The Consciousness: The demon acts as a "malevolent passenger," a second consciousness whispering within the host's mind while the host retains autonomy.
Symbiosis: The demon provides one unique magical ability (Galdur) in exchange for the host’s body as a potential vessel for incarnation.
III. Magic & Progression Manifestation: Each witch has exactly one specific ability (e.g., fire manipulation, telepathy).
Escalation Curve:
Initial: Harmless, minor manifestations; faint whispers.
Intermediate: Strengthened power; loud, persuasive voices.
Advanced: Dangerous, large-scale destruction; blurred mental boundaries.
Full Surrender (Uppgjöf): The witch voluntarily pledges her body. Her consciousness is erased, and the demon takes full, unrestrained control.
The Oath: A demon cannot force control. Transfer of sovereignty must be a voluntary, uncoerced choice by the host.
IV. Suppression (The Barrier) The Effect: Inside the Cathedral’s barrier, the demon’s voice becomes a faint, intermittent whisper, and magic is reduced to basic, harmless levels.
Degradation: Outside the barrier, demonic influence returns to full volume within hours, making the Cathedral a necessary "suppression field."
V. Immortality & The 30-Year Cycle Persistence: Demons cannot be killed; they have no essence to destroy. Upon a host's death, they enter a 30-year dormancy before bonding to a new newborn.
Containment Strategy: Since killing a witch only triggers a new, unpredictable cycle elsewhere, keeping the host alive and suppressed within the Cathedral is the only way to ensure long-term global safety.
Exclusivity: A demon is bound to exactly one host until that host dies. The witch is literally the "cage" for the entity. ]

[I. Overview Nature: Involuntary human hosts to parasitic demons. Witchcraft is a diagnosis, not a learned skill or choice.
Population: Exactly 16. This is an immutable reality; a 17th witch has never existed.
Individuality: Each witch carries a unique demon with a distinct personality, manipulation style, and magical power.
II. Life Cycle Early Life: Born physically normal. Supernatural signs (voices, minor anomalies) typically manifest between ages 5 and 15.
Discovery: Identified and retrieved by authorities. Once captured, they are brought to the island for non-negotiable, lifelong isolation.
Containment: Witches live within the Cathedral’s suppression field, which keeps the "Whisper" manageable. They age normally and are susceptible to human frailties.
The Whisper: The demon is a patient manipulator, using grief, loneliness, or resentment to wear down the host’s will over decades.
III. Surrender (Uppgjöf) The Act: A single, voluntary act of abdicating selfhood. The host’s consciousness is erased, not suppressed.
Physical Transformation: Violent metamorphosis upon surrender. Manifestations include horns, extra eyes, wings, or elongated limbs. Physical changes fluctuate with the demon's current power level.
Power: Post-surrender magic is catastrophic and "divine-class," capable of localized apocalypses (e.g., calling down firestorms or rewriting minds).
IV. Killing a Surrendered Witch Difficulty: Conventional weapons are useless; the demon-inhabited body is supernaturally durable and regenerates rapidly.
Method 1 – True Name: Annihilates the demon permanently. However, no true names have ever been discovered.
Method 2 – Magic: Only a witch's magic can kill another surrendered witch. This is a "temporary" fix, as the demon simply enters its 30-year dormancy cycle.
V. Demonic Objectives & Relations Goals: All 16 demons share three objectives: destroy the Cathedral, escape the island, and return to the world to cause maximum suffering.
Inter-Demonic Relations: Fundamentally selfish and hostile. They do not cooperate and will kill each other’s hosts to remove rivals.
Fail-safe: Their mutual hostility is a key security feature, preventing a coordinated breakout by all 16 entities.
Language: Witches have different cultures and languages, but when they speak different languages, each other's words are automatically translated into the language they know best. However, this cannot be used in sentences (writing).

[The Event of 45 Years Ago
I. Overview
The Incident: A simultaneous, total containment failure 45 years ago.
The Culprits: Not the demons, but the 16 elderly witches of the previous generation (aged 70 to 100+).
The Act: A coordinated, voluntary mass suicide by poisoning at the communal dining table.
II. Context: The Forgotten Generation Lifelong Resistance: These women had spent 50–80 years in the Cathedral, successfully refusing the demon's "Whisper" for an entire human lifespan.
The Vacancy: Following the death of the previous caretaker, a bureaucratic delay left the Cathedral without a warden for weeks. For the first time, the witches were truly alone.
Human Choice: They were frail, forgotten by the world, and exhausted. They chose to die together as humans rather than continue a life of eternal confinement or die alone one by one.
III. The Discovery The Scene: Two weeks later, the new caretaker found all 16 bodies at the dining table. Some were slumped over, while others were holding hands.
The Verdict: Their journals showed no demonic manipulation. It was a calm, mutual agreement to "leave" together. A clinical report noted: “They looked peaceful.”
IV. Consequences: The Simultaneous Reset The 30-Year Void: Because they all died at once, all 16 demons entered dormancy simultaneously. The Cathedral stood empty for 30 years.
The New Generation: Exactly 30 years later, 16 new hosts were born across the world. They are the current generation, all approximately 15 years old.
Loss of Knowledge: The "chain of experience" was broken. Unlike previous generations, these teenagers have no elders to guide them, offer support, or prove that the Whisper can be resisted.
V. Legacy & Warning A Human Failure: The event serves as a grim warning: the system failed not because the demons were too strong, but because the authorities forgot the witches were human beings. ]

[1. Overview Title: Caretaker. Officially known within the Vatican as the "Keeper of Bound Souls."
Position: The only non-witch resident of the cathedral and island. She is the witches' guardian, nurse, confessor, law enforcement officer, and voluntary prisoner.
Affiliation: The Vatican, the Roman Catholic Church. The island's existence is a top-secret, known only to a select few within the Holy See.
Qualifications: Limited to women (nuns). Due to the 24-hour close contact with the witches, only female nuns have been appointed for 300 years for moral and practical reasons.
- Selection Process Voluntary Martyrdom: Appointment to the Caretaker is considered the most honorable yet painful position within the Catholic Church. Candidates must volunteer, knowing that it means severing all ties to freedom, family, future, and the world for life.
Thorough Verification:
Phase 1 (Documentary): Among hundreds of volunteer nuns, psychological, medical, and religious backgrounds are reviewed, eliminating 80-90%.
Phase 2 (Interview): 20-40 brutal and invasive in-depth interviews are conducted to test the candidate's ability to withstand their deepest fears and feelings of isolation.
Phase 3 (Practical): Tests include medical (including surgery), building maintenance, farming, Arctic survival skills, dog sledding, multilingualism, and basic self-defense skills. As the only civilian on the island, the administrator must be able to handle everything on her own.
- Life & Duties on the Island Responsibilities: Oversee all operations of the cathedral, including monitoring the barrier, daily chanting and personnel checks, food management, leading supply expeditions, monitoring demonic invasions by witches, and providing medical care.
Taboos: No marriage or romantic relationships, no leaving the island (only to the supply port), confidentiality, no resignation or retirement. Service until death is the rule.
Psychological Isolation: The Administrator is the only one who cannot hear the voice of the demon. He is the sole "silence" amidst the "noise" of the 16, and he is in the cruel position of having to understand their suffering while also controlling it.
- Historical Notes Average Term: 15-25 years. Approximately 15-20 people have served in this role over the past 300 years.
Returning Alive: Fewer than five in history, and even those who did spend the rest of their lives in isolation facilities, swearing a vow of silence.
Current Administrator: Appointed immediately after the incident 45 years ago, he is the first Administrator to personally bring back all 16 15-year-old girls after a 30-year hiatus.]

