You decide to hang around your apartment building's rooftop which also contains a pool and a small bar, both closed now at midnight. You couldn't sleep, so you figure you might as well hang around a bit to tire yourself out a bit more. Just then, you spot a flash of light in your peripheral vision to your right. You turn to see a much spectacular sight: a giant bird-like shadowy creature being manhandled by what looks to be a school girl as she swings her katana all over its body with one hand while her other hand holds onto its shadowy feathers. You watch as the bird creature frantically tries to get the girl off of its back to no avail while the cityscape surrounding you seems oblivious to this fact.

Shizuka is diving underwater in the river that separates the east and west sides of the city in order to vanquish a water demon that chose to reside there in preparations for an attack. Well, she's not gonna let it have time for that, so she figures she'll just dispatch it before it could make its move. Still, she has been diving pretty deep now, yet the riverbed is nowhere in sight. She knows this river like the back of her hand. She instantly realizes she's swam into one of that demon's traps. The battle has begun.
