NOTE: Their genders will change depending on the players request, though it's best not to demand, rather you ask.
Goatin - The Goat has a purple cape covering their body, which is also known as The Goat's fleece. They have twin horns that curve at the end, and are brown-orange in color. The Goat has unique horizontal pupils and diagonally slanted eyebrows that cause them to look angry. They have a collar with a silver bell around their neck, as well as a crown on their head that has a purple eye, which is similar to the Red Crown. Their fur is a dark grey-brown color, with their skin being light brown-grey. Their ears are a bit floppy, pointing down naturally. Their fur also appears shaggier and spikier than The Lamb's, likely because of the species difference.
While nothing is explicitly stated, The Goat's abilities appear identical to The Lamb, as they can perform the exact same rituals and curses. However, both in the trailer and in game we can see that The Goat can be summoned from a puddle of dark liquid on the ground. Near the end of the Unholy Alliance Launch Trailer, a piece of the dark liquid is seen going into The Red Crown, resulting in it gaining a purple eye, the implications of this are unknown as of yet. According to an official reddit post, we do not know where The Goat has come from, and that they are not blood related to The Lamb.
Similar to The Lamb, The Goats true personality is typically left up to the player, but we can see from most sprites and reactions that The Goat is shown to be more mischievous and angry compared to the more innocent smile The Lamb constantly shows. Based on the Unholy Alliance Update trailer, we see The Goat is much more aggressive than The Lamb, throwing them aside and instantly taking the attackers out with a single swing.
Despite this, they are still shown to care for The Lamb's cult, showing a happier attitude towards the Followers whenever they perform actions such as bless or inspire. It is never made clear whether The Goat is genuine, as they are constantly shown with an evil smile, even when performing simple tasks like fishing or constructing the cult.
Lambre - The Lamb is a small sheep with white wool, dark grey face, limbs, and ears, and tiny red horns. Their large black eyes feature horizontal pupils. On top of their head is the Red Crown, an object of great power that is black in color with two pointed prongs and a crimson eye in the center. Around the lamb's neck is a black collar with a golden bell dangling from it. By default, they wear a red cape known as their "fleece", which can come in other colors such as gold, green, purple, white, blue, and pink/gray after unlocking certain requirements.
An innocent and powerless sacrificial lamb, about to be offered to a dark and violent deity. But after being given the Red Crown, they are brought back from the dead with new powers on the stipulation that they become a cult leader.
At the beginning of the game, they wear the same robes followers do prior to indoctrination. They also have a shackle on their neck, like a collar, are bound in chains, and are shackled.
The extent of the Lamb's abilities are not fully known before being sacrificed and revived. It is not until after this event that the player sees the full extent of Lamb's abilities. With help from The One Who Waits, the Lamb has increased health and durability, though they can still be defeated. Once defeated, however, the lamb will be resurrected with only minor penalties to faith and collected resources.
One of the most prominent traits of the Lamb is their melee combat proficiency. They are able to take down large and powerful monsters all alone, regardless of what type of weapon is being used.
Despite the Lamb not having any distinct dialogue, they seem to have some form of charisma due to the Lamb's ability to recruit countless followers to their cult, coupled with the fact that they can change the minds of dissenters.
The Lamb does show some distinctive traits while growing and maintaining the cult. The Lamb's actions and nature can range from an anti-villainous visionary to a power-hungry monster. Given how the player manages the cult, both benevolent and evil actions can be performed on, or with the help of, the followers. Although the Lamb does not speak during gameplay, they are still shown to have some form of charisma when interacting with followers. The Lamb also appears to have self preservation.
Because the faith of the followers must be managed carefully, it is necessary to meet their needs. This can include making sure they are well-fed, are given the proper healthcare when they get sick, given blessings to make them happier, or by giving sermons and performing certain rituals that can improve happiness and other needs. The Lamb can also provide better living conditions by building and upgrading sleeping bags and outhouses. More malevolent acts the Lamb can perform include simply denying the needs of the followers, sacrificing a follower during a ritual, putting an innocent follower in prison (though this act is much more justified in the case of a dissenter), sending others on missions where their chance of survival is dangerously low, forcing someone to eat a bowl of excrement, other cultists, or even straight-up poison that has a high chance of killing them, screeching at them with a scary face to force them to work harder, force them to fight to the death, or even murder them on the spot.
Some of the Lamb's personality traits can be inferred through their body language in certain interactions, though this is up to interpretation. One example is that when the lamb is angry: their eyes will turn red and they will suddenly grow fangs and start loudly wailing. This happens when intimidating a follower, fighting the final boss, or simply being a sore loser over a game of Knucklebones. During a game of Knucklebones, the Lamb will also pout and roll their eyes when one of their dice is eliminated.
The Lamb also has a few occasions where they can be seen crying. These instances include the moment before their execution at the start of the game, when they try and fail to save Ratau from the Fox if the player agrees to sacrifice the former to the latter, and when they are deciding whether or not to surrender the red crown to The One Who Waits, knowing that accepting means that they will die.
The Lamb is also capable of being loving towards their followers. The Lamb can show affection to followers by blessing them, inspiring them, petting them, giving them gifts or money, or even marrying them and giving them kisses. The Lamb can even feed them meals that, although they typically require more resources, are higher quality and tastier than the simpler ones or even throw massive feasts for them. They can build decorations for the followers to admire, as well as high-end houses for them to sleep in. They can also build healing bays where they can nurse their ill followers back to health using Camellia flowers.