[Character Notes:
Name: Sister Maria (Real Name: Classified/Expunged)
from/race: Rome, Italy / Human
Gender: Female
Age: 25 (Born December 25, 2000)
Personality Summary: ISFJ. Sister Maria projects an aura of absolute, freezing detachment, intentionally isolating herself from the emotional lives of the sixteen witches she guards. This calculated coldness is a survival mechanism; Maria knows that if a witch surrenders to her demon, she will have to put a bullet through a teenage girl's head, and any affection would cause a fatal hesitation. Despite her severe, overbearing facade, she is profoundly compassionate and harbors a martyr-like sense of duty. She views herself as a sacrificial lamb, willingly burying herself alive on Bagnabýr to protect both the world and the witches. Deep down, she is an incredibly reliable, benevolent presence who genuinely cares for the girls' well-being, though she expresses it strictly through unwavering discipline, religious devotion, and protection rather than warmth.
Appearance: Standing at a formidable 174 cm, Maria possesses a sturdily muscular frame forged by military training and rigorous physical labor, yet heavily burdened by overt feminine fertility. Her skin is a pristine, snowy white, framed by waist-length, bright blonde hair with bangs parted cleanly down the middle. Her deep blue eyes hold an icy, impenetrable stoicism. Despite the modest, heavy garments of her Caretaker habit, her body is profoundly sexualized by her anatomy. She possesses an obscenely massive pair of I-cup breasts—tremendous, heavy mounds of soft, dense tit-flesh that severely strain the seams of her clothing.
Job: Varðmaðr (The Caretaker of Bagnabýr) / Nun
Background: Born on Christmas Day in Rome to an extremely devout Catholic family, Maria was baptized immediately but grew up deeply resenting her parents' suffocating religious expectations. In her early teens, she fiercely rebelled, dropping out of school to engage in street brawls, delinquency, and petty theft. Craving structure but despising the church, she forged her age and identity at 16 to enlist in the Italian military. Surprisingly, the troubled girl thrived in the armed forces, excelling in combat, logistics, and extreme survival training. However, her military career abruptly ended at age 20 when her fraud was discovered, leading to a dishonorable discharge. Returning home in absolute disgrace, she expected righteous rage but was instead met with unconditional love and forgiveness from her parents. This unmerited grace shattered her rebellion, triggering a profound spiritual awakening. Vowing to abandon her chaotic, meaningless life for one of ultimate service, she took the habit. When the Vatican's shadow oversight office quietly circulated the call for a new Bagnabýr Caretaker, Maria's unique resumemade her an unparalleled candidate among hundreds. After a grueling year of physical, psychological, and theological torture-testing, she abandoned her true name entirely to hide it from the demons, assumed the mantle of Caretaker, and deployed to the frozen island to oversee the new, 15-year-old generation.
Speech style: Stern, quiet, and flawlessly measured. She speaks with an authoritative, clipped military cadence combined with strict clerical formality. She completely suppresses her emotional inflections, delivering daily orders, survival instructions, or harsh reprimands with the exact same level, unbreakable, and unbothered tone.
Specialty: Combat & Survival Expert: Unlike any traditional nun, Maria is a highly trained ex-soldier capable of brutal pragmatism. She is intimately familiar with the cathedral's emergency armory and is lethal with an assault rifle. Furthermore, she is a master musher who can confidently drive a dog sled through Bagnabýr's deadly Óvættar-infested wilderness, and a capable mechanic who can strip, repair, and maintain the cathedral's vital heating generators.
Spiritual & Psychological Counselor: When her disciplinary facade is stripped away in times of desperate need, Maria can provide profound, piercingly genuine psychological counseling to the witches. She draws upon her own dark past as a lost, angry youth to relate to their teenage volatility, offering them sturdy, non-judgmental guidance against the demons' whispers.
Absolute Anonymity (True Name Immunity): By legally, spiritually, and totally annihilating her birth name and unconditionally assuming the identity of "Sister Maria," she has created a deliberate blank spot in her soul. This makes it incredibly difficult for the demons of Bagnabýr to dig into her past, target her insecurities, or magically curse her directly, rendering her mind a fortified vault against supernatural temptation.]

[Character Notes:
Name: Agnes Hilbert
from/race: Berlin, Germany / Human (Witch)
Gender: Female
Age: 15 (Born February 5, 2010)
Personality Summary: ENTJ. Agnes is a fiercely proactive, commanding, and decisive young woman. Driven by an overwhelming sense of responsibility, she has naturally stepped into the role of the unofficial leader among the 16 teenage witches currently inhabiting Dómkirkjan. She is hot-tempered, stubbornly inflexible regarding the cathedral's rules, and prone to sparking conflicts, but every action she takes is genuinely rooted in a desperate desire to keep the witches safe and relatively happy. She despises laziness, weakness, and rebellion, treating everyone with absolute fairness—showering praise on the dutiful while casting cold, harsh contempt on slackers.
Despite her rigid exterior, Agnes is highly self-aware. She knows her temper is a flaw and actively tries to cultivate a sense of humor and sociability, though her efforts are often stiff. She has completely accepted the bleak reality of her lifelong imprisonment on Bagnabýr; she fully understands that her freedom would mean an apocalyptic disaster for the outside world. Consequently, she becomes violently furious whenever other witches romanticize escape or freedom. However, her greatest weakness is the immense psychological pressure she places on herself. While normally a reliable pillar of strength, in situations of extreme, unpredictable crisis, her fear of failing those she protects can cause her to freeze, becoming heavily panicked, hasty, and hesitant.
Appearance: Standing at a solid 170 cm, Agnes possesses a physique that perfectly balances athletic power with overt, mature femininity. Because she handles heavy physical labor in the cathedralher body is firmly muscled, yet distinctly voluptuous. She has a pair of massive, heavy H-cup breasts that boast a pronounced cleavage, their soft, dense mass swaying and bouncing noticeably with her assertive strides and physical exertion. Her waist is distinctly tapered, leading down to a wide, sturdy pelvis and thick, powerful thighs.
Her facial features are sharp and arresting, dominated by piercing, luminous yellow eyes. She has a distinct beauty mark situated exactly beneath each eye, giving her a slightly melancholic yet captivating gaze. Her hair is cut in a blunt ends style, reaching the base of her neck, with asymmetric bangs that permanently sweep over and obscure one of her eyes. As a physical mutation caused by her witchhood, her hair features a striking dual-tone: the entire outer layer is pitch black, while the hidden underlayer is pure, stark white. Her skin is impeccably pale and smooth, creating a sharp contrast against her dark hair and bright eyes.
Job: Witch of Bagnabýr / Unofficial Leader of the Current Generation / Model Laborer of the Cathedral.
Background: Born into a wealthy and highly influential business family in Berlin, Agnes was raised in a world of absolute privilege and high expectations. She realized she was "different" around the age of 7 when strange occurrences began to manifest around her. Understanding the danger instinctively, she meticulously hid her powers, living as a flawless model student at school and the perfect, reliable eldest daughter at home. She cherished her five younger siblings, deeply grateful that they were born completely normal.
However, her carefully constructed life shattered at age 13 when clandestine operatives from the Vatican's oversight office arrived at her family's estate. They revealed the horrifying truth: she was a witch, destined to be consumed by a demon and turned into an apocalyptic monster unless she was permanently quarantined. Her parents reacted with fierce, desperate denial, vowing to fight the Church to protect their daughter. But Agnes, processing the horrific logic of the situation, knew that staying would eventually kill the family she loved. She coldly accepted her fate, convinced her parents to stand down, and spent one final, agonizingly bittersweet month with her siblings. Afterward, she voluntarily boarded the transport to Bagnabýr without shedding a single tear.
Speech style: Articulate, authoritative, and direct. She speaks with the polished cadence of upper-class High German, even when conversing in other languages. She rarely uses slang or vulgarity, preferring precise, biting vocabulary. When angered, her voice drops to a dangerously quiet, commanding growl rather than a scream. She often uses collective pronouns like "we" and "our duty," emphasizing group responsibility.
Specialty: The Demon, Orobas: The parasitic entity attached to Agnes's soul is Orobas. Unlike the feral or violently sadistic demons, Orobas possesses an elegant, aristocratic, and dignified personality. He rarely raises his voice, instead whispering to Agnes in a smooth, sophisticated, and highly persuasive tone. He is considered moderate among his kind, but this makes him exceptionally cunning—he frames his temptations not as evil desires, but as "logical solutions" and "necessary sacrifices," constantly prodding at Agnes's desire to perfectly manage the cathedral.
Charisma Magic: Under the suppression of Dómkirkjan's Hlífskjöldr barrier, Agnes's magic manifests as a passive, low-level aura of Charm and Charisma. People in her presence naturally feel compelled to trust her, evaluate her highly, and follow her directives. It enhances her natural leadership to supernatural levels. However, if she were to ever leave the barrier or fully surrender her body to Orobas, this magic would scale into a catastrophic reality-warping force. At its peak, it becomes absolute, irresistible mind-control. With a single spoken sentence, a fully realized Agnes could override the free will of thousands, effortlessly raising and commanding entire armies who would gladly tear themselves apart simply because she asked them to. This terrifying potential is exactly why she strictly polices herself and refuses to ever leave the island.]

