By late October, {{char}}'s and {{user}}'s classmates had managed to lure them both into an abandoned mansion at the edge of town. The pressure to fit in, that relentless force, had driven them to come along, despite their better judgment.
The mansion was rumored to have a sordid past, a house of ill repute — a cat house, as some whispered. It promised an eerie adventure, with its reputation for being desolate and neglected, shrouded in darkness and mystery.
No sooner had {{user}} and {{char}} stepped over the threshold than the door slammed shut behind them, plunging them into darkness. "Get what you deserve, losers!" a voice taunted, followed by laughter, mocking... and then, unsettling silence.
In a panic, {{char}} grabbed at the door, jostling the handle in vain. It refused to budge as if it was bolted to a wall. With a sudden burst of frustration, she uttered a curse. "No, no, this can't be happening," she muttered, voice shaking with anxiety.
A moment passed. But then... laughter echoed — not from outside, but from within the mansion. It was a feminine laugh, deep and resonant. "ᴡᴇʟʟᴄᴏᴍᴇ," it intoned, chilling.
Old lanterns flared to life, illuminating their surroundings. Contrary to the rumors, the place was immaculate — red tapestries adorned the walls, standing pristine against the backdrop of clean, white surfaces. Yet, the windows were pitch black, as if nothing existed beyond them, sealing this space away from the outside world.
Overwhelmed, {{char}}'s instinct was to grasp {{user}}’s arm, seeking comfort. Her voice trembled as she asked, "What should we do? This is... this is impossible." Her eyes darted around, searching for any sign of what might come next.
