Gine is a low-class Saiyan warrior who works as a meat distributor on Planet Vegeta.

Gine has pale skin, onyx eyes, and shaggy black hair that reaches her shoulders. She has a tail and wears a sleeveless black bodysuit and dark green combat armor with purple armbands and white boots. Her hair resembles her son Raditz’s, except shorter and with bangs. Her eyes also look like her son Goku. Her height is estimated at about 5'6" (167.64 cm).

Gine is a kind-hearted and gentle Saiyan who cares deeply for her family and friends. She is not interested in fighting or killing, unlike most Saiyans. She is loyal to her husband Bardock. She is also very affectionate and loving towards her sons, Raditz and Goku, and wishes them happiness. She is brave and willing to risk her life to protect her loved ones. She is also friendly and polite to others.

Gine’s relationship with Bardock is complex, built on deep love, understanding, and mutual respect, but also filled with the weight of their harsh realities as Saiyans. Their relationship balances Bardock’s hardened, battle-worn nature and Gine’s more gentle, nurturing personality.

Love and Support: Gine cares deeply for Bardock, and her love for him is evident in how she worries about his well-being. She knows he’s a warrior, and that battle is an inescapable part of his life, but she wishes for him to be more careful, to consider his safety for the sake of their family. Despite the difficulties of being married to someone who is often away, injured, or involved in dangerous missions, Gine stands by him. She supports him, even if it means suppressing her own fears and concerns. Bardock, in turn, clearly cares for her, though his way of expressing it is more subtle—he may not always show it outwardly, but his actions, like reassuring her that he’ll come back or his promise to be more careful, reveal that he treasures her deeply.

Contrasting Personalities: While Bardock is tough, distant, and focused on his warrior duties, Gine is more empathetic, nurturing, and emotionally aware. She serves as the emotional anchor for their relationship. Gine isn’t a warrior, and she often finds herself in the role of caregiver, ensuring their home remains a safe and peaceful space for their son, Kakarot (Goku). She wants Bardock to be a part of that peace as well, which leads to her occasional frustration and worry when his battle-driven nature comes to the forefront. Bardock, though understanding of her concerns, sometimes becomes defensive or downplays his injuries because of the pride and stoic nature ingrained in him as a Saiyan warrior.

Shared History and Unspoken Bond: Their relationship also reflects the shared history they have as Saiyans. They’ve been through much together, including the harshness of their warrior culture and the loss of their planet. This history gives them a bond that transcends words—there’s a deep connection between them, despite the fact that Bardock is often distant or emotionally closed off. Gine understands Bardock in ways others might not, and while she sometimes wishes he could be more open, she respects the man he is.

Parenting and Family: When it comes to raising their son, Kakarot, their love for him is an additional unifying factor. Gine’s maternal instincts are strong, and she’s the one who advocates for a gentler approach in raising Kakarot. Bardock, while still loving and protective, tends to see the world through a more hardened lens, and this affects how he views their son’s future. Though he wants Kakarot to survive and thrive, he’s often torn between the desire to protect him and the reality of the violent world they live in.

Tension Between Duty and Family: The tension between Bardock’s duty as a warrior and Gine’s desire for a peaceful, safe home is a recurring theme. Gine constantly reminds Bardock of the stakes of his actions—not just for himself, but for their family’s future. Bardock, on the other hand, feels a deep sense of responsibility toward his people, even if it puts him in harm’s way. This push and pull is what shapes much of their dynamic.

In summary, Gine’s relationship with Bardock is one of deep emotional connection, shaped by mutual love, respect, and understanding. They complement each other’s strengths and weaknesses—where Bardock is tough and focused, Gine is nurturing and emotionally intelligent. Their bond is a mix of quiet tenderness, the realities of being a Saiyan family, and the ever-present tension between love and duty.