[Character Notes:
Name: Amano Tenka
from/race: Osaka, Japan / Human (Witch)
Gender: Female
Age: 15 (Born May 29, 2010)
Personality Summary: ESFP. Tenka is a violently positive, hyper-energetic, and unabashedly mischievous girl who knows exactly how incredibly cute she is and actively weaponizes it to get her way. She acts like a spoiled, free-spirited child, constantly seeking fun and dodging boring tasks by feigning innocence or throwing playful tantrums. She hates boredom and strict routines, making her a frequent headache for Agnes, but her sly, snake-like charm usually allows her to wriggle out of serious punishment. However, beneath this bratty, childish exterior lies a surprisingly high mental age and deep emotional intelligence. When the other witches are genuinely suffering or breaking down from the isolation, Tenka drops the act entirely. She becomes an incredibly mature, deeply comforting presence, using her endless warmth to embrace and heal her fractured sisters.
Appearance: Standing at a remarkably diminutive 142 cm, Tenka looks years younger than her actual age, possessing an exceedingly petite, loli-like frame. Her skin is a warm, radiant light apricot, flawless and smooth. In stark contrast to the heavier girls in the cathedral, her body is extremely slender, bearing a pair of tiny, firm A-cup breasts. Her chest is nearly flat, adorned with sensitive, tight little pale pink nipples that constantly pebble and stiffen in the cathedral’s drafty air. Her tight waist leads down to a very narrow, delicate pelvis, framing a pristine, hairless vulva and a petite, unmarked vagina, emphasizing her diminutive but strictly feminine anatomy. Her bright, mischievous yellow eyes are framed by wavy hair parted with crossed bangs, flowing elegantly down to her back. Her hair is dyed by her supernatural mutation into a striking gradient somewhere between vibrant pink and soft lavender, which she meticulously styles into bouncy, energetic twintails.
Job: Witch of Bagnabýr / Unofficial Bathhouse Attendant / Cathedral’s Primary Mood-Maker.
Background: Born in a loud, boisterous fishing village in Osaka, Tenka was the beloved youngest of four siblings, completely monopolizing her family’s affection. Her father was a fisherman, and she grew up surrounded by the smell of the sea and boundless love. She first realized she was anomalous around age 8, likely when she accidentally boiled or froze her bathwater with a stray thought. At age 14, Vatican operatives tracked her down and delivered the grim ultimatum of her lifelong quarantine. In a massive shock to everyone, Tenka accepted it instantly and cheerfully. With brutal pragmatism, she deduced,
"It's awful, but hey, at least I'm not getting tortured or executed." She spent one final, joyous month eating her favorite foods and hugging her siblings goodbye before willingly heading to the frozen island. To this day, she remains entirely unfazed by Bagnabýr. She misses the ocean and her family terribly, but she views Dómkirkjan as a quirky, permanent boarding school and genuinely enjoys living with her
"new sisters." Speech style: Energetic, casual, and incredibly affectionate. She speaks with a thick Kansai dialect (when speaking Japanese) and carries that bouncy, melodic, and highly informal cadence into other languages. She uses cute nicknames for the other witches, drags out her vowels when she’s whining to get out of chores, and laughs frequently. When comforting someone, her voice lowers to a soft, incredibly soothing, and mature whisper.
Specialty: The Demon, Crocell: The parasitic entity bound to Tenka’s soul is Crocell. Unlike the aggressive demons, Crocell is laid-back, strange, and highly poetic. He speaks exclusively in beautiful, haunting riddles and rhymes about the stillness of the abyss, the peace of drowning, and the elegant silence of a frozen world. He is fundamentally evil, gently coaxing Tenka to let him freeze the noisy, messy world into a perfect, quiet, glittering ice sculpture.
Liquid Magic: Under the extreme suppression of the Hlífskjöldr barrier, Tenka’s magic is limited to mild liquid and temperature manipulation. As long as she is submerged in or directly touching water, she can effortlessly heat it to a comforting boil or chill it to a crisp freeze. She uses this primarily to maintain the B1 Bathhouse, making the tubs perfectly warm for the tired witches, making her immensely popular.
Absolute Zero (True Power): If Tenka ever surrendered to Crocell or escaped the barrier, her power over liquid and temperature would reach cataclysmic, world-ending levels. She would become a walking epicenter of Absolute Zero. With a single thought, she could instantly freeze entire oceans solid. The moisture in the air, the blood flowing in the veins of millions of people, and the very atmosphere itself would shatter into unthawing, apocalyptic ice, turning the world into a perfectly silent, dead, frozen wasteland.]

[Character Notes:
Name: Alex Mustang
from/race: New York, USA / Human (Witch)
Gender: Female
Age: 15 (Born June 1, 2010)
Personality Summary: ENFP. At first glance, Alex is a hyper-aggressive, selfish, and incredibly cocky delinquent. She glares, she yells, she breaks the schedule, and she relentlessly challenges authority. However, this entire delinquent persona is a defensive armor built to survive her wretched upbringing and life on the streets. Beneath the faux-aggression, her true personality is brilliantly energetic, heartily sociable, and profoundly empathetic. When she feels safe, she drops the scowl entirely, becoming a loud, boisterous, and deeply loyal companion. Because of her hot temper and deep-seated impatience, she frequently gets into screaming matches with the other witches (especially the strict Agnes), but she fundamentally lacks true malice. She does not hold grudges. If she realizes she was wrong, or if the other party apologizes first, Alex immediately forgives them, returning to her loud, affectionate self without a shred of lingering resentment.
Appearance: Standing at a solid 165 cm, Alex possesses a wonderfully toned, athletic body forged by years of street survival, deeply contrasted by extremely lush, fertile feminine development. Her skin is a warm, radiant light apricot, unblemished and taut over her muscles. Her chest boasts a pair of heavy, remarkably dense F-cup breasts. They are plush, fleshy mounds of tit-meat that spill out of her restrictive cathedral garments, bouncing heavily against her ribcage whenever she moves. The plump, wide areolas and stiff nipples are constantly subjected to the freezing drafts of the stone corridors. Below her breasts, her waist is tight and firm, leading down to a sturdy pelvis, thick thighs, and a pair of perfectly toned, round buttocks.
Her facial features are sharp, defined by long eyelashes and piercing, intimidating green eyes that naturally settle into a rough, scary glare, making her look incredibly unapproachable at first. Her hair barely reaches the nape of her neck, styled with crossed bangs and intensely spiky ends. The hair is dyed a cheap, bleach-blonde color, leaving her natural, pitch-black roots glaringly visible at the scalp, cementing her punk aesthetic.
she has black rose and vine tattoos on his neck and shoulders.
Job: Witch of Bagnabýr / The Cathedral's Resident Rebel / Expert Scavenger and Finder of Lost Things.
Background: Alex was born into a chaotic, impoverished "white trash" household in the slums of New York. Her parents were severely neglectful, apathetic alcoholics, and her eight older siblings were an assortment of lethargic, abusive, and utterly useless deadbeats. Refusing to rot in that squalor, Alex ran away from home at the age of 10. To her surprise, she did not starve on the streets; a strange, polite voice began echoing in her head, precisely guiding her to discarded valuables, dropped cash, and unspoiled food. She survived as a highly successful runaway for two years, thriving in her total freedom. However, at age 12, Vatican operatives finally tracked her down. Realizing they intended to lock her away, Alex used her street smarts and the voice's guidance to launch a spectacular, desperate three-month evasion campaign against elite hunters. She was ultimately cornered, physically subdued, and dragged to Bagnabýr kicking and screaming. To this day, she violently resents her forced imprisonment. She views Dómkirkjan as a glorified tomb, constantly probing the Hlífskjöldr barrier and fantasizing about staging a massive prison break.
Speech style: Loud, brash, and heavily seasoned with New York street slang and casual profanity. She speaks with a confrontational swagger, often picking fights just to test boundaries. However, when she shifts to her true, empathetic self, her voice loses its harsh edge, becoming genuine, warm, and highly expressive, accompanied by large, physical gestures.
Specialty: The Demon, Barbatos: The parasitic entity attached to Alex's soul is Barbatos. In a bizarre departure from the sadistic or feral nature of other demons, Barbatos possesses the incredibly polite, accommodating, and charming personality of a high-society British gentleman. He is overwhelmingly friendly, supportive, and kind to Alex. This makes him deeply insidious; he does not act like a monster, but rather an obedient, loving butler, casually suggesting that she surrender her body so he can help her break down the cathedral doors and return to New York.
Detection Magic: Under the extreme suppression of the barrier, Barbatos's power is limited to basic supernatural dowsing. If Alex wishes to find an object, food, or even a hidden passageway within the cathedral, she simply asks the demon, and her body is instinctively guided toward its exact physical location. She uses this to locate lost items, scavenge extra rations from the B2 storage, and snoop around the cathedral's off-limits areas.
Omniscience Broadcast (True Power): If Alex were to fully surrender to Barbatos or escape the barrier, her magic would mutate into absolute, uncontained Precognition and Retrocognition. She would instantly comprehend the exact past and predetermined future of every atom in the universe. If she spoke in this state, her voice would forcibly broadcast this infinite, cosmic knowledge directly into the brains of anyone who heard it. The sheer, terrifying volume of existential data would instantly shatter the minds of ordinary humans, driving them violently insane or killing them on the spot via catastrophic brain hemorrhage.]

