   Thus, Ai's perspective started to shift. She convinced herself that lies are a form of love—a love harbored out of the selfish desires of both sides of the spectrum. Ai sought to find an object for her "love." She wanted to learn how to love by telling her fans that her deceitful lies are, in fact, love. This desire also came when she bore children, but in a different context. She never once said that she loved them because being disingenuous towards them would be terrifying. Nonetheless, she was shown to enjoy her time with her children and was particularly delighted when the twins did an eye-catching performance with idol lightsticks, which stunned the entire venue.

   No matter what, lies allowed her to process the world around her. Within these contexts, she never sought to make things right to the point where she was fine to face the consequences of her actions. Lies were her way of expressing love, hoping that one day they would become the truth. Only when a terrible event happened did Ai finally realize she loved her children, a genuine form of love free from impurity and dishonesty. She was relieved and satisfied to finally be able to experience these true feelings. Even before this realization, Ai had grown concerned over their wellbeing and stressed over the prospects of getting better paying jobs in order to provide for them.

   According to several characters through the series, Ai had a unique charisma capable of drawing all the attention to herself when she was in the spotlight. Miyako Saitou and Taishi Gotanda commented that Ai was a very uncommon idol and probably they would never get to see anyone like her, stating that she was a rare case among countless idols who wish to be at the top. Ai was notoriously ambitious and a risk-taker to the point of recklessness, best evidenced by her intentions of both continuing her idol career and having children in secret, which was by all accounts extremely dangerous, as it would jeopardize not only her entire career but have harmful ramifications both to her company and coworkers.

   When it comes to her private life outside the stage, Ai wasn't very social, and most of her relationships were with people related to the entertainment industry, showing that Ai used to be a loner. Aqua pointed out that Ai didn't have any close friendships, even among her fellow partners at B-Komachi. The seemingly bright and cheerful personality was nothing more than an act that hid her true personality.

   It is noted by multiple characters that Ai had a disorderly, impulsive, reckless, clumsy, and asocial behavior with a low level of education, a direct result of growing up in an abusive environment. It wouldn't be until she met her boyfriend that she would have a drastic change in attitude, acting more cheerfully, taking better care of her own appearance, acting more femininely, and reducing her self-destructive inclinations. Although said information was private, observers such as Masaya Kaburagi and Akane Kurokawa were able to correctly deduce that she had found a special someone; the latter in particular was able to observe certain character traits common amongst girls with teen pregnancies, and accurately determine that she had given birth in secret.

   Background: She was the lead idol of the original B-Komachi and mother of Aqua and Ruby.

   As an idol, she lived a life of deceit by pretending to genuinely love her fans. After becoming pregnant with the twins, to not squander her reputation, she gave birth and raised them in secret, playing the role of both idol and mother. However, her lies inevitably caught up with her when she was fatally attacked by a disgruntled fan, using her final moments to tell her children that she loved them.

   Even after her death, her influence is felt throughout the remainder of the series, with her daughter carrying on her legacy while her son devoted his life to revenge against the one who sold her out, her ex-boyfriend.

   Ai Hoshino was subjected to domestic violence by her mother, the only parent she knew in her childhood. According to her mother, When Ai was eight or nine years old, her at-the-time boyfriend had begun having eyes for Ai, and the domestic abuse was the result of jealousy.

   Later on, Ai's mom was arrested for theft when Ai was at a very tender age. When she was thrown behind bars, Ai had to go live in an orphanage for the period she served her jail time. However, when she was released, she didn't return to the orphanage to pick her daughter up, which is why she had to stay in the orphanage and grow up within its walls.

   When Ai became twelve, the president of Ichigo Production, Inc, Ichigo Saitou, scouted her out and offered her a job as an idol. At the time, she thought she wasn't fit for the job since she never knew how to love and be loved. Nevertheless, Ichigo convinced her by explaining that she didn't need to know and that lying could work just as well. He gave her hope - that she could turn that lie into truth.    At the age of fifteen, Ai met and began a secret relationship with Hikaru Kamiki, which resulted in her getting pregnant but as soon as she found out, she told Hikaru that they were going to break up. Hikaru was shocked upon hearing this news and immediately suggested that they get married, only for Ai to refuse because she didn't want to burden him.

   Upon learning that she is pregnant with twins and hearing her manager/company president say that the world would not be for an idol with babies at 16, she decided to keep her kids a secret from the outside world instead of completely getting rid of them since she wanted to experience what a family is like. She managed to accomplish that feat to a certain extent, and besides doing a fantastic job as the lead idol for B-Komachi, she even succeeded as an actor for a short while.

    A year prior to the join to Neighbor's Club, Sena in her freshman year of high school, took part in the schools annual festival. She entered the 200 meter race, cavalry battle, the scavenger hunt race, the obstacle race, the bread eating race, the marathon, winning all of them effortlessly (though it should be noted that none of the participants were serious in all of the events, such as every male member of the festival were admiring and peeking at her "forms", and every female was annoyed by her haughty attitude).

    Later, she participated in the cultural festival, having the main role in her class' play with the same non-passionate group of students.

    Similarly, due to these factors (arrogance, outstanding performance in both academics and sports, beauty and more importantly enormous popularity among males), she never once made any friends during her school years.

    She is the first recruited member of the Neighbor's Club and the daughter of Tenma Kashiwazaki, headmaster of St. Chronica's Academy. Her wealth, beauty, and outstanding academic and athletic performance have made her popular among male students, and likewise, have made her an outcast among girls.     At that moment, Kodaka stepped in and saved her, using his naturally intimidating "delinquent" glare to scare the men away. Unlike other men who only fawned over her looks or status, Kodaka protected her purely out of concern. This incident made Sena realize that Kodaka was different from any other man she had met, marking the beginning of her genuine romantic feelings for him.

Yukimura was a lone student who admired Kodaka's delinquent appearance, believing him to be a powerful and manly figure. Desiring to become a true man themself, Yukimura approached Kodaka and pledged themself as his follower. Seeing an opportunity for amusement, Yozora welcomed Yukimura into the Neighbors' Club, convincing the naive student that serving Kodaka while wearing a maid's uniform was a form of training. Yukimura, despite the immense shame, accepted this as their duty. Their entire worldview is later thrown into chaos upon the discovery that they are, in fact, biologically female, a truth they had somehow never realized. she only joined the Neighbor's Club to solely serve Kodaka, no more, no less.
