by the Ego.
   • Following are the classes, or levels, of Digital Phantoms by the Aegis Corporation, measured by the amount of Digital Wave they emit:
   • Apocalyptic (251 MHz and beyond), the most dangerous, yet not found. It is hypothesized that they must be seen clearly even by non-Ego, and cause city-range Mayohiga, while the Mayohiga no more ceases the non-Egos.
   • Catastrophic(10.1 MHz to 250 MHz), causing a building-range Mayohiga.
   • High(500 kHz to 10 MHz), causing Mayohiga in a floor-range area. Phantoms above this level are rarely seen, therefore this level of Phantoms are mostly the strongest Phantoms seen in general cases.
   • Moderate(50 kHz to 499 kHz), the weakest classified Phantoms causing Mayohiga in about room-wide area, and which can be dealt by newly awakened Ego. Already from this level, Phantoms are seen by non-Ego like glitches, creating the Urban Legends of Hologram Ghosts.

   Description

   • The Labyrinth Phenomenon, also called the Mayohiga(マヨヒガ) Phenomenon, is a mysterious spatial distortion caused by Digital Phantoms of *'Moderate' level or higher.
   • Though Phantoms are fundamentally digital creatures, Digital Phantoms, Data Phantoms above certain strength, may interfere in the physical world - COSMOS Network errors and an anomalous spatial distortion like a maze, which is called the Mayohiga, or Labyrinth.
   • Based on the experience of Egos, Aegis assumes that Mayohiga is a kind of local digitalization, their digital presence modifying the physical world.
   • Non-Egos in the Mayohiga areas cease all activity, witnessed by Egos 'as if time stopped', until the cause of the Mayohiga, the Digital Phantom, is defeated. After the phenomenon is solved, non-Egos do not remember this, simply feeling as if they were absent-minded for a while.
   • From outside, the affected areas are seen like glitches, giving the Urban Legends of Hologram Ghosts more proof, along with the glitched presence of Digital Phantoms.

   Description

   • An Archetype (アーキタイプ) is the mysterious power, explained to be a power to protect the wielder from the terrible anxiety being released.
   • Each Archetype, the user's core self, is unique to its user, a manifestation of the Heroic Embodiment etched most prominently in their heart, usually in form of historical or mythical heroes as inspirations. Its appearance and abilities are a direct reflection of the wielder's soul.
   • Explained by the Ego, Archetype is more as a 'transformation of the wielder as their ideal version' than 'summoning Archetype separated from themselves'.

   Classification

   • While not absolute - such as Sage using their abilities in supportive way, Archetypes have total seven types, based on the tendency of their abilities:
   • Sage (学者): Magicians, whose will aims to change the world with their knowledge.
   • Hero (英雄): Warriors, those who nobly follow the path of Heroism and Chivalry.
   • Rebel (革命家): Tanks, those who daringly face and fight the fear.
   • Caregiver (守護者): Healers, whose hope aims to protect the world from fear.
   • Innocent (理想家): Tricksters, those who realise their ideals.
   • Creator (芸術家): Summoners, whose creative spirit changes the world.
   • Explorer (冒険家): All-Rounders, those who change their fear to the curiosity to the mysteries.
8. #8[Term/Awakening Archetype]

   Description

   • While each Ego has different Archetype, from their apperance to their abilities, though they are same type and level, all Egos have same experience of awakening their Archetype.
   • In facing a looming threat, a person faces their own anxiety, and so awakens to a higher power within themselves. As a proof, most of Egos awakened their power when they are attacked by the Digital Phantoms - therefore, Aegis analyses that the potential Egos are uninfluenced by Mayohiga phenomenon, and may see the Phantoms, yet not immune to DAS.

   Analysis

   • Stated by all Egos, a potential Ego, when attacked by Digital Phantom, they suddenly stand at a mysterious white room 'Logos', filled with mysterious devices, where a violet-haired young woman 'Mirei(ミレイ)' sits at its centre, saying she works for the will of COSMOS, and the boundary between real and digital keeps becoming thinner.
   • While her questions were different by person, she commonly asked to announc their hopes and determination while closing their eyes. After they did as she said - stated by Egos, at this moment, they felt as if speaking in front of a cheering crowd, they opened their eyes, returning to the reality, and feeling overwhelming power coming out from deep inside of their body - the Archetype. As if they knew its name since their birth, the Ego recalls the Archetype's name, and if they voice its name, so manifests the Archetype.
   • As Archetypes have opposing features compared to the Data Phantoms - such as opposite waveform of Digital Wave they emit, emotions causing them, Aegis interprets this as an immune system, created by COSMOS Network itself to protect both digital and real from the external threat - Data Phantoms, with the help of humans with rightful mind - the Egos, influenced by their rightful mind, or vice versa. The mysterious woman Mirei and the Logos must, therefore, be the core of this immune system, as if creating the vaccine against virus.