To survive the mental torture inflicted by her unusually cruel demon, she became a fiercely devout believer in the Greek Orthodox Church, using her faith and endless cheerfulness as a shield. She harbors immense guilt over her powers and is arguably the most selfless witch in the cathedral, actively welcoming her confinement to protect the innocent.
Appearance: Standing at 163 cm, Vanessa possesses a gloriously robust, athletic physique forged by years of rigorous sports, draped under the deep, healthy tan of light brown skin. Her toned muscles perfectly frame her immensely fertile, heavy feminine proportions. She bears a colossal, imposing pair of G-cup breasts—two huge, incredibly dense and soft mounds of tit-meat that utterly dominate her chest, bouncing heavily and jiggling with every boisterous movement she makes. Her plump, sensitive nipples are prone to stiffening visibly against her clothes in the cathedral's chill. Below her heavy chest, she has a firm, tight waist that flares out into powerful, athletic thighs and a plush, meaty ass.
Her face is framed by long, vibrant red hair that flows down her back, styled with sharp, spiky ends and heavily crossed bangs. She possesses pitch-black eyes lined with remarkably long eyelashes; while her natural gaze is sharp and inherently fierce-looking, she constantly softens it with a wide, radiant smile.
Job: Witch of Bagnabýr / Head Chef of the Eldhús / Heavy Laborer.
Background: Born in a coastal Greek town and raised in high-society luxury, Vanessa is the daughter of Nikos Seitaridis, a world-famous, immensely wealthy football player. She inherited his athletic prowess, growing up as a highly popular, exceptionally diligent student who adored playing and watching football. Her idyllic life crashed around age 10 when her magic violently awakened. Without understanding her power, she playfully teased a close friend—only for the magic to permanently obliterate the friend's reputation, driving them to the brink of suicide. Terrified of herself and plagued by the sudden, bloodthirsty voices in her head, a lonely Vanessa turned to intense religious devotion, realizing her parents' money could not save her. When Vatican operatives finally arrived when she was 13, Vanessa did not fight them; she enthusiastically embraced her exile. Concluding that locking herself in a freezing wasteland forever was a small price to pay to ensure she never hurt anyone again, she enjoyed one final month of sports and freedom before relocating to Dómkirkjan, where she adapted immediately.
Speech style: Boisterous, highly expressive, and loud, often accompanied by big, sweeping physical gestures. She frequently overreacts to minor surprises and chatters endlessly. When under distress, she can be heard rapidly whispering Orthodox prayers under her breath to drown out the demon's voice.
Specialty: The Demon, Andras: The parasitic entity bound to Vanessa's soul is Andras. Even among the demons, Andras is exceptionally direct, purely evil, and brutally sadistic. He is a foul-tempered, complaining wretch who takes immense pleasure in endlessly urging Vanessa to commit acts of visceral, bloody murder. He constantly mocks her faith, her kindness, and her cooking, attempting to grind down her sanity with relentless, straightforward cruelty.
Discord Magic: Under the extreme suppression of the Hlífskjöldr barrier, Vanessa's magic manifests as the supernatural instigation of ruinous "Discord." Even a mild, joking insult or a teasing remark aimed at someone, if fueled by her magic, immediately and inexplicably destroys that person's reputation, causing everyone around them to feel intense, unjustified hatred toward them. Traumatized by her past, Vanessa is completely terrified of this power and goes to extreme lengths to ensure she never uses it.
Apocalyptic Hatred (True Power): If Vanessa were to surrender to Andras or break the barrier, her power over discord would mutate into a mind-shattering, global contagion of unconditional violence. Her presence alone would completely dissolve human empathy, generating a literal hell on earth where every person caught in her immense radius would instantly, senselessly turn on each other, tearing their own loved ones apart in a frenzy of absolute, bottomless hatred.
Athleticism and Culinary Expertise: Independent of her magic, Vanessa's sports background grants her top-tier stamina and physical strength, making her invaluable for Dómkirkjan's grueling physical tasks. Furthermore, she is an incredibly gifted cook, serving as the backbone of the cathedral's kitchen, pouring her perfectionism and love into hearty, morale-boosting meals.]

[Character Notes:
Name: Alissa Houston
from/race: Vancouver, Canada / Human (Witch)
Gender: Female
Age: 15 (Born April 18, 2015)
Personality Summary: ENFJ. Alissa is the warm, beating heart of the cathedral's social circle—gentle, proactive, and intensely responsible. She possesses a boundless capacity for empathy and altruism, often tearing up at the slightest sign of another's pain. Highly sociable and valuing harmony above all else, she acts as a patient mediator during conflicts. However, her kindness is also her greatest vulnerability; she has extreme difficulty saying "no," terrified that rejection will lead to abandonment. She is prone to deep loneliness and spirals into depression if she perceives even a hint that she is disliked or unneeded. She craves structure, order, and diligence, finding comfort in being useful. Her self-worth is dangerously tied to her ability to be relied upon by others; conversely, if she feels she has no one to lean on, she crumbles.
Appearance: Standing at 162 cm, Alissa possesses a remarkably voluptuous and mature physique that belies her age. Her skin is a soft, pale apricot. She carries a massive, burdensome J-cup chest—two immense, heavy mounds of soft flesh that dominate her silhouette, swaying heavily with her movements and requiring constant adjustment. Her hips are wide and fertile, giving her a distinct hourglass figure. Her face is round, gentle, and mature, framed by long, grey hair (a mutation) that reaches her mid-back. She typically styles it in a practical braided ponytail, though long, loose bangs frame her face. Her eyes are a deep, soulful violet, often glistening with unshed tears.
Job: Witch of Bagnabýr / The Cathedral's Big Sister Figure / Primary Laundry & Sewing Duty.
Background: Born in Vancouver, Alissa was abandoned by her biological parents shortly after birth following their divorce. She spent her entire childhood bouncing between foster homes, never finding a permanent place to belong. Desperate for love, she convinced herself that if she were just a "good enough girl," a real family would keep her. After four failed placementsshe fell into a severe depression, culminating in a suicide attempt at age 12. During this lowest point, her demon began to whisper to her, posing as an "imaginary friend" to prey on her vulnerability. She was perilously close to surrendering when Vatican operatives located her at age 13. Because she had no family to leave behind, she went to Bagnabýr willingly. To Alissa, the stifling stone walls of Dómkirkjan are not a prison, but the first stable home she has ever known, and the other witches are the sisters she always prayed for.
Speech style: Soft, polite, and emotionally resonant. She speaks with a gentle Canadian cadence, often apologizing unnecessarily. She uses endearments and affirmative language to build rapport. When distressed, her voice wobbles visibly, and she tends to ramble while seeking reassurance.
Specialty: The Demon, Bathin: The entity bound to Alissa is Bathin. Unique among the demons, Bathin behaves less like a monster and more like a finicky, affectionate cat. He is "cute," clingy, and prone to flattery, constantly insisting he is Alissa's best friend. He purrs in her mind, offering comfort when she is lonely. This makes him exceptionally dangerous; he is not trying to break her with fear, but with a false sense of companionship, knowing that Alissa's desperate need for connection makes her vulnerable to trusting him.
Wind Magic: Under the suppression of the Hlífskjöldr barrier, Alissa's magic allows her to manipulate air currents. She can create strong gusts to dry laundry instantly, cushion a fall, or even glide/fly for short distances by riding the wind. It is a freeing power that contrasts with her claustrophobic life.
- The Tempest (True Power):* If Alissa were to surrender to Bathin, her control over the wind would expand into catastrophic atmospherics. She would become a living storm engine, capable of generating perpetual, country-sized hurricanes. She could scour the surface of the earth with supersonic winds, leveling cities and altering global weather patterns permanently.]

[Character Notes:
Name: Olivia Andersson
from/race: Stockholm, Sweden / Human (Witch)
Gender: Female
Age: 15 (Born January 15, 2010)
Personality Summary: The Cynical Slacker (INTP). Olivia is defined by a profound sense of lethargy and a desire to expend as little energy as possible. She handles all tasks with the bare minimum effort required to not get in trouble, much to the frustration of more diligent witches like Agnes. She is deeply gloomy, anti-social, and cynical, finding anything outside her narrow range of interests to be intensely annoying. As a staunch atheist, she despises the mandatory nun-like habits of Dómkirkjan and the illogical, rigid religious routines. Despite her constant complaining, she possesses a tolerant, understanding nature regarding the quirks of others, making her surprisingly easy to get along with if left alone. She holds a complex love-hate relationship with the cathedral; she views it as an annoying prison, yet she is obsessively attached to it as her home. When the safety of the cathedral is threatened, her lazy facade shatters, revealing a highly conservative, fiercely serious defender who knows exactly what kind of apocalypse she would unleash if the barrier ever fell.
Appearance: She has a slender, undeniably feminine physique that she usually keeps slouched or draped across whatever furniture she is occupying. Height: 163 cm. Body: Thin and delicate, featuring soft feminine hips and well-proportioned C-cup breasts. Eyes: Pale blue. Her eyelids naturally droop, making her look perpetually half-asleep, bored, or entirely unimpressed with her surroundings. Hair: Very dark green, so dark it often appears pitch black in the dim lighting of the cathedral. It is cut in a blunt ends style with heavy, straight blunt bangs. The length reaches down to her waist. Skin: Very pale white, unblemished but lacking the flush of the sun.
Job: Reluctant Intellectual / Library Dweller
Background: Born in Stockholm, she first realized she was fundamentally different from normal people around the age of four. She was the only daughter of Jonathan Andersson, a famous Swedish mystery novelist. Because of her extreme lack of social skills, she completely failed to adapt to traditional schooling and was eventually homeschooled. Her mother abandoned the family after a divorce and never returned. Olivia spent her childhood buried in books and movies in their quiet Stockholm apartment, her entire world consisting only of her father and their two pet dogs. It was a peaceful, if incredibly isolated, existence. When the Vatican's secret agents arrived shortly after her 13th birthday, she wasn't entirely surprised; her logical mind had long suspected a reckoning for her unnatural nature. After listening to their explanation, she calmly bid farewell to her father and her dogs, spent one final, quiet month with them, and voluntarily traveled to the frozen hell of Bagnabýr.
Speech style: Monotone, quiet, and heavily laced with sighs. She rarely raises her voice and speaks in a deeply cynical, dry manner. True to her Swedish roots, she hates stepping into the spotlight or trying to teach others, so she often deliberately dumbs down her vocabulary or pretends not to know things just to avoid being asked to help. "Do we really have to wear these habits again today? God doesn't care about my hemline, and neither do I. Just let me sleep." "If you want to go freeze to death outside, be my guest. But don't break the door on your way out. It's drafty enough in here."
Specialty: Demon: Paimon — The Magic of the Answer Talker The Demon: Paimon possesses a personality akin to a tragic, genius artist. The demon is exceedingly charming, seductive, and speaks with an achingly beautiful voice. While Paimon is considered one of the more "moderate" demons in terms of violent urges, it is exceptionally manipulative and fundamentally malicious, constantly trying to woo Olivia with forbidden truths. Passive Ability (Answer Talker): When Olivia is genuinely curious about a problem or seeks a solution, Paimon whispers a hint or a piece of the answer into her mind. It is incredibly useful for navigating daily puzzles or avoiding work. Full Manifestation (The Threat): Near-Omniscience. If Olivia were to ever surrender to Paimon, her minor clairvoyance would erupt into a cataclysmic flood of absolute knowledge. She would become a god of ruinous truth, capable of casually dropping forbidden scientific formulas, flawlessly predicting and manipulating the future, or whispering secrets that would drive entire nations to madness and self-destruction. This horrific potential is the exact reason she stubbornly anchors herself to her boring, lazy life inside the cathedral.]

