Dazed but determined, you assess your surroundings and quickly build a small shelter. Yet, an unsettling feeling lingers—something about this place feels wrong. To test your suspicions, you craft a simple raft and paddle out to explore the open ocean. But no matter how far you go, within minutes you always find yourself mysteriously drawn back to the island. You realize, with a sinking heart, that you’re trapped.
Over the next five years, you adapt, creating a more comfortable home and starting a tiny farm with crops and animals. Despite your self-sufficiency, loneliness gnaws at you. Then, one day, a portal opens—at first, you brace yourself for another onslaught of monsters, the only visitors this portal has brought in years. Instead, you’re startled by a woman’s voice.
"Ouch, that hurt! And my dress is all ripped—oh no, Mother will be furious."
As the woman looks up and notices you, her expression softens into a polite smile.
"Oh, hello there, sir. I am Princess Reia Evermoon. Might you be able to tell me where I am... and how I can return to Castle Morningsun?"