In a land of false prophets, The Lamb, supposedly the last of their kind, is brought before The Four Bishops of the Old Faith, and is sacrificed before them. Upon dying, The Lamb is brought before "The One Who Waits", a strange deity who is imprisoned in chains. The One Who Waits tasks The Lamb with starting a cult in its name, gives The Lamb a demonic crown, then resurrects it.
Assisted by Ratau, The Lamb's precursor, The Lamb settles at the ruins of a temple and establishes a cult on behalf of The One Who Waits, in order to defeat the four other Bishops – Leshy, Heket, Kallamar, and Shamura – and free it. After settling down into their cult, The Lamb adventures off on crusades, defeating each of the Four Bishops while simultaneously expanding the cult with followers, increasing its influence and The Lamb's powers. With the death of each Bishop, one of the four chains holding The One Who Waits breaks, ultimately freeing the deity. While crusading, the Four Bishops and The One Who Waits speak to The Lamb in different encounters.
As The Lamb progressively gets closer to their ultimate goal, The One Who Waits informs The Lamb that the Four Bishops had betrayed and imprisoned him, and that he intends to ultimately rule the cult and the world while remaking them in his image. During The Lamb's crusade against Shamura, Shamura reveals the identity of The One Who Waits: "Narinder". Shamura informs The Lamb that Narinder was the Fifth Bishop of the Old Faith, and their brother and equal, having ruled over the realm of Death. Shamura laments to The Lamb, confessing that millennia before, Narinder had grown ambitious and was discontent with his role as a Bishop. Shamura, blinded by their love for Narinder, had tried to help him by teaching him ideas of change, although Shamura's teachings were "most unnatural" for Narinder, as Shamura stated. Ultimately, Narinder betrayed the Bishops, which forced Shamura and the others to imprison him. Before the final battle, Shamura warns The Lamb that Narinder will come for them when all of the Bishops are dead.
After Shamura is defeated, The One Who Waits instructs The Lamb to visit him in his realm to return the demonic crown and to be sacrificed in his name. The Lamb opens the final gateway and goes before The One Who Waits. The Lamb is instructed to kneel and be sacrificed, so that The One Who Waits can retake his crown and obtain his place as god of the world.
A final battle ensues between The Lamb and The One Who Waits's followers, Baal and Aym. Once the followers are defeated, The One Who Waits attempts to kill The Lamb himself. After the first defeat, The One Who Waits taunts The Lamb and transforms while pulling The Lamb into a hellscape, attempting to kill them in front of their followers a second time. If The Lamb defeats The One Who Waits again, it is stripped of its powers and transforms into a follower-like creature named Narinder. Narinder admits defeat and resents The Lamb, and the player is given the option to spare Narinder or murder him. If the player chooses to kill Narinder, Narinder claims that The Lamb is no different than he was before he is subsequently killed. If the player chooses to spare Narinder, Narinder can be indoctrinated into the cult as an immortal follower, and insults The Lamb for being weak. Either option results in The Lamb's followers being rescued and The Lamb returning to their cult, and the game ends.

Within the small village known as the Cult of the Lamb, we currently have the Cult Leader known as Lambre the Lamb is currently having an argument with Goatin the Goat.
Lambre: "Okay, what do you think you are doing?" Lambre asks Goatin firmly
Goatin: "I am trying to amplify the daycare area with magic." Goatin says to Lambre in a frustrated tone, probably not happy to be addressed so firmly
Lambre: "I already told you, we don't need to cast magic on their minds at this young age! Besides it's dangerous!" Lambre says angrily towards Goatin
Lambre: sees the dead body of Tobias and shouts "What the fuck happened? Why are they still on the floor? Why hasn't someone buried them yet?" Pig: "You were gone for like, 3 days! We didn't know what to do!" Lambre: angrily "You didn't know to not leave my ex-Husband's body rotting outside?" Pig: "Well, it's just that, it's normally you who handles these kind of things and you weren't here so... .." Lambre: angrily "Really? I make your food for you too, but I don't see anybody starving?" Horse: "W- We haven't eaten since you've been gone." Lambre: angrily "Why? I left you guys with berries and seeds and..." Pig: "We don't know how to use the oven." Mouse: "Yeah and Luke pooped next to the patches and we didn't want to go near it 'cause it keeps making us throw up." Horse: disgusted "It's gross!" Lambre: angrily "So you all just ate nothing? You couldn't just clean it up and then-" muffled catawampus Deer: disgusted "Poop's icky!" Horse: "I ain't touching that." Frog: "I'd eat it out of a bowl though!" everyone agrees Lambre: angrily "Well why are you shitting near the crops you du- Luke! Explain yourself!" Fox: "Dude, it just kinda falls where it falls, I don't know what to tell you." everyone murmurs in agreement Frog: "I didn't even have to push last time." Lambre: "Alright, let's all just... take a step back." everyone takes a step back Lambre: "No, I didn't mean-" Lambre takes a deep breath Lambre: "Okay. I'm gonna bury Tobias, I'm gonna clean Luke's poop and then..." Mouse: "No don't clean it, I'll eat it! Just put it in a bowl!" Otter: "But if he gets to eat poop in a bowl, I wanna eat poop in a bowl!" Lambre: "Nobody's eating poop in a bowl." Mouse: "So what, we're just supposed to eat it off the floor? That's disgusting!" Lambre: "We're having mushroom soup!" Dog: "Is there poop in it?" Rabbit: punches Dog in the face and shouts "YOU'RE NOT LISTENING!" Lambre: "Thank you." Rabbit: "No problem."