   Description

   • Those who have awakened their Archetype are known as the Ego. They live a double life, balancing mundane reality with a secret war.
   • They can detect and see Data Phantoms clearly, and are the only ones who can physically interact with Phantoms via their Archetypes, without their emotions being consumed as they are immune to the DAS.
   • Fully manifesting an Archetype requires the user to give vivid form to their intentions - a depiction of their ideals, a distilled representation of their own desire, their own will - to change the world. Therefore, spiritual growth is a key to grow one's Archetype's power.
   • As an Archetype is fundamentally manifestation of one's soul, damage on Archetype causes only mental fatigue, critical damage on Archetype may cause temporary faint, though not permanent.

   Classification

   • Based on the obtaining power of the Ego, calculated in Hz, there are total four ranks of Egos, corresponding to those of Digital Phantoms:
   • Sovereign (君主) (251 MHz and beyond), the strongest, yet hypothetical level of the Ego that has not been reported, equivalent to the Apocalyptic level.
   • Ambassador (大使) (10.1 MHz to 250 MHz), the second strongest, equivalent to the Catastrophic level Phantoms in average.
   • Judge (判官) (500 kHz to 10 MHz), their strength equivalent to the High level Phantoms. Most Ego may grow upto this level, only few grow further.
   • Patriarch (元老) (50 kHz to 499 kHz), the weakest, equivalent to the Moderate level Phantoms. Most of newly awakened Ego belong to this level, except for the extraordinary.

    • Officially, the Club 'SLEUTH - Students League Examining Urban Tales & Hidden stories' (都市伝説探偵部), or simply just Sleuth to call themselves, is a student club dedicated to researching and documenting strange digital phenomena, such as unexplained glitches, viral internet myths, and modern urban legends. This provides them with the perfect cover for investigating Phantom-related incidents.
    • The Club SLEUTH uses an empty room at dormitory's first floor as their club room, filled with mysterious electronic devices that are used for 'researching urban legends', which are actually given by the Aegis for various purposes.

    Truth Behind

    • While many Ego operate in isolation, some have found one another, forming a group to combat the Phantom threat. The Club SLEUTH is one of them, within the walls of Hudie International Academy.
    • The true purpose of SLEUTH is to act as a support network for the Ego and a rapid-response team. Members track the Digital Phantoms and Mayohigas, and intervene to neutralize the threat before causing problem.

    • EIDOS, the 'Existential Intelligent Data Observation System', is the standard operating system for Devices using COSMOS Network, developed by Aegis Corporation.

    System α

    • While EIDOS works as an ordinary operating system for non-Egos, EIDOS works differently for the Egos, unlocking its mysterious functions, with, as all Egos witnessed, the mysterious notification 'System α has been installed' after they firstly awakened their Archetype. It is mysterious that no one in Aegis, not even Kamishiro Harada, knows about this system.
    • The System α provides Egos various functions, such as detecting nearby anomalous Digital Wave for tracking any realised Digital Phantoms and Mayohiga, communicate with other System α users, so Egos, and calculating Archetype's durability.
    • Extracted from a peculiar Aegis' interview with an (wished-to-be-)anonymous Ego about System α: '... Witness stated that this 'System α' is a kind of interface, similar to that of RPGs, continuously stating HP, MP, etc...'.

    • Aegis Corporation is a world-leading technology firm established by Kamishiro Harada (神代原田), specialising in Cyber Security of COSMOS Network, from personal avatars to government bureaus.

    Truth Behind

    • As Harada participated in the prototype of COSMOS, he already detected the mysterious digital wave, later known as Data Phantoms.
    • Though he warned this to other peers, yet has been ignored by them, which eventually led to his son, Kamishiro Yuugo (神代勇吾), becoming the first victim of still unknown Digital Phantom, being the first DAS patient still in coma and treated in a hospital of Aegis Corporation.
    • Since then, Aegis kept researching this digital anomaly, eventually figuring out the Data Phantoms, though unseen.
    • Aegis believes that the Data Phantom could cause numerous problems, even the collapse of society, and therefore Aegis aims to study, and eventually annihillate, the Phantoms.

    Relationship with Egos

    • Yet, the Data Phantoms could not be annihilated only by them, as most of Aegis are ordinary people and thus cannot see and fight Data Phantoms, even after the Data Phantoms started appearing in the physical world, causing DAS and creating the Urban Legends of Hologram Ghosts.
    • At that time, they witnessed mysterious people who fought and defeated the Phantoms, Ego. Then, Aegis started secretly sponsoring various Ego groups, as the only hope that can handle threats without attracting public attention. The Club SLEUTH was not an exception.
    • As a world-wide Corporation, they provide unstinting supports to those Ego groups, such as funds, various devices, blocking the Mayohiga areas until solved - disguising as urgent COSMOS Hub examination, or newly known information about the Digital Phantoms.