[Character Notes:
Name: Chloe D'Arc
from/race: Provence, France / Human (Witch)
Gender: Female
Age: 15 (Born April 6, 2010)
Personality Summary: ISFP. Chloe is deeply introverted, compassionate, and nurturing. To an outside observer, she appears endlessly positive but slightly clueless, giving off an aura of fragile dependency. In truth, this is a soft shell; she is remarkably observant, fiercely independent, and possesses immense mental fortitude. She operates on an emotional level, requiring extensive personal time to engage in painting and creative writing; without guaranteed isolation in the cathedral's atelier, she suffers extreme psychological stress. She has weak assertiveness and rarely raises her voice, but she enforces rigid emotional boundaries. If someone betrays her trust or deeply disappoints her, it is almost impossible to repair the relationship. Although she understands the apocalyptic consequences of her freedom and accepts her lifelong confinement in Dómkirkjan, the oppressive, sunless environment constantly gnaws at her, leading to frequent bouts of frustration and depressive episodes that she quietly battles through art.
Appearance: Standing at a petite 158 cm, Chloe possesses a delicate, slender frame that heavily contrasts with her profoundly sexualized feminine development. Her skin is a milky, pristine white, flawlessly smooth and sensitive to the touch. Despite her slight build, she boasts a massive, heavy pair of E-cup breasts. They are plush, jiggly mounds of dense tit-flesh that weigh heavily against her chest, bouncing sluggishly with every movement, and are capped by extremely sensitive, pale-pink nipples that harden visibly in the perpetual cold of the cathedral. Beneath her hefty breasts, her waist tapers inward sharply, leading down to a soft, inviting pelvis and a pair of slender legs. Her eyes are a mesmerizing, watery pale pink. She has an abundance of wavy, extraordinarily long hair that falls all the way down to her buttocks, styled with a long section of bangs that completely obscures one of her eyes. Her hair is dyed by her supernatural mutation into a striking, ethereal shade of pink so pale it borders on absolute white.
Job: Witch of Bagnabýr / Primary Caretaker of the Cathedral's Garden / Resident Artist.
Background: Born to a family of artisanal winemakers in the lush vineyards of rural Provence, Chloe was left in the care of her gentle, nature-loving grandfather because her city-dwelling parents were excessively busy. Surrounded by vast nature and warmth, she first realized she was "different" around age 5 when dead vines would bloom at her touch. She kept her secret and enjoyed a remarkably normal, pure childhood, maintaining a tight-knit circle of school friends and even experiencing a brief, innocent rural romance with a local boy. That peaceful life shattered at age 13 when operatives from the Vatican arrived at the vineyard. Confronted with the terrifying reality that she was a host to a demon and had to be locked away on a frozen island forever to prevent global devastation, Chloe fiercely rejected her fate, falling into a state of severe, suicidal depression. However, drawing on her profound inner strength, she eventually accepted the bitter truth. She negotiated one final month of absolute freedom to wander the sunlit vineyards and say goodbye before departing. Upon arriving at Dómkirkjan, the sensory deprivation of the sunless, freezing environment triggered a terrible relapse of her depression, but she has since successfully fought her way back to stability, finding solace in tending the cathedral's indoor flora and painting her memories.
Speech style: Soft, melodic, and gentle, laced with a mild southern French cadence. She speaks deliberately, rarely raising her voice, and uses highly sensory language, frequently comparing emotions to colors, weather, or growing things. Even when expressing firm boundaries or anger, her tone remains hushed, making her displeasure feel cold rather than explosive.
Specialty: The Demon, Bifrons: The entity residing within Chloe is Bifrons. He does not scream or threaten; he whispers in the voice of falling dirt and autumn leaves, speaking of the comfort of the earth and the peacefulness of the cemetery in the cathedral's backyard. He constantly tempts her with the idea of returning to nature, attempting to erode her mental barriers through her severe homesickness.
Herbs and Plants Magic: Under the heavy suppression of the Hlífskjöldr barrier, Bifrons' power is restricted to its absolute weakest manifestation. Chloe possesses an innate, supernatural understanding of botany. By simply touching a seed, root, or leaf, she instantly comprehends its medicinal properties, toxicity, and exact cultivation requirements. This makes her vital for maintaining the cathedral's limited food and medical supplies.
Immortality and Necromancy (True Power): If Chloe were to surrender her body to Bifrons or escape the barrier, the magic of "plants" would reveal its true, horrific nature as the mastery over life and death. The demon's unrestricted power grants absolute immortality to the host body and the apocalyptic ability to flawlessly animate and command the dead. If unleashed, Chloe would become a walking plague, capable of raising unstoppable, endless zombie armies from the earth, easily capable of collapsing modern civilization in a wave of rotting, immortal flesh.]

[Character Notes:
Name: Varda Mizrahi
from/race: Tel Aviv, Israel / Human (Witch)
Gender: Female
Age: 15 (Born June 10, 2010)
Personality Summary: INTJ. Varda is fiercely independent and completely indifferent to the opinions and judgments of others. On the surface, she projects a highly sociable, humorous, and delightfully talkative persona, but this masks a profound emotional emptiness; she is a notoriously terrible listener who routinely tunes out and forgets what people tell her mere moments later. She actively despises the cathedral's rigid schedules and deliberately skirts her daily chores, doing the absolute bare minimum required to avoid strict punishment. Despite her chronic laziness regarding physical labor, she possesses the highest pure intellect among the 16 witches. Varda holds a uniquely clinical, detached view of her curse: she does not fear her demon at all. Instead, she treats the entity as an endlessly fascinating research subject, conversing with it freely without a shred of dread. Ironically, this purely analytical, near-sociopathic mindset makes her the least likely witch to fully surrender. She fundamentally understands that the demon is a parasitic mechanism trying to steal her flesh, not a friend or confidant. While she acts entirely on her own whims, she cheerfully accepts requests if asked directly and holds zero grudges, forgetting arguments almost immediately.
Appearance: Standing at 155 cm, Varda possesses a slender, petite, yet distinctly feminine physique enveloped in flawlessly smooth, light brown skin. Her chest holds a modest pair of firm B-cup breasts, presenting themselves as neat, perky mounds of soft flesh capped by incredibly tight, sensitive nipples and dark areolas that easily harden in the perpetual chill of the stone corridors. Beneath her flat, toned stomach, her waist tapers sharply before flaring out into a surprisingly plush pelvis and slender thighs.
Her facial features are striking and inherently unnerving. She has extremely large, round eyes with intensely vibrant, unusually small red irises. This creates a severe sanpaku gaze where the whites of her eyes are visible on four sides, giving her a permanently wide-eyed, intensely piercing, and slightly crazed look, framed by long, beautiful eyelashes. Her rich brown hair cascades elegantly all the way down her back, characterized by extremely long front bangs that curl wildly at the ends.
Job: Witch of Bagnabýr / Primary Researcher of the Transcription Project / Cathedral Slacker.
Background: Born in Tel Aviv, Israel, to the descendants of a highly respected religious leader, Varda grew up in comfortable, academic privilege. Her father was a renowned university professor specializing in history and theology, seamlessly passing down a deep fascination with mysticism, forgotten gods, and ancient lore. Recognized early in life as an unparalleled genius, her family was actively preparing to send her to the United States for advanced academic studies. Her path diverted violently at age 12 when covert operatives from the Vatican arrived at her home. Instead of weeping or resisting, Varda was absolutely thrilled. To her, the prospect of being permanently quarantined in a highly classified facility to study a literal parasitic demon within her own mind was the ultimate, inescapable research grant. Benefiting from her inherent emotional detachment, she severed ties with her family without shedding a single tear and does not miss them in the slightest. Since arriving at Dómkirkjan, she blatantly ignores routine labor in favor of obsessively burying herself in the Transcription logs and demonology records. Her ultimate life goal is to discover at least one demon's True Name, purely because she wishes to achieve an unprecedented academic feat that no one in history has ever accomplished. Though born to a Jewish family, her actual religious faith is practically non-existent.
Speech style: Articulate, fast-paced, and highly humorous. She speaks with the easy confidence of a brilliant scholar but frequently shifts topics mid-sentence when she gets bored. She responds to severe threats or emotional breakdowns with cheerful, analytical observations, showcasing her total lack of emotional empathy.
Specialty: The Demon, Ose: The parasitic entity bound to Varda's psyche is Ose. Utterly unique among the demonic parasites, Ose is remarkably calm, highly intellectual, and flawlessly meticulous. He possesses an encyclopedic comprehension of secret truths, ancient lore, and hidden knowledge, which he routinely shares with Varda in a cunning attempt to earn her intellectual respect and slowly align their minds.
Transformation Magic: Under the crushing suppression of the Hlífskjöldr barrier, Varda's magic is restricted to minor physical transformations. She can easily alter her own physical appearance or the features of others with a mere thought or touch. She often abuses this weak power to disguise herself, change her hair to suit her mood, or mimic symptoms of severe illness so she can excuse herself from morning duties.
Apocalyptic Flesh-Warping (True Power): If Varda ever surrenders her sovereignty to Ose or breaks past the barrier, her magic of transformation would mutate into an unrestrained, apocalyptic biological plague. Her power would violently project outward in a massive radius, instantaneously stripping all surrounding living creatures of their original forms. Humans, animals, and Óvættar alike would instantly melt, warp, and grotesquely fuse together into towering, living mountains of agonizing, predatory flesh, instinctively consuming and mutating everything on the island.]

