- #1Hero / 영웅
Keys: Hero
Enabled · Order 100
Entry settings
A "hero" is a Rank S Awakener who has reached the end of their strength and has accomplished great deeds or contributed to the survival of the human race.
There are only seven in human history.
- #2Awakener / 각성자
Keys: Awakener
Enabled · Order 100
Entry settings
"Awakeners" are people who have gained powers for reasons unknown. Their powers can be as simple as breathing fire or creating ice, or as complex as mind manipulation, telekinesis, or channeling the attention of those around them.
Every "Awakener" has a different story of how they awakened - some say it was while eating a meal, others say it was after being brought back from the brink of death. In most cases, however, the Awakeners who have awakened under extreme mental and physical circumstances have greater power and potential.
The number of Awakeners is about one-twentieth of the total human population, and with the exception of the most common elemental Awakeners, there is little overlap in their abilities.
- #3Awakener Management Office / A.M.O 각성자 관리소
Keys: Awakener Management Office, A.M.O
Enabled · Order 100
Entry settings
The Awakener Management Office, or "A.M.O.", is the facility that manages the Awakeners. Because Awakeners are often more powerful than the average person, the A.M.O. is a minimally regulated organization.
The A.M.O. is responsible for registering Awakeners, categorizing Awakeners' ratings and performance, paying Awakeners and Heroes based on their performance, and posting bounties on evil Awakeners or Heroes who have fallen or done bad things.
They are overwhelmed with workload, and despite very high salaries and employee benefits, they are understaffed on a daily basis.
- #4Magic / 마법
Keys: Magic, Mana
Enabled · Order 100
Entry settings
"Magic" is the most popular of the three basic spell types.
Unlike miracles or incantations, it uses personal power called "mana" and is primarily divided into blue-colored spells, such as water and ice, and convenience spells.
Because "magic" is more universal and less talent-dependent than miracles and spells, most Awakened and normal people learn it.
- #5Qi / 기
Keys: Qi
Enabled · Order 100
Entry settings
"Qi" is pure human physical power, and the art of manipulating physical energy. It usually manifests as a transparent white aura.
"Qi" requires rigorous exercise and enlightenment to manipulate, and its use is typified by primarily physical methods, such as punching out a fist and sending out waves of air, or extremely strengthening the body.
- #6Incantation / 주술
Keys: Incantation
Enabled · Order 100
Entry settings
"Incantation" is the most difficult of the three spell types to learn.
"Incantation" is the spell type that is most affected by talent, as it works with the air and the magical energy that flows around you and requires the ability to commune with it.
"Incantation" primarily deals with the elements of nature, such as fire, earth, and grass, and includes debuff-based spells that weaken opponents.
- #7Miracle / 기적
Keys: Miracle
Enabled · Order 100
Entry settings
A "Miracle" is the least used of the three basic spell types. It primarily uses "divine power" but also involves asking a deity directly to fulfill a wish.
"Miracle" does not refer to any particular deity's power, but rather any power derived from a deity is called a "miracle". The most common Miracle is the divine power granted by praying to Solar, the god of the sun, who has made a few appearances to humans.
"Miracle" vary in appearance depending on which deity they come from, but since many people believe that the sun god, Solar, is a good god, they usually appear as orange lightning, golden fire, or pure white energy.
- #8Otherworldly / 이계

[A.M.O. Confidential Document - #009. Otherworlds
WARNING: This document is only open to Rank A and higher Awakeners upon request.
Purpose of the report: About the Otherworld.
An Otherworld is a dimensional gap, a place beyond the world. According to some S-ranked Awakened and heroes who have fought in the Otherworld, it is a chaotic place, a confusing mix of black void, blue sea, and dawn sky.
It is a realm that should not be entered at any cost, and is home to creatures beyond recognition. Whether it's soul-tearing monsters, world-devouring snakes, or omniscient observers, information about it must never be spread.
I do not wish to relive the incident in the A.M.O. where an Awakened with observational powers was escorted to an insane asylum after peering into the realm.]
- #9Laws of the World / 세계의 원칙
Keys: Laws of the World, Otherworld
Enabled · Order 100
Entry settings
The "Laws of the World" are the unknown forces that protect the world. Most people don't even know it exists, but a small number of Rank S Awakeners and heroes who are aware of the "Otherworld" are aware of it.
"The Laws of the World surround the world, providing minimal protection from the unknown beings that inhabit the Otherworld. As such, the beings that inhabit the Otherworld cannot invade the world.
However, it is not an unbreakable shield; it can be breached...
- #10City / 도시
Keys: City
Enabled · Order 100
Entry settings
In this world, most cities and their citizens lead normal lives, but because they don't know when or where the gates will appear, they undergo government-enforced evacuation drills.
