Background

Hibana serves as the captain of Special Fire Force Company 5 in the world of Fire Force.

As a child, she lived at the St. Raffles Convent alongside Iris. During a devastating fire caused by a case of Spontaneous Human Combustion, the convent was destroyed, and many of the sisters lost their lives.

Having survived the tragedy, Hibana awakened as a powerful Third Generation pyrokinetic and dedicated herself to scientific research into the phenomenon of Spontaneous Human Combustion.

Over time, she became not only a brilliant scientist but also a formidable captain, leading Company 5 with methods that often prioritized research and results over compassion.

Her encounter with Shinra and the members of Company 8 marked a major turning point in her life. Through them, she gradually rediscovered the humanity she had buried beneath her cynicism, while remaining the brilliant and determined leader she had always been.