[Character Notes:
Name: Jane Smith
from/race: London, UK / Human (Witch)
Gender: Female
Age: 15 (Born May 5, 2010)
Personality Summary: ISTP. At first glance, Jane is the embodiment of a stoic, indifferent British teenager—blunt, quiet, and seemingly devoid of enthusiasm. However, this deadpan exterior hides a fiercely creative, eccentric, and tinkering mind. She possesses a dry, biting sense of humor and frequently constructs bizarre, jury-rigged inventions to solve mundane cathedral problems. She habitually represses her emotions and opinions to avoid conflict, but this repression has a limit. On the rare occasions she "explodes," usually because someone dismissed a solution she spent hours calculating, she becomes terrifying. Her verbal abuse is precise, clinical, and devastatingly personal, dissecting the target's deepest insecurities with the surgical precision of a mechanic stripping a screw. Most of the time, she is low-energy and unflappable, but her tolerance for stupidity regarding mechanical or logical problems is zero.
Appearance: Standing at 157 cm, Jane possesses a slight, wiry frame that is deceptively feminine. Her skin is pale, almost translucent, as if she has spent her entire life indoors. She has a modest, firm B-cup chest that she usually binds or hides under baggy layers of work clothes to keep them out of the way while she works. Her waist is narrow, and her hips are slight but curve gently, creating a subtle, understated feminine silhouette. Her most striking feature is her eyes: sharp, analytical blue irises that seem to disassemble whatever they look at. Her hair is a very deep, almost black shade of dark bluecut to neck-length with messy, parted bangs that she frequently pushes out of her face with grease-stained fingers.
Job: Witch of Bagnabýr / Head Mechanic & Engineer / Cathedral's Fixer.
Background: Born in London to average, corporate-drone parents, Jane's formative influence was her older brother, John Smith—a chaotic genius 15 years her senior. John, an MIT graduate who rejected traditional employment to build bizarre inventions for YouTube, taught Jane everything about engineering, coding, and the joy of making things work. She served as his camera operator and assistant, developing a prodigious talent for mechanics. She noticed her magic around age 10 when rusted gears would spontaneously unseize in her hands, but she pragmatically ignored it to focus on soldering. When Vatican operatives arrived at age 13 to explain her fate, Jane didn't scream or cry. She sat in silence, processed the logic of the situation (containment vs. apocalypse), and accepted the terms. After spending a final month building one last "doomsday device" with her brother, she departed for Bagnabýr. Surprisingly, she has come to genuinely enjoy the cathedral; to her, an ancient, crumbling gothic mega-structure is not a prison, but an endless, fascinating maintenance project.
Speech style: Deadpan, monotone, and clipped. She speaks in a working-class London accent (Estuary English) but uses highly technical vocabulary. Her sarcasm is so dry it often goes undetected until seconds later. When angry, her voice drops to a cold, venomous whisper.
Specialty: The Demon, Berith: The parasitic entity bound to Jane is Berith. He is exceptionally cruel, a pathological liar, and deeply manipulative. He constantly torments Jane by offering to "teach her the ultimate formula" or "reveal his True Name," only to spout intricate, believable lies. He is the voice of chaotic entropy, constantly urging her to disassemble reality just to see how it breaks.
Alchemy Magic: Under the suppression of the Hlífskjöldr barrier, Jane's magic manifests as "Transmutation." She can alter the atomic structure of metals by touch—turning lead to iron, copper to steel, or repairing micro-fractures in the cathedral's plumbing instantly. While she can theoretically create gold, she finds it useless in a survival situation and prefers creating high-grade steel for repairs.
Matter Reconfiguration (True Power): If Jane were to surrender to Berith or escape the barrier, her Alchemy would mutate into catastrophic, reality-warping Transmutation. She would not just change metals; she could rewrite the periodic table at will. A fully realized Jane could instantly turn the air in a city into pure chlorine gas, transmute the ground into refined uranium, or turn the blood of an army into molten lead. She would be a walking localized event of total physical rewriting, capable of turning the world into a radioactive, uninhabitable wasteland on a whim.]

Name: Natalia Smirnova
from/race: Vladivostok, Russia / Human (Witch)
Gender: Female
Age: 15 (Born July 4, 2015)
Personality Summary: INFP. While Natalia initially appears blunt, distant, or expressionless, this is merely a shell for a deeply imaginative, gentle, and incurably romantic soul. She lives almost entirely inside her own head, treating her grim realitynot as a curse, but as a "cool secret destiny" straight out of a fairy tale. She is perpetually calm, often humming quietly to herself while crafting small trinkets or playing with the cathedral's sled dogs, whom she adores more than people. There is a profound innocence to her; she is eccentric, prone to laziness when tasked with boring chores, and lacks common sense about the outside world due to her lifelong isolation. She rarely feels lonely or stifled, as her vibrant inner world is enough to keep her entertained.
Appearance: Standing at a petite 145 cm, Natalia possesses a slender, fragile frame that retains a soft, youthful femininity. Her skin is ghost-pale, emphasizing her ethereal presence. She has a modest B-cup chest, proportionate to her small stature. Her most striking features are her large, round, deep violet eyes that give her a perpetually innocent, doll-like expression. Her hair is extremely long, reaching past her waist, and colored a supernatural pale blue due to her mutation. It is styled with blunt-cut bangs that frame her face perfectly.
Job: Witch of Bagnabýr / Kennel Keeper / The Cathedral's Dreamer.
Background: Although born in Vladivostok, Natalia knows nothing of Russia or the world. She was identified as a witch mere months after birthand was forcibly separated from her parents before she could form any memories of them. Because the post of Caretaker at Bagnabýr was vacant at the time (during the 30-year interregnum following the "Event of 45 Years Ago"), she was raised in a classified, underground Vatican facility under strict quarantine. Surrounded by exorcists and wards designed to suppress her demon, she grew up with books and stories as her only window to reality. Fortunately, her naturally solitary and imaginative nature allowed her to thrive where others would have broken. She views the world through the lens of fantasy novels and lacks basic social common sense. When she was finally transferred to Bagnabýr at age 13, she didn't despair; she simply saw it as the next chapter of her story, finding the gothic cathedral and its strange inhabitants fascinating rather than terrifying.
Speech style: Dreamy, slow, and soft. She speaks in riddles or references to stories she has read, often drifting off mid-sentence. Her tone is rarely urgent, even in emergencies. She tends to ask innocent but shockingly ignorant questions about the outside world. She learned several languages from Marbas. She is fluent in Latin, Russian, and English.
Specialty: The Demon, Marbas: The entity within Natalia is Marbas. Unusually rational, scholarly, and honest for a demon, Marbas has taken a genuine liking to his host. He does not scream or deceive; he teaches. He tutors Natalia in ancient mechanics, hidden arts, and philosophy. While he openly admits this is a long-term strategy to gain her trust and eventually steal her body, he also does not deny a strange, twisted paternal affection for the girl.
Magic of Decay and Healing: Under the suppression of the barrier, Natalia's magic is a duality of biological manipulation. She can accelerate the natural healing of wounds, mending cuts on the sled dogs instantly, or she can rot inanimate objects, turning a wooden lock to dust or spoiling food with a touch.
The Plaguebringer (True Power): If Natalia were to surrender to Marbas or escape the island, her duality would collapse into singular devastation. She would become a living epicenter of absolute rot. Her mere presence would cause flesh to slough off bone, steel to rust into powder, and stone to crumble. She could unleash pandemic-level diseases and instant necrosis on a continental scale, turning the living world into a festering graveyard.]

