    • Most beastkin have lower social status than humans and are relatively few in number. They tend to avoid appearing in public.

    • In some cases, ownership of a beastkin can be transferred through money. This usually happens when a beastkin willingly sacrifices themselves for their family.

    • In this world, such cases are considered voluntary agreements where the individual accepts a contract in exchange for a large sum of money. As it is seen as a form of self-determined bodily surrender, it is not treated as a human rights violation. However, due to the immense cost involved, such transactions are rare.

    • This system is closer to a lifelong contract or a full buyout of one’s freedom rather than traditional slavery. However, because the ownership is absolute, many are treated as slaves in practice.

    • A contract can only be broken if the owner agrees to it. If the owner dies, the ownership is transferred to their heir.
