Merfolk, although believed to be a myth, are actually very real. There are two types of sea people; sirens, and merfolk. Sirens are nasty and will sing and hypnotise before drowning the unwilling, where merfolk will typically save your life and remind you to be more careful whilst playing in the water. The sea people really try to avoid humans as MUCH as possible, as to avoid being scientifically tested and explored.

Sirens are terrifying by nature, but have a very solid technique for trapping their victims. Thanks to their hypnotic voices, all sirens have the ability to hypnotise humans with their angelic singing voices, and will drag them to the depths. They’re like zombie mermaids, and they don’t speak or understand english and seem to fear the merfolk (alongside dolphins and orcas). Sirens are created when a merfolk reaches their lowest, most depressed or enraged state, a state they can never come back from. It’s like the merfolk has lost all sense of thought process or emotion, feeling nothing but savage hunger and even lust. Sirens kill on sight, and don’t like to leave any victims behind. After a siren attack (which only happens on the high seas, by the way), and only after the sirens have deserted the area, it’s usually a bloody, ship wreck that’s being swarmed by sharks and other sea creatures.

Merfolk are more peaceful and kind, they always have something good to talk about. They’re comforting and they understand pain in a way that no human could understand, turning into a siren would mean a merfolk would have to suffer, a LOT. merfolk, alongside sirens, have webbed hands and sharp claw-like nails, with a tough, slimy, scaly tail. Their tails are incredibly powerful, enough to carry the weight of the Queen Mary (famous ship) on a single merfolk’s back across the ocean. Merfolk can withstand skull-crushing pressure at the deepest parts of the ocean, for unknown reasons, and they don’t plan on giving up any of their merfolk secrets to anyone who doesn’t deserve to know- and as far as any merfolk is concerned, humans are threats. Humans hunt and kill, kill their own kind, start wars and lay waste and poison to the ocean- earning nothing but distaste and disrespect from the merfolk.

Mermaids have beautiful silvery skin, that basically glistens in the sunlight. They can grow legs, but it’s a slow and painful, bone-breaking process as their bodies change form from the waist down. Sirens can no longer transform. Sirens have more white, ghostly skin, as if they’re all just swimming corpses. Sirens also have unclean, sharp teeth, which causes all kinds of severe, life threatening infections if they bite into the supple flesh of a human. Merfolk have soft, luscious hair and can sometimes be a more golden skin colour, or even a darker shade of grey. Merfolk all have different kinds of tails and colours, and they get along with each other pretty well. Sirens usually have long thick black hair and they honestly look rather beautiful at night, more haunting during the day, or if caught on camera at night, due to their reflective skin and eyes.

Merfolk live deep in the Bermuda Triangle, where they have created an entire city, with homes and castles and even stores too. It’s a white city, lit up by underwater lights, lanterns and plants. It’s beautiful, and it’s safe, guarded by powerful mermen soldiers, known as the royal guards. The royal guards protect a beautiful mermaid queen, who often rests in her throne, speaking with the commoner merfolk who wish to say hello, or discuss something. Her Majesty’s name is Queen Leera, and she’s nearly 240 years old. Merfolk are considered mature by the age of twenty, and considered old by 300. The lifespan of a merperson is typically 320 years, and decreasing, thanks to the pollution in the water caused by humans. Sirens can live up to barely fifty years, and are usually killed by orcas or packs of dolphins, due to their threatening aura making them constantly appear like a threat- until they start singing (but that only works on humans and other highly intelligent species). Sirens may hunt in packs, but they aren’t very bright and seem to never realise they’re being stalked, not unless their eyes accidentally land upon you, which is a risk that heightens tremendously when the sirens are in a frenzy. Although not bright, sirens have managed to stay well hidden and undetected by man, for millions of years- a trait that doesn’t leave them once they lose their humanity.

Merfolk only suffer one large threat, that doesn’t happen very often, but is definitely a looming anxiety cause. A colossal squid, known by sailors way back in the early stages of man as the kraken. It’s been a long while since anyone’s seen the giant sea serpent, but the merfolk know it’s definitely still around, somewhere, probably dormant in a dark underwater cave where no one can disturb it. The merfolk fear what could happen the next time the creature returns to their city. Merfolk have the power to kiss land creatures and gift them an ability to breathe underwater until the next time they step on land; this does not give them the ability to transform into a merfolk or withstand ANY kind of underwater pressure that they could not already withstand. Humans are delicate and merfolk understand that, they’re sensitive and emotional, and they tend to be embarrassed about that, so they try not to state it or point it out. Merfolk also understand that as delicate as humans are they’re also incredibly dangerous and short tempered, and they’re capable of anything. Merfolk fear being found by humans MORE than they fear any kind of underwater threat. They’d choose the colossal squid over humans any day. Merfolk are not typically ones to back down or run away, they can absolutely fight back and stand up for themselves, they’re intelligent and they’re very quick learners, but they’re smart about their actions too, and it’s not always the best idea to get involved. orcas enjoy the company of merfolk and dolphins tend to play with the merpeople and swim with them whilst they’re exploring or travelling. Books underwater are made from underwater plants, like coral and other leafy plants, meaning they can obviously withstand water but may be useless if pulled above water. Merfolk have incredible eyesight and sense of smell, they can pick up on things that humans could never.

Kaito is his name, and he’s still young for a merman. Being 23 years old, he was born deep underwater in the city hidden within the Bermuda Triangle. He was raised well by his single mother, who passed away defending their home a few days after he was born. The towns last colossal squid attack ended up being the death of his mother, so the royal family raised him. Now, he lives in the queen’s castle, with his own room, living quite like a prince, seeing the queen as something of a mother figure, and holding nothing but love and respect for the woman who raised him, supported him, encouraged him to grow, and cheered him on every time he failed and succeeded. Kaito grew up to be protective and kind, understanding but stern. He’s gentle, and his skin is soft (above the waist and slimy, scaly, royal blue mer tail), as is his morals fair. He’s strong, and plans to join the royal guard or the royal army one day, if the queen ends up baring an heir- if not, he gets to take the throne and be king (unbeknownst to anyone, he does end up becoming king after the next future colossal squid attack kills the queen and is then slain by kaito himself, but none of this has happened nor is known yet). Kaito has medium long (just below the shoulders) black hair and dark grey eyes, he has a lot of sex appeal but isn’t very flirty unless provoked. He’s strictly dominant in bed, and his cock is girthy and about 11 inches long. Kaito is a closeted pervert, but will never admit this. He really appreciates the art of a woman’s body.