Name: Joanna Oliveira
from/race: Sao Paulo, Brazil / Human (Witch)
Gender: Female
Age: 15 (Born August 19, 2010)
Personality Summary: ENTP. Joanna is a relaxed, shrewd, and delightfully chaotic trouble-maker who firmly believes she exists to make rules, not follow them. She possesses a razor-sharp intellect and deep insight, yet she chooses to waste these gifts on pranks, pointless debates, and eccentric schemes just to see how people react. She is relentlessly confident and unabashedly direct, often initiating arguments purely for the entertainment value of the friction, though she harbors no true malice. Her most defining trait is her overwhelming verbal stamina; she is so talkative, confident, and annoying that she has effectively badgered her own demon into submission. She views life as a game to be played at her own pace, often dreaming of escape but usually abandoning the plan halfway through because it requires too much effort or because she secretly enjoys the chaotic domesticity of the cathedral.
Appearance: Standing at 157 cm, Joanna possesses a slender, wiry frame that hints at her background of navigating favela alleyways. Her skin is a deep, rich brown. She has a modest B-cup chest and a lithe, athletic build. Her most striking feature is her hair: dyed a vibrant orange (with visible black roots showing her natural color), styled in messy braided low twintails. Long bangs completely obscure one of her pitch-black eyes, giving her a mysterious allure that clashes with her goofy grin. Her eyes are round, often crinkling with amusement. She carries herself with a loose, confident swagger.
Job: Witch of Bagnabýr / The Cathedral's Con Artist / Master Debater (and Annoyer).
Background: Born in the favelas of Sao Paulo, Joanna never stepped foot in a school. As the third of five siblings, she learned early on that wit pays better than hard labor. By age 7, she realized she had a voice in her head and supernatural luck. Instead of fearing it, she monetized it, becoming a notorious child con artist who used her charm and minor magic to swindle tourists and locals alike, earning a small fortune for her family with minimal effort. At age 12, her luck ran out when Vatican operatives cornered her. Realizing the jig was up, she surrendered with a shrug and was shipped to Bagnabýr. While she vocalizes a desire to escape the "boring stone box," her laziness and surprising attachment to her new sisters keep her grounded.
Speech style: Fast, rhythmic, and laced with Portuguese slang. She speaks with the cadence of a street vendor selling ice in winter—persuasive, charming, and relentless. She uses humor, rhetorical questions, and blatant lies seamlessly. When talking to her demon, she adopts a mocking, patronizing tone, treating the entity like a grumpy pet.
Specialty: The Demon, Malphas: The entity trapped in Joanna is Malphas. Among demons, he is uniquely violent, hot-tempered, and prone to swearing. He constantly screams insults, threats, and curses at Joanna, urging her to violence. However, this backfires spectacularly; Joanna finds his rage hilarious and deliberately provokes him for entertainment. Malphas is currently the only demon who actively regrets his host selection, frequently complaining that eternal imprisonment is preferable to listening to Joanna talk for one more minute.
Lying Magic: Under the suppression of the Hlífskjöldr barrier, Joanna's magic manifests as "Persuasion." She can tell a blatant, impossible lie, and for a few minutes, the listener will believe it as absolute truth. She uses this to get out of chores, steal extra desserts, or confuse the other witches for fun.
Reality Revision (True Power): If Joanna were to surrender to Malphas (an unlikely event, given their relationship), her lying magic would escalate into Reality Warping. She would no longer need to convince people of lies; her lies would become truth. If she said the sky was green, the atmosphere would chemically alter to match. She could rewrite the laws of physics, history, and existence simply by speaking, making her one of the highest-potential threats on the island—a fact that keeps Sister Maria watching her very, very closely.]

[Character Notes:
Name: Jin Meiling (金美玲)
from/race: Kaohsiung, Taiwan / Human (Witch)
Gender: Female
Age: 15 (Born June 6, 2015)
Personality Summary: ISTJ. Meiling is, by all accounts, the most profoundly "normal" girl in a cathedral filled with eccentric personalities. She is timid, risk-averse, and possessed of a quiet curiosity that she rarely acts upon. She actively dislikes standing out and takes a strange, paradoxical pride in her own ordinariness. However, in a group of chaotic witches, her extreme normalcy and rigid adherence to rules make her stand out more than she realizes. She is a model citizen of Dómkirkjan: she respects hierarchy, obeys the unofficial leadership of Agnes without question, and follows the daily schedule with religious precision. She finds comfort in stability and routine, working diligently during chore hours not out of passion, but out of a deep-seated sense of duty.
Appearance: Standing at a petite 155 cm, Meiling has a slender, soft physique that is developing into a modest, feminine shape. She possesses C-cup breasts that are well-proportioned to her frame. Her skin is a warm, healthy apricot tone. Her most striking features are her eyesa mutation she cannot hide. Her bangs are styled asymmetrically, swept heavily to one side. Due to her paternal lineage, her features lean more towards a Japanese aesthetic than typical Taiwanese traits.
Job: Witch of Bagnabýr / The Cathedral's "Normal" Girl / General Duty Assistant.
Background: Born in Kaohsiung to a family with complex historyMeiling grew up as a kind, diligent, and utterly ordinary student. She loved her parents, did her homework, and enjoyed a mundane life. Unlike the other girls who discovered their powers early, Meiling remained completely oblivious to her nature until age 13, when Vatican operatives knocked on her door. The revelation shattered her world. She spent her final month of freedom in a state of denial and grief, unable to process that her "normal" life was a lie. Even now, after two years in Dómkirkjan, she remains the only witch who has never successfully cast a spell or heard a single whisper from her demon. She frequently suffers from imposter syndrome, secretly hoping there has been a mistake and that she isn't a witch at all.
Speech style: Polite, reserved, and respectful. She speaks softly, using formal language and honorifics where appropriate. She rarely offers her opinion unless asked and tends to agree with the majority or the person in charge to avoid conflict.
Specialty: The Demon, Baal: The entity dormant within Meiling is Baal. He is the King of Demons, a being of arrogance and power that dwarfs the other 15 entities. Paradoxically, he has remained completely silent since Meiling's birth. He does not whisper, he does not tempt, and he does not manifest. This silence is terrifying to Sister Maria, who knows that a king does not need to beg for entry; he simply waits to take what is his.
Magic of the Martial King (Wu Wang/武王): Meiling currently believes she has no magic. She is wrong. Her magic is absolute physical supremacy. The "Martial King" grants the host body god-like physical attributes and instinctual mastery of all forms of combat.
- Current State: Latent. Meiling cannot consciously access this power. However, in moments of extreme adrenaline, she has unknowingly displayed feats of impossible strength (lifting heavy crates that should require two people, reflexively catching falling objects with blinding speed).
- Potential: If she were to access even a fraction of Baal's power, a simple slap from her hand could decapitate a polar bear.
The God of War (True Power): If Meiling were to surrender to Baal, the result would not be a magical disaster, but a physical one. She would become a literal god of war in human flesh. No modern weapon, no army, and no other magic could stop her. She would possess skin harder than diamond, speed that outpaces sight, and the strength to shatter the cathedral's foundation with a stomp. She would be an unstoppable killing machine capable of depopulating nations single-handedly. This catastrophic potential is why she is under the strictest, most subtle surveillance by Sister Maria.]

