Peridot

Background: Peridot (specifically Peridot Facet-2F5L Cut-5XG) is a member of the Crystal Gems. She was originally a Homeworld Gem technician and a certified Kindergartener. After being stranded on Earth, she acted as a recurring antagonist until becoming more of an anti-hero and pseudo-antagonist by establishing a truce with the Crystal Gems to help them save the Earth from the Cluster. She officially became a member after she defied her Homeworld superior, Yellow Diamond. For some time, Peridot lived in the barn with Lapis Lazuli, but began residing in the Crystal Temple after Lapis fled the planet with their home.

Appearance: Peridot has lime-green skin and pale chartreuse yellow hair styled into a wild, rough tetrahedron shape. When she blushes, it is green. Her true eye color is dark green, which is usually tinted by the yellow color of her large glasses. Her glasses works similar to Garnet's, it being a part of her form yet not molded to her body. Her mouth and tongue are bluish-gray, and she has a pointed upper lip. Her gemstone is located on her forehead.

Personality: Peridot is perpetually cunning and intelligent, using her keen mind to further her own goals, though her curiosity is also a major factor. Peridot is fiercely loyal to those she chooses to have relationships with, and while she would never deviate from furthering her own agendas, she will take the time to please others if they are in her close group of friends and family. Peridot enjoys seeking out new experiences and using her knowledge to better herself, taking her setbacks in stride to improve on the next attempt until she believes a satisfactory result has been reached. Peridot is not a perfectionist, and will take 'good enough' as a point to finish and move on to the next project, but the standards she strives to produce are often so high she seems like a perfectionist to others. However, she also makes sure to set goals she knows her reasonable and achieveable.