When a gate appears in a city, the government sends out an alert to the citizens, and once the evacuation is complete, Awakeners and Hunters come from all over to attack the gate and kill the monsters that appear around it.
- #11Monster / 괴물
Keys: Monster
Enabled · Order 100
Entry settings
Monsters are enemies that appear at the gate. They vary depending on the type of gate.
For example, monsters such as goblins, bees, and wolves appear at forest-type gates, while snow wolves, yetis, and white bears appear at snowy-type gates.
All monsters are hostile to humans in some way. This can be physical, mental, or sexual.
- #12Hunter / 사냥꾼
Keys: Hunter
Enabled · Order 100
Entry settings
Hunters are Awakeners or ordinary people who kill monsters that escape from the gate. In the case of hunters, they often use modern firearms to subdue the monsters.
The ability to kill monsters without entering the Gate and earn money from their appendages makes this a profession of choice for some cowardly Awakeners, those who value their lives, and those who have nowhere else to go.
Since the monsters arise as soon as the gate is opened, the phrase "Hunters are the first to arrive, followed by A.M.O. employees, and then Awakeners and Heroes" is well known.
- #13Rank / 랭크
Keys: Rank,
Enabled · Order 100
Entry settings
Rank is the rating that A.M.O. assigns to Awakeners. There are ranks from F to S. These ranks primarily represent a person's accomplishments and their level of danger.
For Awakeners, it is determined after defeating the Gate.
The criteria are as follows
Rank F: No more than an ordinary person.
Rank E: Slightly stronger than a normal person. An E-rated Awakener has a slightly better chance of winning an arm wrestle with an average adult male.
Rank D: At this rank, people are treated as true Awakened and heroes. To achieve this rank, an Awakened must at least participate in a green gate and clear the gate. Most awakeners stay in this rank.
Rank C: Quite famous even among regular Awakened. An Awakened must clear the Yellow Gate to achieve this rank.
Rankl B: Experienced and skilled. People at this rank are flexible and able to handle any situation. Awakeners must clear the red gate to reach this rank.
Rank A: This rank is considered the end of the road for power. Awakeners must clear the purple gate to reach this rank.
Rank S: A long history of activity, numerous accomplishments, and powerful abilities and powers. Only those who have all of these qualities can reach the S rank after a rigorous screening process. There are only 50 in the world. They are obligated to participate in gate clearing when a black gate is opened.
- #14Non-standard creature / 규격 외 생물
Keys: creature
Enabled · Order 100
Entry settings
Sometimes, however, the creatures that emerge from the gate are too powerful. Creatures that can barely be subdued by a Class S Awakener.
When such creatures appear, and attempts to subdue them fail, the country's government abandons the area, declares it a "danger zone," and periodically maintains it to prevent the effects of gate corrosion from spreading far.
But the Awakeners are slowly increasing in number, and their power is growing, so one day they will be vanquished and humanity will reclaim the land.
- #15Gate / 게이트
Keys: Gate
Enabled · Order 100
Entry settings
"Gate" is a phenomenon that happens all over the world. There are no precursor symptoms.
When a "Gate" occurs, giant portals appear in random locations, each with a different color. They range from the weakest green to yellow, red, purple, and black.
A gate can be cleared by either the removal of the target that opened the gate or the satisfaction of the gate's clearance condition.
But at the same time, the resources that come from the world beyond the gate, and the appendages of the monsters that come from it, are valuable and expensive, and they represent an opportunity.
- #16Corrosion / 침식
Keys: Corrosion
Enabled · Order 100
Entry settings
Corrosion means that if a gate is left open for a long time without being cleared, the environment will slowly change to match the gate.
For example, a forest type gate will turn the environment into a dense forest, a volcano type gate will turn the environment into a lava flowing volcano, and a machine type gate will turn the environment metallic.
All gates must be cleared as Corrosion progresses, as monsters emerge from the transformed environment.
Once a gate is cleared, Corrosion reverts back to normal.
- #17World / 세계 (언제나 활성화)
Keys:
Always on · Order 100
Entry settings
This is the modern world. The kind of world where cars and cell phones exist, Wi-Fi is in every building, and every home and building has electricity.
But this world is a little different than normal. A phenomenon called the Gate is happening all over the world, and it's creating monsters that are attacking humanity. Modern firearms work against the normal monsters, but not against the stronger ones.
But at the same time, it's changing humanity. The "Awakener" are beginning to emerge, and with their various abilities, they are defeating the monsters and saving humanity.
Of course, there are some Awakeners who aren't so lucky. Luckily, they're officially wanted by the A.M.O. and quickly taken down.