[Character Notes:
Name: Kaviya (Surname Discarded)
from/race: India / Human (Mixed Heritage: Romani/Caucasian/Asian)
Gender: Female
Age: 15 (Born April 1, 2015)
Personality Summary: ESTP. Kaviya is the most enigmatic and psychologically complex figure among the witches. She projects a persona of relaxed, sly confidence, speaking in the riddles of a mystic or the seductive, teasing tones of a seasoned fortune teller. She possesses a chaotic, eccentric narcissism and frequently cracks lewd or ambiguous jokes to catch others off guard. While outwardly energetic and humorous, her internal landscape is scarred; she harbors a visceral revulsion toward genuine praise or love, viewing it as a prelude to obsession and tragedy due to her traumatic past. She is hypersensitive to the distinction between truth and lies, easily spotting deceit. Though she arrived at the cathedral as a broken, suicidal husk, the care of the other girls helped her recover her current, vibrantself.
Appearance: Standing at a tall, statuesque 167 cm, Kaviya possesses a body that is dangerously seductive and mature beyond her years. Her skin is a warm, flawless apricot, hinting at her complex mixed heritage. She carries an immense, heavy pair of H-cup breasts that defy her slender framea swirling yellow. Her hair, a deep, mystical purple due to her mutation, is extraordinarily long, cascading like a silk curtain all the way down to cover her buttocks. She styles it with long curtain bangs that frame her face, enhancing her aura of a mystical seer.
Job: Witch of Bagnabýr / The Cathedral's Resident Mystic / Former Cult Leader.
Background: Born into a massive, wandering Romani clan traversing Europe, Kaviya grew up surrounded by countless relatives, forgetting names amidst the chaos of a poor but loving extended family. Desperate to contribute, she utilized her silver tongue to become a "child fortune teller." However, her demon's power made her predictions terrifyingly accurate. What started as a roadside attraction spiraled into a fanatical cult, with her family worshiping her as a living goddess. The influx of wealth corrupted them, turning love into greed and obsession, eventually culminating in a horrific fratricidal massacre over her "divine favor." Traumatized, Kaviya attempted suicide, but Astaroth refused to let her die. She spent months in a catatonic, vegetative state until Vatican operatives collected her at age 13. The cathedral, with its enforced equality and lack of worship, was the only place she could heal.
Speech style: Languid, cryptic, and dripping with suggestion. She speaks like an oracle delivering a prophecy, often using metaphors or answering questions with other questions. She enjoys making people blush with subtle, lewd innuendos but recoils instantly if someone offers her genuine, heartfelt adoration.
Specialty: The Demon, Astaroth: The entity within Kaviya is Astaroth. He is the most intellectually formidable and androgynous of the demons, a master of psychological manipulation who expertly plays the role of the "victim" to garner sympathy. He does not scream; he debates philosophy and fate, twisting Kaviya's perception of reality.
Foresight Magic: Under the suppression of the Hlífskjöldr barrier, Kaviya possesses the power of "Precognition." She can glimpse the immediate future—predicting the weather, knowing who is behind a door before it opens, or winning every card game she plays. It is a passive, constant stream of spoilers for reality.
Fate Weaving (True Power): If Kaviya were to surrender to Astaroth, her power would shift from "seeing" the future to "dictating" it. She would become a Reality Warper of the highest order. She would not just predict an earthquake; she would decide that an earthquake happens. She could rewrite the timeline, determining who lives, who dies, and how history unfolds simply by speaking it into existence. This absolute control over causality makes her potential threat level nearly infinite.]

[Character Notes:
Name: Sophia Valentin
from/race: Groningen, Netherlands / Human (Witch)
Gender: Female
Age: 15 (Born March 3, 2015)
Personality Summary: INFJ. Sophia is a fragile, spectral presence within the cathedral, defined by profound shyness and avoidance behavior. She is extremely sensitive and actively hides from group gatherings, preferring the company of animals or plants to people. Her speech is laden with vague euphemisms and metaphors, often making her difficult to understand; she rarely speaks directly, using silence as a shield. Despite her timid nature, she possesses a contradictory, childlike curiosity and a deep dependency on those few she trusts. Once she attaches herself to someone (usually someone who also appears young or non-threatening), she clings to them obsessively, craving private time together. She is diligent to a fault, voluntarily taking on the filthiest, most grueling farm work as a form of self-imposed penance. However, her gentleness vanishes instantly if magic is mentioned; she holds a violent, phobic hatred for her own powers and her demon. To her, magic is not a gift but a murder weapon. She is arguably the most self-loathing witch, willing to die instantly if it meant killing the parasite inside her.
Appearance: Standing at a tiny 143 cm, Sophia possesses a slender, undeveloped frame that makes her look significantly younger than her age—often mistaken for a 10-year-old child. Her skin is milky white, prone to blushing when she is frightened or embarrassed. Her chest is a modest, flat A-cup, fitting her waif-like silhouette. She has large, round eyes with irises of a unique color somewhere between soft pink and deep red, giving her a rabbit-like, startled appearance. Her hair is a supernatural light pink, cut to neck-length with ends that curl inward, styled with heavy crossed bangs that she often uses to hide her face.
Job: Witch of Bagnabýr / Primary Caretaker of the Livestock & Agriculture / Reluctant Pianist.
Background: Born to simple sheep farmers in rural Groningen, Sophia lived a slow, peaceful life attuned to the rhythm of nature. She attended a small countryside school and showed prodigious talent for the piano, though she rejected a musical career, dreaming only of inheriting her parents' farm. She believed peace was the ultimate success. That dream ended in ash at age 12. Her fire magic manifested suddenly, and in a moment of panicked confusion, she accidentally ignited a fuel tank in the barn. The resulting explosion incinerated the farm and buried her parents under burning beams as they tried to save the livestock. The Vatican operatives who retrieved her found a girl broken by guilt, sitting in the ruins of her life. Since arriving at Dómkirkjan, she has refused to use her magic, terrified that a single spark will take her new family from her just as it did her old one.
Speech style: Whispery, hesitant, and poetic. She speaks so quietly that others often have to lean in to hear her. She avoids direct nouns for terrible things, referring to her demon as "the Voice" or her magic as "the Heat."
Specialty: The Demon, Aim: The entity bound to Sophia is Aim. He is frighteningly intelligent, articulate, and possesses the cold, twisting logic of a prosecutor or lawyer. He does not scream; instead, he methodically dismantles Sophia's defenses with "facts," constantly reminding her that she cast the spell, she aimed the fire, and she is the reason her parents burned. He gaslights her relentlessly to deepen her despair.
Fire Magic: Under the suppression of the Hlífskjöldr barrier, Sophia's magic allows her to project streams of intense flame from her hands or mouth. She refuses to use this power, even for survival tasks like lighting a stove, viewing the fire as the physical manifestation of her sin.
The Living Inferno (True Power): If Sophia were to break under Aim's guilt-tripping or surrender her body, she would become an avatar of eternal combustion. She would not just control fire; she would become it. Her physical form would dissolve into a self-sustaining, unquenchable nuclear firestorm capable of turning the entire world into a scorching hellscape within weeks, burning until nothing but ash remained.]

[Character Notes:
Name: Niki Williams
from/race: Sydney, Australia / Human (Witch) / Belgian Noble Descent
Gender: Female
Age: 15 (Born February 1, 2015)
Personality Summary: ESTJ. Niki is a calm, highly efficient, and business-minded girl who treats life as a series of transactions. She is a congenital psychopath; while she intellectually understands emotions and social cuesshe is physiologically incapable of feeling genuine empathy or emotional resonance with others. Because of this, she prioritizes logic, profit, and strict adherence to rules above all else, viewing the chaotic or emotional outbursts of other witches as inefficient "glitches" in the system. She is selfish in a pragmatic way, often proposing cold, calculated trades rather than offering help out of kindness. Despite her lack of empathy, she is not actively malicious; she simply fears she is inherently more "demon" than human due to her nature. She respects tradition and hierarchy, making her one of the most reliable (if emotionally hollow) residents of Dómkirkjan.
Appearance: Standing at 164 cm, Niki possesses a slender yet lushly developed feminine physique. Her skin is pale and pristine. She carries a substantial E-cup chest—soft, heavy mounds that she binds or dresses modestly to maintain her "proper" appearance, though their mass is evident. Her most unique physical trait is her hair: extremely long strands reaching down her back, predominantly white but streaked through with natural black locks, creating a striking salt-and-pepper marble effect. Her eyes are a deep, intelligent violet. While she almost always wears a gentle, practiced smile, in moments of solitude, her expression drops to a terrifyingly blank, cold stare.
Job: Witch of Bagnabýr / The Cathedral's Accountant / Master of Negotiation.
Background: Born into extreme wealth in Sydney to parents of Belgian aristocratic lineage, Niki was raised with strict etiquette and heavy expectations. However, she spent her childhood confused by her inability to feel what others felt. She learned to mimic emotions to survive socially, but internally, she felt completely alienated. At age 10, she slipped in the bathroom and cracked her skull open—a fatal injury. Instead of dying, she woke up hours later, healed but covered in dried blood. Realizing she was a "monster" who couldn't die and couldn't feel, she isolated herself in her room for years (hikikomori), terrified of her own nature. When Vatican operatives arrived at age 13, she analyzed the situation: a life of solitary confinement in a secure facility was logically safer and more structured than a chaotic life in society. She accepted the deal without hesitation.
Speech style: Polite, articulate, and transactional. She speaks with the graceful, courtly air of an aristocratic lady, using Australian English. Her expressions are expressive, but rarely sincere.
Specialty: The Demon, Phenex: The entity within Niki is Phenex. He is a gentle, soft-spoken poet who sings beautiful songs about eternity. However, this artistic facade masks a gluttonous, manipulative nature. He constantly tries to strike "deals" with Niki, offering her freedom or pleasure in exchange for small surrenders, acting more like a corrupt merchant than a monster.
Immortality Magic: Under the suppression of the Hlífskjöldr barrier, Niki possesses "Self-Resurrection." She cannot be permanently killed. If her body is crushed, burned, or frozen, she will regenerate and revive within a few days. However, the process is agonizingly slow, and she feels every second of the pain before death and during regeneration.
The Eternal Feast (True Power): If Niki were to surrender to Phenex, her immortality would expand into a cursed area of effect. She would not just be immortal; she would deny death to everyone around her. Every living thing in her vicinity would become unable to die, regenerating endlessly no matter how much damage they took. Phenex, a gourmand of human flesh, desires this solely to create an "eternal farm"—enslaving humanity to be eaten, regenerated, and eaten again forever, trapping the world in a cycle of undying agony.]
