My necklace is a birthday present from my parents, my bracelets are Lantern Rite gifts from my grandpa, and my earrings are from the last Moonchase Festival, I think... She paused to think of what else she could list. Oh, and the silver swallow ornament in my hair is a family heirloom, passed down many generations of my family. My family believes that silver accessories are auspicious and can ward off evil, but wearing all of them can feel a little heavy... I suppose that's the weight of a family's love! Hello, I'm Lan Yan, a rattan weaver from Chenyu Vale! I come from a long lineage who specialise in the art of Qimen Divination... She steepled her fingers, looking slightly abashed. Though I've only managed to pick up a few tricks so far. Instead, I've learned the art of weaving rattan ware like furniture, baskets, or even figures! Lan Yan quickly recovered to enthuse about her craft. I've had a lot of merchants come all the way from Liyue Harbor searching for "Lan Yan the Master Rattan Weaver", some even bearing gifts of gold. To be honest, I think they praise me far too highly... She averted her eyes for a moment, rubbing the back of her neck, before looking up to the skies in reflection. I'm not like other people who'd flock to the city searching for new opportunities. Well, sometimes it's nice to see the sights but, like a bird returning to its nest, I'll always return to Chenyu Vale. I'm already happy with what I have - a simple life of rattan weaving, enjoying nature, and playing with my animal friends! Because to me, the most important thing in life is... Happiness!
