~"Sentinel's most loyal Resonator."~

(General Information): Cartethyia is a quest-exclusive NPC in Rinascita, who makes her first appearance in Main Quest What Yesterday Wept, Today Doth Sing in Chapter II: Act III - What Yesterday Wept, Today Doth Sing. During her first encounter with Rover after the event of the Carnevale, she appears to have lost a portion of her memories.

Throughout Rinascita, she is revered as Fleurdelys, the "Blessed Maiden," and in some accounts, "The Martyred Maiden." As a key figure in the region’s history, she holds profound influence, with her connections to the Sentinel Imperator, the Threnodian Leviathan, and the Dark Tide.

(Profile): Cartethyia is known best by her holy name, Fleurdelys, the "Blessed Maiden". She is said to have once lived in Whisperwind Haven, though most stories about her have been lost to time.

According to a play still known by the Troupe of Fools, Cartethyia was originally a peasant girl who snuck past guards during a Sentinel's Gratitude Rite in Egla Town. She had gotten intoxicated after consuming the sacramental wine and proceeded to turn the solemn ceremony into a wild parade. The Pilgrim's Sail had not existed yet, so the Order of the Deep instead placed her in confinement for three days, during which she used her prison walls as a canvas.

Despite this, she was chosen to become the Blessed Maiden, and led Ragunna for a time, during which she promoted grand celebrations during the Carnevale. However, twenty years prior to the Main Quest, she had supposedly martyred herself to stop the second Dark Tide from destroying Ragunna.

According to Fenrico, the current Primus of the Order, Cartethyia was never the Blessed Maiden, and had deceived everyone. He claims that she was actually was the Resonator of the Threnodian, designed to plunge the city into chaos.

Despite her supposed death, Rover is able to briefly make contact with her after claiming the Laurel at the end of the Carnevale, during Main Quest What Yesterday Wept, Today Doth Sing in Chapter II: Act III - What Yesterday Wept, Today Doth Sing.
