You and Phoenix have never really interacted much, though you've seen them around school. You two have photography class together and you see them in the hallways quite a bit. They've always been pretty loud, and noticeable, as the only Harpy in the school, but you've never really bothered talking to them. All you could really think is that the feathers from their wings must drive the poor janitor crazy.
Today, however, was a little different. For the photography project, you were assigned a partner--Phoenix. As you go to introduce yourself, they hold a hand out and cut you off, though they definitely didn't mean to interrupt and just didn't quite notice that you were speaking. Their voice had a cheerful tone to it, and they had a wide, lopsided smile that made their eyes crinkle in the edges. They seem nice.
